Trying to find a place that was somewhere he felt a belonging, which hadn't been working out 2 great as he failed to settle in any of the worlds he tentatively explored using bouts of tiring magic. Because of this the news of his fathers passing, and his mother finding him to tell him such, came rather late.

Spoke a simple "Somehow, I knew." as if there had been an almost atmosphere around their home that day that even before he was nearby he could feel. Took it badly, but hid it well as he stared in a cold and glassy fashion and asked if Lilu could bring him back. Informed the illness would still be present and one strong enough to kill him would easily take him again.

Numbly took the key from her that allowed him to visit where she'd lain his sire to rest, and could only muster a soft hug before he left into the deep woods. There his agony turned to spite and hatred, hating himself for not doing something about his fathers decline despite the fact Blake had hid it well and purposely. Hating his mother for not being able to fix it, hating his siblings as if they caused it somehow.

Came to realise the emotions were selfish, over time, and turned instead to a hollow, self deprecating numbness. Hiding from his family but without an outlet to pour his grief, wallowed in unhealthy amounts until he couldn't take it anymore and sought out his mother again in a vague request of "Please help me I'm not coping." but without saying that cause ew feelings.

Had a vaugely nice moment when two of own children saw him crying. Deimos being curious enough to get caught up in comfort and Daeva just sort of caught up in general.



Having spent a lot of time hovering at a distance from his family, but hellicoptered closer when he smelt his mum in trouble (it took him a while) and tutted at her injuries. Wrapped her up the best he could and weaved the flowers from his hair into her bandages to try and make up for her missing tail feathers.

Noted Stria and another fawn (Taveen), and her words. Spent the rest of the evening lounging around on her back using her to prop up his head while he eyed his kids greedily wanting to use them like dress up toys but knowing that wouldn't go over well. Eyed Ragnarr when he appeared but said and did nothing.

Also mom get me a new hat.

Just been hanging around, spending about 70% of his time around his family and the rest just assing about, hoarding his hoard of trinkets, playing his music box and skinning animals to try and weave together some sort of leather back protection for his next big task. Felt rather bitter in his work but although he didn't hide what he was doing, doubted anyone would question why he needed so many leather strips.

Other than that, lounging on rocks with his legs in the air like a slutty cat do.

Received his presents from the family and Leb, delighted with the gift of a bird that he immediately tied to his antler for a few hours by its leg and a long gold string, before trapping it in his den because I HOARD THE THINGS I LOVE. Also delighted by her coat gift that he continues to wear because mmm toasty.

Thankful his mother shared out her food gifts BECAUSE HE DIDN'T HE STORED THAT TOO. Got to work trying to catch something sizable to gift to Leb in return because WHO THINKS OF GETTING PRESENTS AHEAD OF TIME??? Looked over his hoard but everything in it she had mostly given to him or gifts from his mother too precious to give away. Decided to go ask Mommy dearest to help choose something (that maybe she had lolololo greedy sam).

Overall a peaceful week with the family, knew it was a bittersweet time for his parents with the loss of August so offered nothing but his calm and quiet, continuous presence rather than fucking off 80% of the time like he does usually.

STOLED IT by mouth breathing until it noticed and then sitting beside it gently wafting his paws around its vicinity. Wanted to bring it home with him but considering what it was his mother was sad about, considered the appearance of a newborn more a hindrance than a help to her mental state.

Stumbled upon his father quite far from the den and wandered over to him expecting the boar to require help bringing back a kill from a hunting trip. Instead was carefully explained that his younger brother had passed away during his week absence. Evidently shook up about it but swallowed the news and his reaction bravely as it was clearly causing his father great internal pain.

Parted and went to sit near to their home den again, not really sure what to do about it all and shooting long uncertain stares at any family member that looked in his direction. Willing to accept but not really seeking out their company despite feeling loss for the brother he felt he knew too little about and sore that he should have been more of a brother to him than he was.

Decided to stat trying to be nicer to Moloch and Valak now his own Meemoo had escaped, try not to treat fawns like toys and playthings anymore.

Was told by Meao to visit Lebannen, and found the cat at the ruins. Was gifted a key to her cabin in Riki but far from where the monster Varg stayed. And also a vial of poisonous nightmare-like substance that causes night terrors and in some cases, insanity. Praised her highly for the gifts despite his general lack of enthusiasm towards the cabin, but later considered it a good place to stash his pink fawn captive milu that had ESCAPED during his mopes.

Later that morning went and lay down on the hill he most oft saw Romulus and awoke to find the wolf minding his own business behind him. Slunk up and rubbed his face on him in depression and took the opportunity to recount his tale of woe, starting with his desire to want to be a large, powerful male instead of the meek and rather feminine creature he was now.

The male wanted to know why Sam was complaining, and the youth told him that his mother wouldn't like him telling the tale BUT DID IT ANYWAY BECAUSE SAM IS SUUUCH A SHIIIT and didn't see how things could get worse if he did. Long story short, when his momma appeared behind him to shoot disappointingly aggressive stares, he sort of regretted. When sent after her by the wolf with some parting words, thought more on it and asked him to not consider his conversation to be a request to kill Varg on his behalf, more that he'd merely told him his tale and whatever Rom chose to do was his own actions.

Pleased by his acceptance (and fuckin heart eyeing at him) bounced after Lilu and paused beside her awkwardly looking. Eventually went into a conversation that started off with him being bitter and slightly aggressive about the injustice of it all, eventually became curious about her 'job', the rules of it all, what the hell a 'farm' was and why it was important to have one.

Told about his grandfather, and appalled to know he'd turn on his own flesh and blood if he thought there could be something 'wrong' with his grandkids and that was why having a farm was important. Thought on it quietly, thought about Lebannens key too that he'd stashed away at his hoardspot (where he'd been burying meemoo haha) and eventually came to a gentle sort of understanding of his mothers motives.

But still wanted Romulus, or the tigers, to tear Varg apart.

Followed mother to Mol who'd appeared nearby, and apparently zoned tf out during a fight, only to move back to the den to find his family, and found two stranger fawns in the den. Gave them disguised disgusted looks (awkward stares) and refused to bow back as he instead looked to Lilu for her reaction. Knew better than to voice or show his displeasure because his mom liked .... bbbaaabies >8C so just settled down beside her not looking at them.

Basically last weekish Mom went again to Vargland which tore Dad apart, and Sam tried his best to convince her to let him go with her because I AINT A CHILDE YO I GOT A SORD NOW >8C but she would not have any of it.

She left anyway and left Meao in pieces and her children all sad and longing which made Sam fuming again, and stormed off to his seekrit portul to follow her anyway. He couldn't catch up to her in time to be rebuffed and turned around by the guards that sent him on his way with a few smacks for his troubles.

Once back in the forest stormed to the old oak and tried to call down the elder raven by screaming. Eventually it (whoa) worked and the birb came down. Promptly Sam rushed and tried to attack him and was, after a scuffle, pinned. Broke down and relayed his tale of woe that nothing he did seemed to help and things were shit for him and his fam. Birb no curr ofc so Sam eventually switched to just 'let go of me u fuq'.

Raven said he shoulda read the contract and Sam was like 'BITCH I CANT READ >;l' and then the raven was like ? tf u say??? u cant read??? like bro???

After being released from being pinned, yowled and spat at the raven who'd moved to safety on a higher branch. Before storming off to try and do EXACTLY WHAT LILU TOLD HIM NOT TO DO by seeking out Romulus. Luckily did not yet see the wolf.

When mom returned, gave her the cold shoulder after giving a once over. Not that he was particularly annoyed with her, its not like she sent the guards that pushed him back, more that he was annoyed with himself and couldn't bare to have her be around her disapointment of a son.

