gosh, you guys are so gd supportive, I really can't thank you enough. I've actually been scared to admit anything bc I haven't wanted to call any attention to myself- finding the same's true irl. feelin' kinda guilty that my family are all taking time off to see me through this

had my appointment with the neurologist early this morning and I've learned the tumor's practically a copy of the one I had 22 years ago- it's in the same spot, at least. that second 'mass' is just old tissue crowding the spot it used to be in. they'll be opening me up on the 18th if I get my way, and I'll have to stay in hospital for three days, but the surgery looks to have promising results and I'll be out and feeling somewhat better by christmas

tysm also for the private well wishes. I'd get back to them all if I could, but understandingly I've been so withdrawn about this that I haven't wanted to do much else other than binge shows and bother my cats all day. m'sure I'll come around soon, and I'll prob pop into TEF before the rest of the fam get here, but if not then I'll try to keep you all updated ♥

for anyone wondering or worrying...
Fin got through brain surgery okay, but there was a complication with the eyes causing effects like strabismus and amblyiopa. they're having trouble seeing, but it improves every day.
they won't be online for a while, but [we] wanted to let everyone know they're in recovery.

super relieved to have an update, and that things've _for the most part_ gone well. sending all the love n hoping for a quick, comfortable recovery ♥

The second surgery went fine. I'm back at home now, still in recovery, but thankfully not caught in any kind of regression as far as my eyesight and facial palsy are concerned- just a little weak, is all. There's a lot of pressure in my head that I'm trying to manage but that should go away in a few more days. I tire very easily, but every day I'm pushing myself to do a little more and that seemed to work the last time, so

I've got a new gaming laptop to play with (dw it's my own money!) so that's been a great distraction and heaps of fun- so nice to see TEF at 50fps holy heck, and to actually get to play GW2 without sacrificing my other pc. Actually I'm taking this sucker back to best buy to get the same brand, but with a better GPU, so hello TEF at 80fps

dunno why I'm updating in the comments section but idc! New computer, new refurbished brain, new chance at life.. fuckin' sweet until chemo happens
