Silvery saw the other deer
Ofcourse, silly woman. Ofcourse he recognizes you. Just look at that face! she thought to herself. Then she softly heard him say her name and it almost brought tears to her eyes. He knew.... He still knew.
'K-K-Kinsha..?' Silvery stammered, not knowing what to do next. She didn't have the slightest idea about how he felt about her now. The doe had suddenly vanished from his life and no doubt she had left him with a lot of pain.
(Listening to both Naruto's theme and Love In This Club by the Baseballs is quite interesting while typing this. XD)
A twitch of the nubby bit of
"Well if it ain't everyone's favorite fruitcake~" he muttered hoarsly, a cracking chuckle escaping his lips in spite of it all. Every word forced him to gasp, each hollow breath sounding more uncomfortable than the last.
"Been awhile since I seen ya... yew doin' okay?" he asked, tilting his head to the side, the mangled side of his face reaching upwards, though his lone working eye instantly noticed the small scars on his fur.
"Where'd those come from...?" he asked, an underlying tone of guilt lacing itself in his voice.
((Uhm... sorry. Ignore me... but I love Toukan, you see. I'm quite the fan ;; ))
Toukan couldn't help rolling
The reindeer took it in stride, though. It was good to see Jergens acting like his old self again after all that happened, after all, and the teasing always was found more amusing than anything else. Could always poke at how tiny the other deer currently was too. Who had cast that mini spell?
When they were brought to attention, Toukan glanced at the new scars - the ones he could see, anyway, since he couldn't exactly bend in a way that let him see his own neck or see the mark above his brow. The one that ran along part of his back and right side was the most noticeable.
"Ah..these. It's...not something to worry about." Not something for Jergens to worry about, anyway. Toukan had chosen to jump into that fight that time when Illrose had attacked. No one had asked or told him to.
At least he hadn't lost that much antler...yet. He'd more than likely be needing them sometime, considering recent events. Hopefully it would be after Kylar recovered, and before nature decided to be "funny" again.
Glancing at the stag, he put on a more cheerful tone. "Good to see you're recovering." He meant it, too. He'd been worried after the "final battle", but hadn't really been able to visit. That was why he'd "hired" the "ninja" to help him out before.
[[I take too long as always. 8D; ]]
Of course Jergens took
"So yeah... Whether ya like it or not. I worry... and... wait..." he snuffed the air around him, nose leading over to the reindeer's legs and underbelly as his own eyes widened in surprise.
"Whoaa... Touk!" his curly fluffed tail thumped against the ground. "I smell some stag on ya. eheh~ What have ya been gettin' into while I was gone, eh?" he chuckled, tilting his head up from between the ice stag's forelegs to give him a cheery grin.
"Can I assume? Didja get lucky? What's his name? Is he cute? Hot? Sexy? Or C, all of the above?" he pryed, completely at ease. If anything, it helped to keep his mind off the ebbing pain in his body.
"Yeah... I feel... Mhn... kinda better... I guess..." he mumbled, turning his head to look at the pus filled wounds on his belly. Still infected. Ew.
((Baw :'D I love yer rps <3))
Not the first time someone
He shrugged the best he could, being a deer. "What's a few more scars?" A poor attempt to keep the other from worrying that probably wouldn't work.
...
Ah, damn it, he hadn't thought about scent! Of course another stag's scent was clinging to him; he'd been spending practically every day with Kylar. The bull's face turned red, slowly getting a bit darker as Jergens fired into a round of "20 questions". He was so not going to answer most of those! ...though he would've said "C".
Toukan had to say something, though, so... "Assumptions aren't always right." A pause. "But you probably don't know him." He may regret saying that.
He didn't fail to see Jergens looking at his wounds. He frowned in thought. "Mint is supposed to be good at fighting bacteria. Might help a bit..." There was some growing along the dip of ground next to the pond even. He could see it from here even.
[[I think Toukan would want to smack Jergens if he wasn't injured. XD]]
"True..." he nodded sadly,
Still, that didn't stop the tiny stag from exhaling a rather loud wolf whistle of delight. "God Touk~ Didn't believe it at first... I always thought yew would be a closet dweller fer the rest of yer life, y'know?" he cooed, happily nuzzling the backs of his legs. "Great, ain't it? Man, I bet he's a swell guy. Better be. Damn, I'm so goddamn happy fer ya!" he exclaimed, hazel eyes twinkling with unsuppressed joy for him.
All that talk about mint or some bullshit like that completely went over his head. He just ignored the reindeer's statement entirely.
"C'monnnn... Tell me bout' him. Gush at me, I don't mind. Hell, I bragged to everyone I knew when I finally got together with Rosie~" he smiled at the mention of his own partner, thoughts drifting off a bit.
((He reminds me of an overexcited high school girl that's unusually macho x3 Hurp... it's entirely out of goodwill. Poor Touk indeed... xD))
That wasn't quite the
"Gush"?
That wasn't something he was sure he could do. He wasn't really the best at expressing himself with words when it came to this kind of thing. Heck, when he had admitted his feelings to Kylar, it hadn't even been with words.
"I'm not really sure what to say..."
[[XD! Nice description. You made me remember that drawing of Jergens in a dress. WHERE'S A BRAIN SCRUBBER?
And I really don't know what he would talk about/say. He's almost as awkward as me in this area actually. 8D;]]
"Not sure?" he frowned a
"Well... how serious are yew guys? Ya know yet? Too early?" he cocked his head to the side in questioning, wincing as he felt a small dizzy spell force him to slink back to the ground.
"Think ya might have kids? Y'know I have a daughter, right? Hnn... Or didja guys just hit it off from some blind date? Hmhm... who knows..." he mused, completely unaware of how confusing his statement actually was. After all, stags normally didn't have fawns.
Still, he craned his neck up to look at the stag before him, happy smile never once leaving his lips.
"Guess it's too early then... huh?"
((Ahhh.... I remember that... sweet memories :'3 Pffft... lawl xD))
Kids?! The thought of that
"We've only really been together for about a week." He paused, lowering himself to the ground as well, feeling awkward talking to someone while looking down at them. He still somewhat had to thanks to the mini spell, but at least not so much from this position. Toukan blushed again when he spoke next, feeling awkward talking to someone else about this. "We do love each other, though." Despite the blush, he definitely had the start of a smile forming.
"Whoa, that's it?" he blinked
"Hmmm..." he let his eyelid flutter a bit in response, obviously pleased with this remark. "Some people don't really deserve it, y'know? But they do... yew, on the other hand..." the smaller scarlet stag carned his neck over to press the side of his face to Toukan's lower neck.
"Yer the kinda guy that'll really do good from it... a bit of a pick-me-up... mhm~"
((Annnd off to bed I go~))
'Ya never know.' Well, that
He blinked. "A 'pick-me-up'?" He wasn't sure what was meant by that. He also wasn't sure what to make of the red stag's actions.
...
It was still odd how Jergens was a mini-deer. He wondered how long he was planning to stay like that.
[[I drew a blank for awhile on how to respond. And then I still drew a blank while typing. |D

