Way back when, on my second account and after my first few days here I posted in a thread where one of the older members (unplugged springs to mind but I'm not sure it was you) had a thread similar to this one where people posted and the OP posted who their favourite character was and what they liked about them.
And it stuck with me you know? I really liked it and it made me feel good about myself and my characters. And I like other peoples characters. So I wanna appreciate them a little;
Comment here (with either your own character hub preferably if you have one, or a friends if you want) and I'll pick one of your characters to 'show case' and tell you why I like them, just something to boost moral though I could also offer light criticism if anyone even cares about my opinion ahah ovo

If I had a hub up, I'd definitely throw my characters at you. But seeing as only one (I think, lol) has an image, there's not too much to give an opinion about besides personalities. xD
@ Echo Well that'd be easy
At first it was because I wanted him and Harry to be friends, (which promptly never happened because Harry is a socially awkward jerk but I digress) Ross gives off a very boyish charm that is very appealing, his design is both unique in what it is but comfortingly simple too, if I ever saw a pic of him I'd know it was him straight off the bat.
But it also extends to his personality, to me there's a lot of good in him, a lot of trust he puts in and takes from others which is admirable, and though from a strictly outsiders perspective he's maturing sorta? Coinciding with the recent events but I still see the helpful and affectionate side which is very bububu bab lemme touch your foof //PAPPING INTENSIFIES.
And theres little details I like about him, now I'm routing through his bio too, I love little titbits like his affinity to snow or dislike of Poppies. Just makes him seem more real in all uvu

@ Nazzard, Surpirisingly my favourite isn't Kal it's Kyrian. Because first of all fire pony heck yeah. I havent seen a firepone on here, the forest needs more pones in general (
but not fire or human faced ones you outsider that's reading this I'LL CUT YOU I SWEAR). Kyrians design is very notable. Again one of those if I saw it I'd know it was him straight away, even from the silhouette maybe with those spikes of his.I love his flaw too, the genetic raarr-raarr-babies-rarr is unique and delightful in its awkward terribleness, and his raw sometimes instinctual nature means every time I check his blog or hear from you about him theres always the moment of oh kyrian what now silly goose which is still really amusing to read about. SILLY GOOSE, SILLY BIG BABY KILLIN GOOSE.
@Poppy, HELLO WISTERIA YOU ADORABLE LITTLE MITE. Perhaps it's because I'm more of an insider on this one but ever so slowly watching her grow over the past week or so is heart warming, even if she is becoming a danger hog. Her design is visually appealing, shes cute but also I picture her with a smudged little rapscallion face and constantly dirty hooves and things stuck in her coat she cant quite get out on her own. baBu.
Her energy is really fun too, to interact with and to read her updates of her napoleon complex and the way although she doesn't fully understand, she's trying at least and its so hella cute weh weh babBY.
@Impede, from your three I'd choose Umber because melanistics are hella and the way she colours herself with temporary pigments mean her design concept is really fun to envision, from bit splotches of colour where she could have rolled in it to fine concentrated dabs, like a painting or sand drawing ;D
She does seem really sweet and friendly, one that could always be seen in a large family group probably entertaining the little ones while their parents take a break. She seems like she'd make a good mother too, though possibly rather naive? it'll be fun to see what happens to her <3

For Torn i'd say I actually really like Libertad, for a start I love the whole concept with his names, the choosing of what name to give and the adoption/theft of names he finds worthy is so guguguh I love it ;;
Although his design is an adopt, its still very beautiful and unique, and to picture such a creature with his Indian body painting is quite a sight. He gives off such an air of twisted up beauty, like a butterfly thats had a wing damaged and it's still crawling across the plants to the flowers like nothing is wrong, or a dog with three legs and whenever you see it you admire it for what it is with something like 'Bless him, he's trying.' Thats the sort of theme I get, though his struggles are more of his own mental sort I feel empathy for him because its all he seems to know. POOR LIL BUTT /PAPS MORE.
Also Nikhil gets his honorable mention as the obvious choice because damn. Damn. Its enthralling to read of his escapades, the way he develops, the way he sees things, the way he reacts to situations. Though he does come off really, really messed up in so many subtle ways, it really does make you think about it.

His personality is another easily liked one, the compassion and caring that he evidently learnt from his mother doubled with the good douse of drama from the too-easily-angered makes me wish i could have seen how he reacted to things in forest, as he certainly would have been one my boys would have hung around from Takeshi's good nature ouo
For you, it has to be Phaios, despite this pretty lady being deceased and all, her design is still very pretty and a mix of pleasant and simple, yet eye catching at the same time. I love her anubite ears and doglike muzzle (and her eye of horus because I'm a stickler for Egyptian things //pointed look at Ausar).
She also seems like someone who would have been fun to interact with, she seems to pleasant and gives off a very motherly air, like she is the type to help a fawn up from a scraped knee and dust them down, encouraging them to try again. I like her backstory very much too (again egypt hueheue) and I'm a little sad she won't be around D;

P.S. - I've always liked Lazarus from afar because his moustache makes me giggle and he seems like a neat guy -- though poking through your other characters they all have neat designs @.@ (ahmg this little bundle is gorgeous, love the fade to gold - I've tried to get that different-colored-tip hair look many times but never got it quite right so I gave up and just admire all the pretties who pull it off)

BecAUSE HE IS A JERK AND I LOVE JERKS. Like I really can't think of much else to write over that because it eclipses it, but his reaction to scenarios make his updates really amusing to read because similar to Kyrian, it's a lot of "what did u do now shard ya butt" <3
@ Starfox, for you I was about to pick Kettu, its the only character I knew you had, but then I saw Lycaon/Chubbs and my heart melted. What a little cutie! And I haven't ever seen a painted dog mixed on the forest before, so it was a pleasant surprise. He really does look like a little sweetie. His personality only really confirms it with his generous, obedient and loyal traits I can see him becoming fast friends with almost everyone he meets, and I really hope for the best for this lil guy and that he finds a nice big new pack to settle in with, because from the looks of it he deserves it!
For Ebony I would immediately choose Lilith, though its mostly because I have a bias in this little game for characters i've interacted with, I've always really admired Lilith in design and personality. I love her older appearance too, not many people would choose to play an aged character (without copping out and making them a demon or something) and her strong face and unique markings I just reALLY LIKE HER A LOT.
I love her personality to, the reliability in her, the trustworthiness, the feel that she knows what to do in all situations, although I don't really see her as it she does give off the theme of a very caring aunt or grandma to anyone who needs it, and I keep my eyes peeled for her whenever shes in forest uvu
For Soliloquy, its definitely Sonali, what a cutie in all manners of the word. I love her design, I love her big glowing ghostly wings they're so unique and creative, I love her bold gold stripes and adorable little face she is just a major cutie pie.
And her personality is just 'amg babi', I love her fearlessness and her attention hoggy nature, but that shes still very respectful and listens to her mother (something I'm amazed that a fawn player would actually do, so many naughty fawns SO MANY). Shes definitely one I want to give a big snugglecuddle to uvu
@Shadowfly WEH WEH ARIANNA WEH. I wish Laz and her spent more time together unu I always liked how she'd bring out a vaguely protective notion in him and her submissive yet still headstrong nature was rather fun to be around.
The design was still very pleasant, strong blue hues and the purple leg gradient I still remember really enjoying colouring her when I was working on that big piece, I thought she was rather fetching and gave of an air of serenity that I don't think she felt inside very often, which is a pity, I would have liked to see how she matured.
