Dressed in: Ideally, the Mardi Gras pelt and antlers with the magpie mask. In-Forest, he wears the Great Argus pelt, fan antlers, and magpie mask.

Location, location, location: The birch forest and playground

Masque was born and raised as the first son of Eiche and Lily. He was a notorious troublemaker and became a bully to other fawns, especially his brother. His parents had difficulty controlling him and started to leave for long periods of time to get away from the situation. As he grew up, he started to get involved with numerous young does and often cheated on them with others, or was being cheated on by them. One doe, Chanté, became pregnant and at first he wanted nothing to do with it. Later on, he changed his mind but she was so afraid of what he might do to her or the fawn, that she left and raised it by herself. The incident sparked fury in Masque, and he became much more aggressive and sullen than before. It was enough to eventually cause his brother to run away after a violent attack, which in turn led to being disowned by his parents.

After severing all ties to everyone in his past, he spent years living on his own and wandering until he discovered the Forest. The following myriad of emotional states and ongoing events of finding close friends, losing them, regaining them, and misleading them all eventually fell apart after he realized that his health was rapidly deteriorating. The abuse of numerous substances in both lives had taken a massive toll on his morality and he spent months being painfully sick, until the point where he was close to succumbing to it when a combined effort between Isolde and Mystress was able to heal him completely, giving him a second chance at life.

Overall, Masque is an unlikeable character. He is selfish, rude, hot-tempered and mean-spirited. He has a lot of difficulty controlling himself in many ways, hardly ever forgives, and as a result he makes a lot of enemies. He's quick to hold grudges for anyone who he thinks has wronged him, even in the slightest way.

Masque has earned himself a reputation and because of things he's done, other deer tend to stay away from him or act nervously or aggressively when he's around. Seeing anyone doing this gets on his nerves and puts him in a bad mood. However, he contends that these reactions are justified and he will usually avoid these deer in the future. He insists that nobody should feel close to him or trust him at all, but he often forgoes this principle and while he doesn't believe anyone genuinely likes him, he likes to think he has friends.

In general, he tends to be rather bitter and keeps to himself. Around his friends, he is more outgoing but extremely protective and will take a defensive turn if any stags come near. Because of a big ego and even bigger insecurities, he's very sensitive to how anyone acts and takes nearly everything as an insult. It's extremely easy to piss him off or make him jealous, and he ends up in fights constantly. Another notable aspect of his personality is the numerous mood swings he has, which can change instantly and lend to his unpredictable nature.

Masque formerly rejected the idea of love and relationships after a bad history of them and vowed to never get involved with a mate again, but recently decided that he didn't want to be alone the rest of his life and is currently determined to have a successful relationship with Tuna.

With an unshaven face, narrowed brown eyes, and a nearly permanent irritable expression, he gives off a certain hostility with his appearance alone. One of his more notable features is the very light blond hair on his head that falls over his forehead and often looks quite disheveled. He stands at an average height and years of fighting have lent him a bit of muscle in his neck, chest, and legs.

- His name is derived from traditional social gatherings in 16th and 17th century Europe in which participants wore decorated costumes and masks.

- He is fighting an addiction to mushrooms; don't give him any.

- He gets along with does 100 times better than with stags.

- When he's alone and bored, he'll take long jogs around the Forest.

- Calling him by his real name will get a hoof to the face.

Massive Attack is so great, especially with Shara Nelson or Elizabeth Fraser singing; they have gorgeous voices. I like that their music is so versatile that I can listen to them in any mood.

I see Masque in the Birch quite often! Just a few minutes ago, I saw him sleeping alone in the rain. My fawn attempted to keep him comapny, but he dissapeared. But I see that in his biography he doesn't like fawns!

I think Masque interests me

I think Masque interests me the most out of your characters. I wouldn't mind having Amary meet him some more.
Not sure how my other characters would get on with him. Melinoe probably wouldn't like him, but then she kinda dislikes everyone by default. I'm certain she wouldn't take kindly to being flirted with.
And with Oisín being a fawn still...and to be a stag later on...and seeing as apparently Masque isn't fond of either...^^; So that might not work too well. |3