SIXTH MONTHS OF UPDATES MY ASS.
I'm so lazy. Literally the laziest. If you need any explanation for this seven month gap like you don't already know, ask me on skype.

BUT RECENTLY as in last week, located a lone pink Milu fawn by the pond and just sorta... snatched it. Literally. By the scruff. Hazed by the desire to produce offspring but also tarnished by his general dislike of children and potential sires. Men piss him off right now.

Initially sort of played with the youth but then quickly became a sort of hostile adoption, the way that lionesses adopt baby antelope. Shows signs of food-guarding with the fawn (by being protective in the manner of again, lioness/antelope) but also tolerant and borderline affectionate. Does not see the pink child, for now called simply 'Mine', as an adoption, or even as a child of his own. More like a plaything he can keep to himself.

Because of this, has yet to show it to his family for fear they'd take it from him or otherwise be displeased and generally because hes bitter about sharing. Found an old den near the crying idol and stuffed 'Mine' into it, blocking the exit with a log just heavy enough to carry but keep intruders from his catch. After a week of visiting the other and doing everything from drawing runes, testing magic, throwing the child, pushing him over and then to grooming, singing to and snuggling like a plush toy, took the boy with him to Vargland in a test mostly to see if he could.

Kept to the 'shadows' with the toddler, just watching farmers, stealing odd bits of clothes and things so the naked pink haired child wouldn't die of hypothermia. Sam himself clad in his black dog, feather cloak and rama hat looking a frightening vision if not for the obvious youth beneath the guise. Stayed pointedly away from anywhere the viking king would be, or anywhere the guards seemed to be heaviest. Just observing and making a slight pest of himself.

In theifing though stole another neato knife which he is much pleased with, an axe from a woodpile, various small trinkets and a fox fur he immediately stuffed 'Mine' into when they got back to the forest to make an effort to hide the childs pinkness in case there was someone looking for them. It did end up making him look ridiculous but Sam was pleased.

Returned to stuffing them in the vacant den.

Okay so summary.

One day went to see Varg because hadn't seen in a while. Leb was there. They spoke of their new kitten. Sam flipped and called it an it. Stormed off angrily when Varg shout at him.
Next day Lilu is stare at kitten, Varg and Sam get into eye zooming glare fight. Turns into shouting match. Turns into actual fight but Lilu get in the way.
Varg mangle Lilu, Sam very upset.
Leb shove Varg away and help drive him off, but Varg kidnap Lilu into portal.

Much stress. Goes to get his dad, goes with Leb into portal. Finds Mom and Varg in a hall with a billion other vikings. Dad angry.
Varg says Lilu belongs to him and he wants to keep her and rape her. Sam very upset.
Meao threaten Varg, Varg threaten Meao. Lilu come over and hug Sam, Sam hug mom very scared.
Leb attack Varg, Leb storm off. Meao take family home.

Sam cries and apologises, Lilu tells Sam not to ask Shahla or Romulus for help. Sam feels like he can't do anything to undo it and help her, doesn't know his mother is a huge bitch and this is what she wants to happen. Decides he will find a way to undo it even if it means making a deal behind his mothers back.
Got taken home with the dadger.

Stayed at home for a few days. Then left the den. Has been back, but secretly, only leaving vague signs (like a fresher scent or some scuffed paw marks.) Spending time alone in depression and guilt, hormonal as fuck too but unwilling to want attention from the rutters so seeks complete isolation.

Wanted to go to Varg and beg forgiveness but knew the viking would only spit on him. Came up with a plan. Needs to find someone in particular first, but isn't sure yet where to look for them.

Having been workin on warming Komir up to his dastardly bastardly plan, made him a bird wing scarf which he presented proudly, wasn't much convinced by the rhinos response but worked it into him that he had to lie about where he got it and if he could do that, then Sam would take him to the secret place.

Last night found the rhinoling staring miserablo into the pond, upon approach was rebuffed by his rather angry approach and general aggressive responses. Cottoned on to why it was the other was upset when he threw the scarf Sam had spent a long time on making in the mud. Offendedly scooped it up and called Kom a jerk, storming off with his scarf to be angry at the den.

Found then by Lilu, explained his worry about Nik and Shard finding out why the rhino no longer had his scarf or generally being told by their very upset kid. His mother thus reminding him to be careful and think things through better, before then going on to teach him how to mind block.

Something he'd now start trying to do whenever he assumed his company was in any way magical, as to currently keep it up all the time was a great drain on his energy.

Slunk over to like on Salem afterwards whilst Lilu talked to Cyrus.

Plans in steady motion for revenge, went and spoke to Varg about the accessibility of his world and then confirmed his plan with his mother. Was given a lot to think about in reply but very happy the response was mostly positive. Moved to phase 3, getting everything ready.

(Last nights update that I fell asleep before posting gomen)

Returned from his trip into the human world of vikings laden with gifts, trinkets and items. Greeted his family very warmly but was suprised when his father came at him with the wrath of god in paw. Was cuff-spanked (though he'd be lucky to even lightly bruise from the light but angry papping) but still squealed his protests. Didn't realise that the one day he'd been away had equalled an entire week in forest and his parents had been very worried.

Spoke to Meao about what went on, shared gifts with the family despite his mothers silence, enjoyed her grooming and glad nothing was too deeply disturbed by the whole ordeal.

Even if he is grounded. For ever.

Woke up alone in the den, huffed and went on a mooch to locate family. Found his mother out on an adventure with Mol, greeted her warmly but only vaugely acknowledged his little brother since the fawn very rarely even acknowledged him and Sam is both a spoilt brat and has a dislike of babies.

Didn't appreciate his mothers scowling either, so got in the huff mobile and huffed away to Varg, greeted grumpily, but slouched off feeling like his mother was shadowing him (though she was merely leading the fawn around) and said hello to Nimh, watched a Rhea and sat with a white fawn with long front legs. Didn't linger, started walking back when was ambushed by a sad Leb. Greeted her fondly and lead her back to Varg.

Was offered the chance to go to Varg's human land and leapt all over the opportunity like a flea on a rice cake. Shot off to get his coat, rama!hat and bag with music box, but however grumpy he was being with his momma he had to tell her he was on an adventure, and so tried to keep it brief so she wouldn't worry. Didn't expect to be gone long but had to hurry and go before Meao found out and flipped his shit into the nth dimension.

Stared at a Rom with bowing and buttwriggling (because look I am wearing your coat!!! that you gave meeee!!! from that do- what you staring blankly at me for) while they were preparing to go, and eventually followed the viking beast through his portal with Lebannen in tow.

Woke up in the den to Umay staring dangerously at Rin, apparently having a conversation. Watched in silence before moving to join Gabriel at the top of the hill with two others. Stood with him silently watching until shit went down and fighting broke out again.

Watched in mostly disdain before noticing poor Hisoka caught up in it too. Shot to his side to push him from the fighting out of respect for his mother, knew too well if he tried to fight himself he would have been squished to a mushy pulp. Disappointed in Gabriel for joining in but knew that literally everyone had it out for Rin except for his mother Lilu really.

Was given reassuring touches by Indi through the fighting, especially when he snarled his little face off at Rossamund for coming close, fek u m8. Mostly shadowed Hiso intent to keep the littler one safe, but ended up losing him (around the time Jack went to grab his burning pasta). Milled about, mostly staring at everyone in confusion and moving away from Gabe when he tried to approach, not really sure what to think of him anymore.

Given the cold shoulder by an edgy Shahla, won't forget that. Wandered back to the den and spotted Mateo, was sure he was the father to Indi? Hadn't it been mentioned once? He didn't look much like the bird child but settled with him anyway since Sam thinks everyone loves him and his company.

