An interesting dream

So I had a dream a few days ago. It's not TEF related but I wanted to share it, might make a good story one day. I wrote it down after I woke up:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

In the dream I was an African slave working in a small house. There were several others with me who worked on a coffee farm, and I was a younger slave who was in charge of moving clothes out of the house to somewhere else. The house was full of pictures of products our company made, and each picture had a little logo of the coffee bean company.

At one point, the other slaves decided that they wanted to leave and work in America. Our owner, who was a white man with a black beard, asked us to stay, and one by one the other slaves shook their heads and left.

Finally, I was the last slave left, and I honestly wanted to stay with my owner and work on his farm, but with the others who worked out in the fields left, there really wasn't much I could do. Still, I lifted the heavy clothes and started to take them out of the building. My strength gave up, and I dropped them, panting and sweating before I shook my head. I realized that money was money, and I was better off with my friends, so I followed them. (I stopped and took a pair of shorts out of the pile because I only wore a long shirt and underwear)

The dream them showed our owner, who sat at his table with his head down, realizing that all of his slaves had left. He started looking around the house, noticing all of the pictures had the company logo on them, and either realized that his investment was going to plummet, or that something had tainted the coffee beans and made the slaves want to leave.

During that last scene, the song "Holy Water" by Big & Rich was playing.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

It probably doesn't mean anything, or it could mean everything. I don't know, but it was an interesting and vivid dream that I wanted to share it.

Seems like a "it's not

Seems like a "it's not always good to follow the crowd" storyline.

I'm not sure what would be

I'm not sure what would be the next part of the story - I don't think the coffee farm was a bad place, but I think the other slaves were just fed up of the working conditions.

I really wanted to stay there if there were going to be a few of the other slaves that stayed, but when they all left, I didn't think I had a choice but to go with them.

I'm sure part of my inspiration for this dream came from Farcry 2, which takes place in Africa.

Fledermaus - I've written

Fledermaus - I've written down a good portion of mine. Unfortunately they're in one of those diary sites that a friend of mine got me on and I'd have to dig to find them. I've had some wierd ones anyway.

Mobliz - Yeah tell me about it. Again I think Farcry 2 influenced part of it. I actually had one of those night terrors last night (remember some of the crazy things I hallucinated during those?) where my mind kept telling me there was a swat team or something in our house and they were going to kill me if they found me, so....believe it or not....about two or three times last night I jumped into the little space between my bed and the wall and hid under a blanket waiting for them to burst through the door. Don't ask how or why I kept hiding but those night terrors are hard to snap out of.
