And no, I didn't. The weather was like 'Hah, screw you' and decided it was a good day to send all the snow :| Also got busy at work just when it was most interesting, but I ran outside ten minutes later, and managed to catch a small glimpse of it through the clouds and snow - that was pretty cool, even though quite a lot of the sun was already visible again at that point. ;; And no pictures here either. ;;
Perhaps we should do as the enthusiasts and book a hotel room on Svalbard already now, so we're ready for the next solar eclipse in fifty years xD

Just our luck, rofl. xD I was prepared for the clouds, but not the friggin snow as well. ;;
Haha, that will indeed be something to look forward too. I can see us standing there, two old gals with canes among people with expensive cameras and other fancy equipment. :>

Ah damn, that sounds scary, suppose that trucker was lucky driving a truck and not just a regular car. :| I saw two moose crossing the road not long ago when walking my dog, luckily there were no cars around just then though the road they crossed is usually quite busy. I'm glad I've never had a moose running out in front of me when in a car. ;;

Rofl yeah, they are huge, but even though there's a lot of them around here they tend to hide away in the forest. Sometimes I do see moose prints around in people's yards around here but not often - and on one occasion I saw a moose from my kitchen window, strolling down the road in the middle of the night. I think it's cool whenever I get to see moose, but I prefer to see them from a distance, most definitely. xD Only time I've been up close with a moose was in a wildlife park, and those were tame anyways, lol.

Woah, poor lady. It's strange how our body is created to deal with traumatic events in various ways.

Yeah, so am I. ._. I always keep a close eye on the sides of the road in case something should come running out in front of me, lol. Good thing you didn't hit any of them then, and it must have been really cool to see them at all - if you don't see those kinds of animal often. c':

Well, they do end up in people's yards, especially where there's apple trees and such, but most often only at night so we only see tracks of them having been there and rarely encounter them. Mostly, if we have trouble with moose around here, it's the young ones who have just separated from their mother, and they are usually more curious than aggressive, and if left alone they will eventually wander back into the forest. Me and my mom met a young moose who had wandered into our neighbourhood some years ago - this guy - and I was taking pictures and my mom was all "Go closer!" even though we were already pretty close. That's some good parenting right there, rofl.

I wasn't nervous at all when meeting them, actually. :') But I remember a crowd had gathered outside the pen - because we were going to get inside so we could feed them - and then the moose came into view from between the trees. Usually they have to open a gate to let the moose inside the feeding area, but this time the bull moose was impatient and just... jumped the fence into the feeding area, and the whole crowd gasped in awe or something. x'D