Casually blanked Salem when he wandered past, feeling awkward and a little guilty since he pulled the head off Rama who he regarded as Salem's son. Luckily was not wearing the head at the time.

Met with his mother and brother Mol at the den, before getting bored with their indifference and shot off to annoy others. Nimh, two others I didn't catch and eventually spied on Romulus with the spitfire doe of his. Had been spotted, so tried to veer away towards the oak but knew he'd been seen, hid behind the tree hoping the wolf would loose interest but instead came at him and chased him off with some antlering.

Nothing but light butt bruises for being so rude, decided there was no hard feelings for the wolf as he mooched towards Hannya instead (just in case, he didn't want to lead rom to the den and have lilu be like 'sam ur friends are bad') and was in awe of her hair, however ratted it was. Was also approached by the viking creature Varg, spoke with him and the Oni about miscellaneous things, Varg's 'gods' and Hannya's origins (as the little half-demon was obsessed that Hannya must be also a half demon, if not a familiar of some sorts) and what happened to the pair of them should they die.

Eventually returned home and curled up wedged between his parents, content.

Found the dead Rama from the event thread. Beheaded him because he didn't like Rama and remembered he always headbutted him so now his head is his. Covered in crusty blood, stashed the head and slept it out. Later slumped beside a Gyors until his mother came. Gleefully showed her what he had done and even more gleeful that she seemed to be chill with it (though he already highly suspected Meao wouldn't be so he did not bring the head near the den.)

Sat around after a brief family play time with the parents, Mol and a Gyors, tried to clean himself off and made a note of asking his mother later in the night to help him hollow the head so he could wear it. Yep.

Babby sitting cus Wisteria abandoned them. When she finally came home, pawned the babies off on her and went to collect Salem, but then Wis followed cus shes duUUUMB. Scowled and had a bit of a hissy fit about having to go back and watch the babies, so took Salem home with him.

Wis came, much angry sibling bickering was had about how Wis was generally a huge hypocrite about everything Sam did, really sick of your attitude Wis, came very close to headbutting his sister. Dragged Valak out the den and flung him around/picked him up/dropped him a lot, which actually made the twiglet squeak which is like 'holy shit a noise'.

Put him on Wis' back, took of Wis' back, generally treated like a bit of a ragdoll. Mimicked Lilus voice to soothe the bab whilst still bickering with Wis. Had his tail pulled and was about to SPIT A LOT OF INK IN YO FAIC GRRRRL DONT U EVEN.

Their squabbling died down when they realized they'd been surrounded by peoples eyeing each other up and generally very tense. Sam dived over Val to protect and then shuffled under a Salem. Eventually just settled beside the large male and had a conversation about magic.

Was eager for the strange being to teach him how to 'create life' fully, was almost tempted to boast about making Lebannen but refrained, deciding to play dumb and see what he could learn. Salem offered, but it meant bodily mutations and an overall devotion/obedience to the male. Which was a no haha don't be silly I love myself too much bro.

Considered talking to Lilu about it, after he gRASSES UP WISTERIA SOMETHING FIERCE.

Spending most of his time hunched by the den as Lilu recovered, not wanting to leave her side much even as his father returned to hunting. Still not having much interest in his younger siblings but also not having much need to, they didn't need him and that was fine by him.

Today was the only break from the mold when Gyors was by the den again, squished the pup and continued with his conflicting 'I love this puppy'/'I hate this puppy' since he was indeed such a cutie pie, but at the same time extremely disloyal and seemed to only be using his family, using Sam, when it suited him.

Decided to follow the pup when it left and found it with Unathi, rolled his eyes and allowed the mare to sniff him but wasn't greatly interested, merely shook his head at the pup who quite rightly just avoided him and stayed out of the way, only adding back to the 'I hate this puppy' motif. Happened again in a similar fashion when Sam went back to the den. Grumpy at feeling tricked again, went to sulk by the stream until Lilu found him, and much cuddling was had.

Lounged around in the den still tucked faithfully beside his dam. Didn't stir when his father took Moloch out to stretch the childs legs. Felt pangs of hunger and could only vaugely imagine what his sire must be going through since at least Sam bothered to get up and go find food.

Luckily though Lilu awoke later in the evening, sat up and began grooming her family. Sam snuggled up to her in almost tears in a clingy deer hug, and diligently groomed her ears the whole while. Elated she was back with them.

Spent the night curled up beside his mother. Occasionally roamed off to eat berries, drink, potty, general listless movements as he quickly returned to her and lay sadly at her side. Watched his father fuss over the newborns and although he mostly felt empty, also felt a slight disgust about them? If it wasn't for them his mother would be alright. They did this to her.

Was angry and misguided when Wis started patrolling, watched her roam over to Gyors and invite him on patrol, and Sam got to his feet and went over too, tempted to shove the pup away for its fickle indecisiveness about who it wanted near it but couldn't find the heart, was all upset and emotional about his mother, and so when Rue awoke and did nothing but run gleefully to the pup and begin playing, Sam snapped.

Racing after her he slammed into the female and kicked out wildly with his forepaws, attempting to bite and slash with his teeth with violent hisses and snarls with as much ferocity as the pre-teen could manage. Meao snapped him out of it with harsh and commanding words and brought him to heel after he somewhat chased his sister off, and came back to lie beside his mother and wait.

After a while, she twitched, breathed a little louder, mouthed words to him and Sam was elated, he told her that they were all here, and without words told her how much he loved her as his father told her the health of her newborns. Curled up under her head, relieved she was not on deaths doorstep as much as he feared, and stayed.

In a semi-panic ever since he awoke this morning and felt a very serious and urgent air about the den but could never quite put his finger on what. Instincts were a little whoozy and he stuck close to his mother all day until eventually the cause revealed itself and his mother went into labor.

Was honestly a little scared, clung to his sisters and watched with wide eyes until his mother was screaming and despite his father being extremely calm and collected, couldn't help but crawl towards her and hide his face in her neck in a mixture of his own form of reassurance for both himself and for her, and out of mild panic.

Stayed like that for the duration, occasionally peering around for his families reaction but growing more concerned at the weakness it was putting his mother into. When she passed out however became distraught when his father couldn't rouse her, felt adamant she was going to die on him. Cried soundlessly and pressed up against her face begging her silently to wake up.

Curled up under her neck pressed against her chest and cried until he felt weak, did not even respond when Tsahbi came by, and did not move for the entire night.

- Spotted Gyors, shot over to make sure the pup was ok but wasn't very impressed at his attempts to cuddle up to him. Recalled not a few weeks back the pup wouldn't even let him or any of his family look at him from a distance without shying behind that tree but allowing others close. Sam has no patience for shy characters.
- Said a polite goodbye and went back to what he was doing, declaring the pup fickle.

Sat around with momma at Rin’s until Rom came by, shot up after a while to greet him, papped at his legs good naturedly and curled himself around the other despite his mothers disapproving glances. However became painfully aware he was being used as a shield when Rin started circling. Tried to act like he did not notice or care but the moment Lilu called him over, ran to her side.

Rin then chased the wolfman away, much to Sam’s quite sad staring. More sitting around with mom until he noticed that Goro was slipping off into the distance. Quietly got up and tried to alert the adults, before scuttling off after him and catching up with the toddler in the ruins. Noticed his baby bunny. Wanted it. Goro didn’t seem to want to part which was fair enough not gunna fight you for it ahaha.

Followed the littler male with the intention of herding him back to his parents, when actually just followed him around to make sure nothing bad happened. Met up with Indigo at the ruins who entertained the pair until Rin came to pick up her wayward offspring, oh shiz son we’ve been rumbled. He did it.

Lilu was watching in the distance, so moved to her to make sure he was still chill before scuttling halfway back to wave goodnaturedly at Indi, before trooping back to the den. More sitting in which Sam was catching up on some serious Z’s before Goro had gone again. This time followed a faint scent trail but mostly pretty sure he knew where the other was going to be and he was correct.

