While eating dinner with my family today, something suddenly hit me as the news blared one petty crime after the other at us.
The world would be such a better place if every human being was fitted with a microchip in their brain that could give them mild shocks or momentarily paralyse them if they ever broke the law, and a monitoring person to go with that, who spent their time watching all the different screens broadcasting from all the different chips. That way, no-one would be stealing anything, killing anyone, abusing anything, crime would be IMPOSSIBLE.
And then the second realization hit me...
I'm one death-ray away from evolving into a Bond-villain.
So yeah, needless to say, I very well comprehend the issues in such a near-apocalyptic scenario, but still...
No-one would be wronging each other.
Now gimme dat death-ray.
Haha, I'm always terrified by
Feels vaguely like this book,
Feels vaguely like this book, or perhaps 1984. c;
@Terabetha: Me too, it's just
@Ocean: Interesting, I gotta read those! >w<
If I had a death ray, I'd

And if you think like this too, I'd say I like your brain too!~ Btw, congrats on winning the Golden Antlers! >w<
Thank you! Hey have you ever
Hey have you ever seen Equilibrium? Your idea sounds like a more violent version of their emotion suppressors. I wonder who will be chosen to rise up to strike down your chip-shocking tyranny... << >>
Seen it, loved it, nerded all
And probably some under-dog who somehow managed to short-circuit the chip... Hmm, reminds me I gotta install a failsafe for such an occasion... a permanent paralysis should do it...
[late] I have an entire list
I have an entire list of apocalypse fiction. -nodnod- It's the genre I read most. >>
Just ask if you need reading material.
ALSO.
I was reminded of A Clockwork Orange as well. Great book. >u>
Heh, a clockwork orange...
Ouu, dystopian! So
So interesting to think about, hehe.
Indeed~ And tempting to make
DO EEET. Lawl I keep making
Lawl I keep making you make characters. SORRY.
CHIP ME AND DIE. *runs off*
Amazon: You too?
Chickenwhite: "Heh, a clockwork orange... absolutely love the movie, but I don't think I could handle the book, what with the way it's written TwT;;"
The first chapter is painful. xD Then after that...you get used to it. It's weird. o_o' I suggest trying it someday!
Also, that deer sounds absolutely awesome. xD
@Ryff: FFFFFFFF, COME BACK
XDD
I am so tempted to do it, but I'm just not motivated to mess with the CSS for a blog for something like that XD
@Ocean: Yeah, I can imagine, after all, the human brain easily adapts to stuff like that >w< I might as well give it a whirl here on my vacation~
And if you guys keep saying that, I might actually make that deer XDD