Watched Indi invite the other into the pit in the ruins, headtilted a few times and crept towards the edge to have a closer look when Rin appeared again for her son. Remained stood on a wall beside the birdcreature as Goro and his mother hauled off (without him, much to the small grumpies distaste).

Decided to wait until his mother called him, and cuddled up next to Indi at his usual spot. Promptly fell asleep faceplanting his back.

Awoke in a hideyhole he'd made just big enough to lay flat in beside a rock near Rin's den as it was nearer than the badgerden. Joined his mother at Rins den and after a while, asked her if he could tell her anything.

Once she responded positively, told her about the lynx female he had been seeing in his head when he slept, that she was sad and needed setting free. She was starting to plauge him and his inability to do anything to help her was setting him on edge.

Thankfully using powers Sam did not yet understand, his mother was able to locate Lebannen in a form of purgatory and release her, but once she was freed and his mother returned to him at Rins den from her astral projection, was deeply dishearted to find out that although she had been freed, she wasn't here with them.

Was under the illusion that Lebannen had been a figment of his imagination that he'd willed to life, an imaginary friend of sorts, and thus he laid some sort of claim upon her that since he had made her, she should be here to be his friend and for him to share his woes with.

Lilu tried to stay positive, perhaps Leb was in the forest afterall. Made a point to have a look around as well as ask his mother about that certain skill and if he could learn to do it too, important for later. For now content to have her back (a comatose mom is not a fun mom) and snuggled up with until she fell asleep.

Then the Romulus came and awoke the Mirai, many angry glares and squabbling between them. Didn't know what to do, so just pressed his side flush against the rock and watched with wide eyes. Rom was still an ubercool being in his eyes but then again, the doe had done nothing wrong? She was not someone he cared for but neither did he have a bad word against.

Did nothing, thought it was best not to get involved when the squabbling because physical and the two ran off, exchanging blows into the distance. Screeched for a wandering Boaz to go back where they came from lest the little creature got hurt. Perhaps it was because he was taking his big brother role very seriously after his conversation with Lilu.

Shot down the den hole though not quite sure if he was allowed, noone was here to stop him. Hunkered down ontop of Rin's children and tried to equally hide them beneathe him. Not sure what would happen if Romulus came and dug them up, would he spare the badger cub and kill the two? Would he kill them all? Would he do naught but carry one or more off?

Sam did nothing but wait and see.

Apparently 'Dealing with your problems' means 'Avoiding the shit out of them', probably something he picked up from his father TBH. After waking in a crusty-faced heap in the den, investigated a gyors near to Rin's den where the rest of his family was situated.

His mother tried to greet him but he brushed her off repeatedly, far more interested in Unathi the unicorn's appearance and the way she tussled against Wisteria, apparently with the intent to kill. Awww but look she pink too!! Wandered into a Romulus a few times, especially when he came closer to inspect the family and Rin's newborns. Shadowed him around for a few moments.

Tried to lure the borzoi pup into his family and then ditch them all. Found his way into a large group with Umay (Hella), Reed (Hella), Ronra (Idk) and Ross (ew). Reed tried to introduce him to X and Va's litter (JACKLAUGHINGHERE) but he just ugh'd and walked off cus BABIES MAN EW.

Found again by Romulus, 'conversed' in a manner of speaking and meaningful stares about his predicament. Rom at first almost coerced Sam into being eaten, since death was nothing permanent, he'd fizzle up like Rin and come back (or so he thought). For all intents and purposes Sam would have gone along with it and willingly allowed it for the sake of finding out more about dying, if not for the horror and agony stretched on the face of the large prey animals his father brought home.

Death may not be permanent but the pain of dying seemed something he'd want to avoid, made a lot of connections in his head while tugging at Rom's leg fluff. Somewhat told him about his feelings of being abandoned, and that his mother was too expecting. Then the wolfbeast had a great idea and mentioned Sam should simply eat one (or more) of his new sibling(s).

Stared with glossy eyes as he tried to understand the notion, he knew for a fact if Mom and Dad wanted the litter then they would be mad if he killed one, but if they didn't know it was him they'd be really sad but get over it.

But didn't want to hurt them either? He still loved his family and by getting the new babies out the way they would be so upset and cry many. Ugh many confusing.

Froze as he saw his mother watching him from a distance, and hesitantly stepped towards her before turning back a moment. Mentioned to Rom if he did bring the babies to him, if he'd eat them so no one could tell what he'd done. The wolfman accepted, and Sam skittered to join Lilu.

His mother asked what was wrong, Sam had been off all night and all this day, tried to lie that there was nothing wrong but she quickly cracked him like an overboiled egg.

Lilu then explained that she had to look after Rin's children because they couldn't have her all the time like Sam and Rue had their mom. And even though he didn't love his incoming siblings, the babies would still need him to look for them so eventually they could do the same for him. Felt a tiny swell of pride. Dammit mom you're making it hard for me to decide to feed them to the wolfman you know. Sighed heavily and stared down at his paws in silence.

Was asked if he would share, just for a while, and agreed halfheartedly but defeated. Asked if any might look like him, since he was painfully aware all of his friends had long faces unlike him (and his dad). Even though Rin's were flatfaces like him, he didn't regard them as his friends as of yet.

Feeling a little warmer about what had been said, followed his dam back to the den and curled up at her side, mulling things over.

Wandered around in grump mode, spied on Alice and her children and took a slight comfort from Nimh coming over to join him. Was also sat with by some weird dogwolf thing which he took interest in, but who left him as quickly as Nimh fell asleep.

Moved around often, stared at Zaf and her babies but grew even angrier when her babies were useless infants. UGH's as it reminded him too much of why he was mad in the first place. Stormed off and for some reason decided to pester Kody. Thankfully the large wolf accepted his presence and Sam settled down with him.

Awoke and followed the smell of his mom to Rin's den, soon joined by the rest of his family and many others. Was greatly interested in the on-goings, particularly Maekrix as he wanted to be his friend even if the dragonling didn't want. Came back to the den but was ushered away by his mother to be with his father instead, and all of the cubs piled over there for a while when Lilu disappeared into the den.

Strained with his siblings to hear noises of the birth, and after a long time his mother emerged and all of the badger cubs moved to greet her and barrage her with questions. Was told the babies were both boys, and both healthy looking. Sam wasn't too thrilled because he honestly didn't really care, even though his sisters were beside themselves with the idea of squishy newborns, which to Sam were kinda useless until they could walk and talk.

Settled down in a heap with mom and the two girls until Wist asked about Lilu's fawns. Wis don't be dumb ahah we're her fawns. Wait... what? Was told that he was going to be a big brother and after a few minutes of running this through his mind a few times, could only come to the horrid realisation he was being dumped for a newer, fresher, squidgy/cute model.

Stood up really slowly and let out a deafening scream of anguish and fury, before storming off to the badger den and throwing himself down it. Wis followed and asked him what was wrong, but from all the stress that he was going through this just kicked him on his ass so he snapped and told Wis to go away, refused to answer her until she made a dig at him being a baby and he released his torrent.

They wouldn't love him anymore, Daddy and Mom would be all caught up with one or two even squidgy cuteness babies and Sam would be forgotten, which for a cub who spent almost 80% of his time alone with their mother was quite a shock and blow. Wis was less than kind with her words, and Sam even more so. At somepoint Rue arrived and joined in, adamant that Sam was wrong.

When his parents arrived though Sam sank as far into the den as possible so he could not hear Lilu call him a disappointment. It only added logs to his fire and all the ink rushing out of him made it hard to speak when he finally climbed out the hole to scream at her instead. All girls cared about were babies, Lilu cared more about Rin's babies than she did about him anyway. Tried to ignore his sisters hurtful comments until Lilu asked if Sam really intended to hurt her as much as he was doing.

Felt a terrible injustice from it all, he didn't want to be a second fiddle to some stupid puppies, he didn't want to be a big brother at all. Hung his head and didn't know what to say until Lilu finally came down to his level and hugged the whimpering cub. Soothed him a little and Sam collapsed into further sobbing until he was carried back to Rin's den.

Watched his sisters cuddle each other for comfort, watched Lilu disappear back down the hole after washing his face. Sat alone staring into the distance, before catching the smell of someone he thought had gone missing, so got up and followed it.

Collapsed on the back of Shahla in a snotty heap, subtly checked that she wasn't fat all over because i swear if you have babies too I will commit

Cuddled up with the tigress, unsure what to think about anything, still feeling horrendously betrayed by his family but not thinking of any way he could fix it without lying that everything was perfectly fine. Came to the solid conclusion that he disliked newborns and how everyone acted around them, and wanted nothing to do with any of them until they could hold their own.

Was crawling all over mom and chewing and pestering and declaring his love when an Isa and Jhorla shot past. Got up and followed them to the ruins while Isiel mooed frantically for them, causing Sam to hang back in confusion? Uhhh ok?

Watched as the pair shot off, at first wiggled his tailless rump and tried to follow intending to play with the other children but was actually vastly more interested in Isiel herself, said hello and mostly lingered around behind her as she scolded her two runaways. Then Lilu came looking for him so he went to her and rejoined with cuddles.

Ram appeared, Sammael was all OOOO LOOKIT and then idk they poked a squirrel for a while cus Lilu knows exactly what distracts Sam from getting mushed. Saw a Potato with Alice and Nimh, was going to say hello when he saw Verve heading to Ram's family with a Neela in tow. AA YES LOOKIT SHE SO TALLLLL. Bounded up to the pair, got many greets. Played with them both, went and retrieved the potato so she could play too AWWWW YEEES.

Then Rossamund came, and Momma knows hes a bad stag and Sam knows hes a bad stag and general heebygeebies. Hid under his dam, and when playing gave the myling a wide berth. Was a little upset when Ram's family moved off and she couldn't investigate the two children anymore, was slightly curious as to why Isa was there, wasn't she a dragon-child? But he'd only seen her with Halla once before, having not got a good look at them when they were newborn since he was so young himself.

Settled down with Momma, plucking at his own feathery butt now his tail was coming in to a decent length. After Mom left though, settled with Alice and three others until he too fell asleep in contentment for the day.

Awoke from a strange dream, having spent a few nights dreaming of a dark, empty place where he could practice his own form of summoning and it felt much easier than his constant attempts in the physical realm. Came across a bizarre sight, a lynx female in chains. She seemed desperate for his companionship but Sammael was nothing but in shock and awe. Panicked and ran off, tried to focus on creating more daffodils but couldn't get the image out of his head even long after he awoke.

Trailed off to find mom kind of lazily, still thinking about what he saw and replaying it over and over in his mind. Followed her to the idol when he was joined by the entirety of his family, reacquainted with cuddles and headboops before they all (SPENT AN HOUR GETTING RUES SET) piled into the den.

I missed so many updates cus I'm lazy.
Basically smoochies on Tsa and trying to be nice to Jyoti previously.

Today woke in the den snuggled up to mom. Greeted the surrounding familiar faces before bounding off to explore. Met a shrike deer with interesting antlers, wanted muchly. Played with him, and their mini counterpart, before skittering back to Mom for regular breaks and to nip at her legs with his bum wiggling affectionately.

Got a bit of a feeling like something was wrong, something he was supposed to be doing? Glanced around before sniffing about and shooting off after the smell of the little Borzoi pup. It looked very sickly, and not much like playing. Pleased he lead his Momma to it, she'd know what to do. Hunkered down beside Gyors to keep him warm.

Woke up beside his Momma and stretched himself all over a few times, before sneaking off. Followed the smell of DELICIOUS NOMS to a sleeping Gabriel and his giant hare food, papped the sleeping cat a few times before helping himself to nibbles, and was secretly very relieved that the male woke but didn't mind and allowed the fat badger to do as he pleased.

Momma met him too, before they both got distracted by a small fawn (Morven?) who was the most bizarre little creature Sam had ever seen, he only sniffed and stared and did nothing else, even as Sam tried to get him to play or even to give a slight fearful reaction perhaps? Don't tell mam. But No, nothing.

Boring. Turned around to bound back to Gabriel when the bad lady (Halla) appeared. Stopped in his tracks and stared with the bristling upon his back, and turned to look at Lilu for her reaction. Worried for the cat, but they seemed to be fine, so Sam returned to playing and running with Momma after hunting himself a spider.

Ate a lot of berries in the berry bowl, and got all blue from running around and through them and flinging himself about. Then settled down to rest and eat more berries. Shahla came then, so Sam took the opportunity to snuggle close at her side and ask her a question that had been plaguing him since talking to Tsabhi;

Where was daddy tiger?

Given a confusing response, that there was no father tiger. Asked if it was because the father tiger had gone away and not come back for whatever reason, but no. Father tiger did not exist, there was only mother tiger and another. Asked if it was Kio? And she said "Not by blood".

What does that mean? Not by blood??? It confused him but decided to ask Momma about it later, didn't want to make Shahla cry as he had slight suspicions it might do (reactions based off Tsabhi). Wondered why the children didn't have green on them like Kio's fabulous green, but instead got distracted by Jyoti.

Pulled and mouthed at his ear, but the other larger male refused to play especially when Sam got rough with him and started biting and yanking. The fire tiger stood, and Sam dangled from his ear with mock growling and wiggling because he too could lock his jaw. Then Jyoti rolled on him to squish him and the surprise made Sam squeal dramatically.

Flailed over to mother with big crocodile tears that he'd been hurt, attempted to lie that he had done nothing to incur the other males wrath but his dam soon weaseled it out of him that it was retaliation for pulling (Sam neglected to say biting or yanking) on his ear. Lay with her enjoying the grooming he got for pretending to be hurt.

Got distracted from the act at the arrival of Circe, and tried to get her to play with him but she didn't seem up to it either. Whatever, went to sleep on his mothers sleeping body wedged between her and Shah.

Woke up in the den alone, but after a while was joined by mom. Went looking for Wisteria and found her with the little borzoi pup. Greeted muchly and Mother must have followed, piled up together. Wis then went on a wander and although Sam went looking for her, couldn't locate her and so gave up and returned to Mom.

Then Wis came back with Nimh and cuddling happened. Include me pls. But then after a short nap (I wasnt asleep I sware) woke up to see Wisteria and the Puppy playing with Rossamund. Knew him as violent and prone to fighting, and knew that Mother didn't like him. Refused all greets and coaxing, and tried to steer Wis away but once again she didn't listen to him.

Annoyed that she didn't just listen always had to ask questions or boss other people around. Was getting rather fed up with it and butted her roughly before skulking back to mom (after congratulating the puppy on its choice to stay with them).

Wandered after the smell of his family to find Momma, and then was lead to Rue and Wis annoying a small fawn. Watched in disapproval as they continued after it and decided to take matters into his own paws. Wandered up to Wis and yanked on her ear to voice his disapproval, but as she started bossing him about set off a more intense form of anger and started headbutting her rather roughly as she did not listen and continued to boss him around. You're not better than everyone Wis stop.

Eventually it spiraled into a fight, and in usual badger fashion got a little blinded by the rage and tried to seriously hurt his sister-figure until his mother had to literally pull him from her. Struggled and growled, even headbutted Lilu on the leg in anger, before he was lifted up by his scruff, spitting and dribbling ink that had become activated as he was stressed (and now that they were a little more developed than the kitten episode).

Eventually calmed down when Momma squeezed him a little tighter when he spt at Wis. Settled for a few moments before making a 'fair enough' kind of squeak. Was set down and flopped over onto his stomach and lay out like a really unattractive rug. Apologized to them both for being so angry, but hasn't yet got a good enough hold on his anger or when and where to use it. Was forgiven quickly and for that he was greatful.

A silent reflection on today before he noticed MOOSE. OMG MOOSE. shot up after the moose but scared its puppy companion. Felt bad but what do? But Moose!!! So went back to Moose and cuddled and pretty much blanked the puppy 'cause he didn't know what to do with shybutts other than ignore them and let them come at their own time. Lead Momma and Wis over, then all the meet and greets.

But Puppy wouldn't stop being shy and vibrating? Stop that I want to play. Might have been his angry emotions lingering but was very unimpressed with the little 'zoi. Coaxed Mom and Wis into a romp (though the latter was rather tired at this point) before eventually even coaxing the pup into it. After a good romp, settled down and absorbed the little thing into the cuddlepuddle. Accepted now.

Was sleeping next to Momma when Tsabhi arrived again excitedly. Greeted her with the same enthusiasm and she encouraged him to smotherhug despite his sheepish glances at his mother in case she didn't approve. Cuddled the little tiger cub fiercely.

Spoke a little about their families, they both were very fond of their sisters (though Sam had no brothers to complain about) and was very very tempted to ask why her face was different from their mothers, since it must mean their father had a cat face? And where was he anyway? But knew that might make her upset again and he hated to see her cry.

Played a little game of face papping before getting the idea to mimic something he'd seen his father do and started showering the females muzzle in comical noisy 'kisses' (it was actually a playful affectionate noisy action Meao did to Lilu to overemphasize the action). Since he had no real idea of actual kisses or the significance of them (since mom and dads real kissing was usually done after he'd gone to sleep yo).

She enjoyed it, and he felt proud of himself, elected for it to become their special thing, a sort of secret handshake. That made him feel really warm and fuzzy inside and out, settled down ontop of her still like a burger bun and slept, keeping her warm like a blanket.

Joined momma in a cuddlepuddle with Kio and one of Shahlas babies. I can't tell the difference between you all still I'm sorry 8I Then Shahla came and then so did Tsabhi. Lots of sitting around and then Momma fell asleep.

Invesigated the Tsabhi again, immediately taken in by her warm feeling and followed her around, some romping (interval with rubbing on Shah which I presume Jyoti tried to stop so Sam gave quite a nasty little growl for his size, but nothing came of it). Greeted all of the children people puddling all over Tsa 'cus momma said stop smothering BUT I CANT HELP IT SHES SO LITTLE AND CUTE 8C

After a while of sitting in silence, became concerned about the felines eye or lack thereof. Nosed it repeatedly and murmured in questioning, to which she explained her cause and promptly started to cry.

Hated to have made her upset, so rubbed her face with his all over and rested their foreheads together while he spoke for what must have been the second time in his life and asked if there was anything he could do, and then that his own father Meao had mismatching eyes but Dad called it a feature piece so that was her feature piece and it made her special and lovely.

Especially as Sam had no concept of ugliness he was concerned that she needed her peeper and could she cope alright without it? Felt it was wise not to ask but the feeling that he should do something for her never really went away, had a feeling he knew who it was who had taken it, but certainly didn't know that he kept it let alone how to get it back.

Maybe he would ask mother tomorrow, she would know. Gave Tsabhi some more face rubs before departing to the badgerden.

I missed the update where he snuck away from his mom after his sheepfriend left to wander and ended up bothering Malikorin, who was far too polite and probably bemused than he should have been ahah.

But then mom came and got him and gave the glare so Sam gave the mega pouts and had his first real sulk, because he couldn't think of a lie worth telling.

Uhhh ok more sneaking away, this time only had to avoid mother since Meao had already wandered off to collect a sow he owed. Skittered around greeting apparently a lot of giant stags, Takato first, then a few Jack was too lazy to go find on the map. Settled down in a flower patch for a moment and was soon joined by a familiar sheep, whom he gave many affections to and curled all over.

Then Envy cometh, and he greeted the sleeping dog and then back to sheep love, but after a while they were boring and also asleep. What is it with everyone being so tired? Skittered off and then a large moose male cometh.

Befriended him by whatever concept Sammael had of it, until they were having a lovely picnic together and Envy came and found them and the moose flipped out. Instantly chose the more familiar to back, and darted to Envies side and barked in alarm at the moose stop pls frien.

But he left. Envy you spider eating menace you scared off my friend.

Snuck away from a very exhausted mom and dad, they looked all roughed up. Too much playfighting? Dad hardly even woke up to his morning face papping. Rude.

Ventured around, saying hello to literally anyone who looked him in the face. Then he met an Indigo and SNUGGLES, but he didnt like that, blew rasberries, but he didnt like that either. Content to sit and smile warmly at the phoenix who was promptly waiting for meao to appear and eat him.

But then shot off on his own accord back to the den 'Nuh-uh I never left I swear' face on. But afte rmore lazing around wandered off again, this time bumped into a Shahla in new fur! But he could still smell her under all that weird outfit, and curled up at her side and under her a few times while burbling and chewing at her affectionately.

Awoke alone in the den, a lot of lip smackin and rolling-around-in-my-hole ensued before climbing out and surveying the day. Wisteria dropped by and they greeted, before she coaxed him off in his first ever parent-less adventure. Together they romped all across the birches and towards the playground until Envy came by.

Smothered him with hugs, Wis approving so many approvings all the approved 100% approved homunculus NOTHING WILL GO WRONG EVER. Then a lot of sitting and attempting to groom but I think its probably official Sam sucks at grooming. Slept a little more before wandering off on his own adventure. Inspected a sleeping Ramsus, some logs, some trees, a flower patch and finally inspected Devasha though she seemed to be ignorant of him.

Then Envy came over again (probably cus Jack afk'd and left Sam parked next to a stranger well done) and more cuddlepuddle with him. Then got super sleepy and wandered all the way home alone, rolling down his little hole and curling up to sleep.

Woke up at the den to find his parents gone but an Envy HI ENVY. Licked his head before curling back up in his warm nest and waiting. Daddy came first and sat on him, grooming ensued but Sam not so great at that, too much fur and too small of a tongue for him. Then mom came and she and dad did a lot of smoochies. Envy left then, although he was smart enough to cotton on to why, didn't see why it bothered him (since Sam had witnessed it essentially all his life, those Dad always practically ate Moms face when he came back from hunting) .

Standing and sitting around ensued, before Dad got up noticing a big commotion on the edge of their 'property'. Followed him but got dragged back to Mom and told to stay, then he went and investigated while the little badger watched. Later took his chance when Meao went to sleep to creep over to Envy and rub on him like a dumb cat. Greeted Helios too, and squirmed right into the middle of the group before Lilu called him back suddenly and he oh so obediently ran straight to her.

Didnt understand her cause for concern, but trusted her judgement undoubtedly even if he didnt fully understand. THEN WISTERIA COMETH and he yipyip'd and dived all over her and happy noises ensued. After a moment or three orientation;

Ok time for actual updates. Woke up at the den and went to find momma, she seemed to be in a group of sleepy butts and after a quick orientation in which he greeted everyone with a sniff, sat down with her. Met the lil guy Envy and his big nameless friend, Shahla and one of her children, and Kio.

Whined for honey omg honey pls. Lilu went looking for beehives for him and he watched in excitement with Envy in tow as she knocked a hive down. CAREFUL MOM THATS WHERE BEES LIVE. Excitedly gorged himself on the fallen hive despite being stung all over his face, ate the honey, the bees, the larvae and the beeswax he didnt care he was taking bites of this stuff aw yis AW YIS.

Excited sat with mom to sleep off the meal covered in sticky sticky honey. Viktor and Solene dropped by and he greeted them both with his sticky self and cuddled though Mom told him to stop smothering people ITS NOT SMOTHERING IF THEY'RE BIGGER THAN I AM.

Left the forest on the 1st with Daddy on some 'male bonding' (yeah dad ignore my evident double gender). Tended to be carried for most the distance before took up walking. Got in touch with some of the more feral sides of him and his father and had a go at hunting. Turns out he is goddamn awful and even with his 7 teeth he can't supply the killing bite to any animal, even rodents or chicks.

Taught to swim, was really awkward and pokey but now probably wont drown when he rolls into the river or pond. Taught to climb, though coming down is terribly problematic. Taught the taste of honey, adores it and will probably do anything for it right now its GLORIOUS. Tried to help dad raid an ant mound but too many bites on my thin skinned face no pls no.

Two weeks essentially full of muscle toning, eating and listening to dad talk. He was trying to impart a lot of knowledge on him which only some of it stuck, but then he started getting emotional about momma and trying to teach his five year old about the permenancy of love.

Returned on the 17th and curled up to sleep off the long journey in the den.

Awoke at the den to a bit of a commotion. Hello Rin, Hello Solene. Hello strange flirty male?/ Daddy doesn't like you. Neither does Wisteria. Wasn't sure why. Then Ractera came and made Daddy nervous and angry and Sam got scooped between his paws a lot and wasn't allowed to say hello, but Mommy was just all of the side-eyeing.

Then the demoness left, and Sam was free to bound around mostly following Wis about. The strange flirty male (Adestria) was still there so he cuddled his legs and rubbed on him lovingly. But then Wis told Sam to bite him, didn't really understand but after being commanded again, chomped down on Adestria's leg with his 5 teeth and a harsh badgery growl.

Falling from rocks hurt because his body said that it should hurt and the floor meant harm??? Halla meant harm when she kicked him, and because she meant it, it hurt. Wis hurt when she bit him, because she wanted him to feel the hurt.

Strange. STRANNNGE. Wandered back to the den and Wis proposed a trade of his fur for her tail feathers. Did not understand fully and agreed in naivety. She ripped a chunk of his chest fluff out, and he was too busy scream/yelping and crying as she ripped her tail feathers out for an even trade.

Hurt is a very very confusing thing, Wis did not mean to hurt him that time but he felt it anyway and it was scorching and unpleasant and it didn't go away. Crawled under Lilu crying his little heart out for her soothing and took a long time to emerge.

Had left the forest with his parents and sister and worryingly, without Wisteria. Witnessed his father hunting large game and feasted on it BECOMING THE SUPREME FAT BEING. Taught a little more about death and its uses at that point, a little less phased, a little more smart.

Slept pretty much since then, with periods of activity between them but nothing of note. Was resting out at the den today when Wisteria shot off, after a while lead mom on a hunt for her and once found, she called him a fool. Listen OK just because I'm mute doesn't mean I don't have feelings. Or ears.

Bit her. Was nipped back, nipped her back in turn and started getting fluffy angry badgerfight mode when she apologized. Mom made a note of it, that he shouldn't bite if he wasn't expecting to be bitten in return but wasn't sure how else to express his dislike in her comment. Chewed Lilu's leg in frustration but she didn't seem to mind.

AND I DID IT AGAIN WOW.
All I remember is the part he tried to climb the rocks at the playground and Mommy fell off the sloping one, although she was fine Sam tried to follow her and dive onto her back but Lilu had already started walking. Fell in slow motion and hit the ground with a sharp thud.
Panicked look at mom, before eruption of pain and started to wail his head off. Luckily his fat protected his fragile baby bones and nothing was broken, just bruised. Cried while being carried back to dad by mom. Cried continuously for what must have been hours afterwards, long after the pain had died down. Crying for the sake of crying really.

Man I went to bed last night without updating and now I don't even remember any thing.

- Wandered to the hill and saw an alive Rin. Wtf. So apparently being a bloodied prey and fizzling away must be like a revival thing? Because herru you're back. Does everyone do that?
- Halla and co appear. All the adults get angry and fidgety, babies aren't allowed off the hill which is cool with Sam cus he was still sulking about almost being KICKED TO DEATHHHH!1!!
- Eventually got over it enough to go play in the berry field bowl.

- Then something went down? Was in a cuddlepuddle at a tree by the pond but then Wis tried to run off and Rue wanted to go with her and Dad had to pick them up and drag them back. He was all kinds of mad. Sam just observed in his usual creepy silence.
- Dad told them all that just because you are playing with someones kids doesnt mean the adults wont come out of nowhere and fuck you up. 'Association' or something.
- Joined Shahla in a sunpatch with Sonali and the rest of his own family.
- There was a fight but Sam stayed where he was because HES A GOOD BOY. Met Viktor, LOVED ON HIM ALL INTENSE LIKE dog dog hello yes ilu.
- Wisteria saw that kitten and it made her angry? Sam was angry because she was angry. She wanted the kitten to go away from where it was with two adults so Sam took things into his own paws and ran at the kitten barking very loudly.

- Kitten didnt care. Sam got even angrier, trying to flag a tail he didnt even have and growl menacingly like his badgerdad just in minature. Then Wis fought the kitten and he barked encouragingly literally the most noise Sam has ever ever made.
- Huffed and rammed his face into moms chest while he unfluffed his hugely fluffy self and rattled away. His first experience with the "FUCKYOUI'MAHONEYBADGER!1!!" genes. Felt fearless and intense anger, like he could run right up to an irish elk and bite its nose off. Mom seemed to watch approvingly.
- Returned to Shahlas original spot in the sunpatch and slept.

Awoke in the den to find his family in the distance. Shot off after them and had a romp with a few fawns, Three of Shahlas, Wisteria and Rue. Met the tigress again, jinglejingle'd ecstatically before many cuddlepuddles were made, of his family and the tigress'.

Sat on a kitten because Wisteria told him to. Licked the poor things ears and head as much as possible. But then it bit his sister (and Jack came to the conclusion it was probably biting him too) and let it go, cuddling on mom in alarm. More cuddlepuddlin then when Wist and Rue left for a while and Daddy went after them, so he migrated to Shahlas pile.

Lilu joined, Sam probably made himself fatter while she was there cus Rue wasn't there to compete muahahah. But then she came back and cuddlepuddle doubled in size. Eventually though Momma left, and Dad fell asleep.

Spied on Nii and Kael. Spied on randomers. Then spied on Halla's new nestlings. Except Sam doesn't know how to spy so he was just following Wist, eating bugs and leaves. Then Indigo arrived and sort of stared at them all. Everyone had their turn saying hello to the pheonix hybrid and Sam was pretty enthralled by his legs, but then he noticed Shardul had come over all staring-like. Sorta backed away uncertainly because he had learnt to cuddle strangers to make them friends, but his instincts were saying this was very very bad.

Then Halla arrived, or more like barrelled after her own wayward fawn and confronted the three espionage-ists, Sam panicked and barked loudly in alarm for assistance from his parents, but then after an angry stomping at by the grey doe he pretty much ditched Wist and Rue and legged it back to dad.

Cried a little out of fear response. Though he wasn't hurt it was his first experience with a rather traumatic rejection.

Awoke in the den to a commotion. Met the very bouncy doe Stria but he didn't like to do the running and jumping yet, more of the face papping and play wrestling so he mainly stood still or went back to the den to nap. Mom and Dad seemed occupied with something in the distance, and they left for a while.

Came back with a sickly doe, who was hurt pretty bad. Vaguely recognized her, if not by scent, as Rin. Watched as the yokai died little more that a meter from the den, but didn't move as Bonesis, Dad and Mom conversed about it. Watched in mute surprise as her skin fizzled away to nought but bones. Interesting, the things that dad brought home that looked as she had did not erode as such. Perhaps it was a deer thing?

Noted it down, though his expression stayed flat and his voice stayed mute, was even more reserved and quiet about what he'd witnessed. Unable to ask, unable to even think coherent thoughts about what happened.

The doe had become a hunted prey, but then rotted away in minutes though no one ate from her, and he couldn't even begin to explain it to himself.

Crawled away up the hill to join the cuddlepuddle of Shahla, Sonali, Kettu, Rue and Kio, Wisteria was there for a quick romp but she shot off at somepoint, and despite his attempts to follow he could neither leave his mother's sight as was his innate fear, or voice a call to bring Wist back to him.
Whined profusely, paced back and forth and yipped anxiously but she had gone too far.

Crawled over Kettu though he didn't know the fox, hid under her fur until Daddy and Mommy came and sat up the hill. Unphased by the fact his mother is a giant rabbit, just wanted to hide away in a ball. What if other people could become like the hunted bloody and fizzle away?

A frightening concept.

Dismissed easily by the arrival of kin he didn't know he had. Met October for the first time, and despite her disgust of him and his whole concept, hugged her relentlessly especially as Dad said that she was his bigger sister. He only knew one sister. But now he had TWO!!! SISTER-HAVING DOUBLED!! Was pretty excited by this concept despite the fact she was so much bigger than him. Because Dad was loving on her he did too.

Didn't understand when Rue disliked her, mostly continued to yip-yap before returning to the family pile to sleep off a stressful day.

First bout of minor fear today, when Lilu wouldn't come on the twin idol's hill to pick him up and she mooed for him instead of coming to get him. He'd never been mooed for, and instinct was all 'RETURN TO TITTIES AND ALSO LESS DANGER THERE' and he trotted as fast as his uneven fat body would allow. Followed Mom to the ruins. Wasn't very impressed with it because w/e idc about some old rocks.

Found Wisteria in her little grave and SAT ON HER smothering with love and hello yes good. Mom sat too and then they sat for ages. Got distracted staring over at Nimh so went to sit on her and greet her in the appropriate way. So far learning that mini fawns are the best flavour of fawn for friends. His sister is small, Wis is small, Nimh is small, Shahlas babies are (mostly) small.

Though actually not by much since the beachball only just hit #14 on the chart today but i digress. Lots of cuddling. Met Alice but wasn't as interested in her as he was the other children. Learning that jumping around is also play but he wants to PAP FACES and squish with snuggles. Formed the idea that Alice was Nimh's mummy the same as Lilu was his. Maybe she had the milk for him to pinch later but he didnt care he had his own right now.

Smooshed on Wis as she is perfect replacement for his sister right now, and GUMMIED HER EARS with the suckings.


Also Genty gave him, Rue and Wisteria some bells from his hair yesterday and SAM LOVES HIS BELL. JINGLES IT SO MUCH HE LOVES SO MUCH mom hates dad probably threw it down the burrow the moment they got back to the den because he was jingle so hardcore.

ONE MILLION YEARS LATER. Updated baby book too and some 'lations.

Followed Mom from the sleepy area to a new family group? Was incredibly overwhelmed but put a brave face on it. Met everyone equally but since it was his first greeting outside of his parents or sibling, he just wagged his tail and stared in bemusement.

Mom encouraged him, and so did one of Shahla's fawns, papped their face ah yes papping good. Papping nice. Showed them his big old bark. I can woof good. Yoko was there too (accidentally hit the wrong button and screamed in her face gomen unu) and greeted her with his new favorite thing; Hugging.

Association with greeting = hugging complete for now. Even stared in curiosity over at Indigo when he approached but he didn't seem to want to be hugged? And so he just stared mutely and wagged his 'tail' at the stranger.

Continued his rounds of hugging and papping when the bird-deer left, and eventually settled down next to mom for the sleeps.

Carried around by dad a lot. 'Eating' lots of things including berries. Oh my god berries are great I need a million for the sugar buzz, but only tends to squish and drink the soupyness and spit out anything that he can't gummy into submission.

Then mommy came! yaaas! Mom bring the milk and the warm mouth for the lickings and groomings and such but she wasn't as interested in him as she was in arguing with dad.

Sleeping at the den half under daddy's thick fur. Didn't care about the on goings until his living blanket got up and walked a short distance away after the smell of mommy.

Complained loudly with a shrill whine but neither came to him. Complain more. Complain louder. Still nothing. Puppy sighing when suddenly badgerdad did return and scooped him up rather huffily. Ok get your undies out your metaphorical butt crack dad I was asleep.

Carried away down to the pond and set behind a willow tree. Was told to lay low and although he didn't quite understand his instincts told him to go all fawn-hide-mode and he did. Busy eating snowflakes that landed on his paws and face while the old man fished.

Chewed on a fish head while Meao ate the remainder, was told all about snow but didn't really care I want to eat this fish head. Dad was in a mood about something, that he could pick up on when the badger picked him up again and marched off without the fish head. Sad times.

Been sleeping a lot at the den, occasionally squirming around the outskirts. Mom keeps trying to take for walks. No pls.

Was finally coaxed into a long-ass shuffle up to the drinkplaats, the further he got the tireder/hungrier and more complainy he got, but higher the urge to be with his mommy/safety/boobs were. Complains a thousand times because he was exhausted, far from den and look woman I don't care about the magic mushroom circle. But she seemed impressed with him anyway and licked and encouraged him, before they fell asleep together interjected by him going to chew things. Ah yes chewing things. Why is it nice Sam you have no teeth.

First few days have been a constant cycle of nursing -> Sleeping -> Nursing -> Sleeping -> Pooping -> You guessed it, nursing.

Interjected when his mummy grooms him and he makes the angry cub noises, but is starting to learn no one cares about his "hey i was trying to get to the milky stop pulling me near your face" act. Daddy comes back with dead things a lot, and spends a lot of time away hunting for them all. Doesn't understand any of this just that sometimes there is a very-warm, large being who likes to roll him around in his paws, lick his face with a tongue that's rougher than momma's and talk to him.

Recognizes his voice as one that was there since before the start and that is comforting, but doesn't stop his cubby-complaints. Still pushes Rue around the den, perhaps its becoming a game to squirm under her repeatedly and burrow her around whenever hes not distracted by sleeping or mom.

Legs are getting stronger but not interested in leaving the immediate den area. Mommy is right there, food is right there, it is safe and it is warm, has no idea or memory beyond his family or this small patch of berry bushes.

Sort of met Darius? The wolfdog who had forged a bond with his father in particularly and thus saw the family as a pack, Lilu the mother and Sam the 'alphas first litter'. So he submitted to them both. Sam of course had no idea what this means and just sort of stared at the semi-blurry figure before going back to sleep.

Was born in the evening after many hours of difficulty for his mother. Was rather unconcerned by the whole ordeal though he couldnt focus on any one thing and was rather overcome by it all. Made the tiniest angriest noise for all the trouble, but was dragged to meet his sister 'on the outside'.

Recognized her and curled around her body, before mommy lay down and he tapped his instincts to locate the milk. And latched on like a fat little leech. Everything is so cold and hard and why lick me who licking me hello mother you are nice. Hello 'dad' please stop nosing me I do not want to be nosed I want to drink a million milks.

Eventually did a tiny puppy yawn and went to sleep, as far under Lilu as he could wriggle.