"Kinda like a cupa' coffee to wake ya up, right?" he tried to explain, completely unaware of the fact that the arctic stag would probably have no idea on what he was talking about.
((S'alright. I just don't want to bore you ;; hurrr and GOOD NIGHT AGAIN LAWL))
[[He knows what coffee is
The bull's head tilted. "I don't drink coffee..." But maybe Toukan should; he did sleep a lot after all. ...though that was more because he liked to than being tired. ...oh, whatever. He wasn't even sure how it compared to this. With a thoughtful frown, he asked, "But how exactly does a caffeine high compare to being in love?"

*wipes dust off blog* Oisín
Oisín slowly made his way to the crying idol, sighing as he sat down next to it. His head plopped down, resting on his outstretched legs, and he turned it a little to watched the water flowing from the idol's eyes. He couldn't help but think about the story his father had told him about his first mate, and wondered how he had managed to get through it. How long had it been since he had last seen Celeste, anyway? About two months? It only got more difficult as time went on without even a word, and Oisín didn't know what to do. He could use someone to talk to.
[[I hope you meant for me to

The young orange buck,Phobos walked quietly through the warm first wood of the forest. His head was absent mindedly bent down so that he was watching his hoofs. He often did this when relaxed or troubled. But today, despite all the drama recently,he was feeling ok.
A familiar scent wafted into his nostrils and he shot his head up.
There he spotted the gray stag with the impressive rack.ToukanHe recalled. He had seen this stag often, even interacted with him briefly, and he felt a genuine respect towards Toukan.

And with that,Phobos approched Toukan and presented himself with a full bow.
[[That mask and those antlers
I also used a darker color for the drawing since Toukan's speech color is too light against white for some people to see.]]
He'd been starting to doze off as he tended to do when nothing was going on - plus he just liked sleeping - but the sound of approaching hoof-steps caught his attention. Toukan blinked the sleep out of his eyes and turned his head to see an orange stag bowing to him. Phobos, he recalled from the few times they'd met.
Carefully, the reindeer got to his hooves to return the bow, the actions a little slowed due to his leg.
((I didn't even think about
Oisin lifted his head at the sound of approaching hooves. He blinked, a little surprised as he recognized who they belonged to. He didn't see his grandfather often, but he had a lot of respect for the older stag. "Grandfather?" Oisín stood and bowed, even smiling a little, though it was half-hearted. "It has been a long time."
((I am sorry for the fail response x.x; ))

And your response is fine. Can't guarantee the same for mine, though. ^^;]]
Radeon bowed as well, though not fully; it was getting difficult to do a full bow these days. "It's good to see you, Oisín. How have you been?" He'd noticed how his grandson's smile had seemed a bit forced. This concerned him a bit, but he wouldn't force the younger stag to talk about if he didn't wish to.
((Oh well, Oisin won't mind
Oisin gave a sigh in response. "I wish I could say I am well, but that would not be entirely truthful." He would have continued, but did Radeon even know about Celeste or about what had happened? It was possible he had heard, maybe Scape had told him, or even the dragonflies. Then again, he wasn't even sure if his father knew about Celeste's disappearance. "I do not know if you have heard anything..."

"Really? I had not known that. I might try talking to them, if I can find them." Oisín sighed, laying his head down again. "I suppose there really isn't much I can do, anyway. Or...perhaps I could look for her..." He looked thoughtful for a moment, and then sighed again. "But I do not know how to leave the forest, and without any clues...there is no way to know where to start. It would not do any good for me to get myself lost. I...suppose now I could simply use some support."
"The world outside this
He nodded. "But yes, speaking with those two wouldn't be a bad idea. Spade shouldn't be too hard to find. There's a certain stump not far from the poppy patches that he likes to practice sparring on. Kinsha, though...might be a little more tricky to find." He chuckled at the thought of his nephew's attempts at being a "ninja". "And of course you should talk to Scape."
"Mm...I will do that, then."
((eh, I wish I could add more, but I don't know what else I can do here. ^^; ))

Quad was wandering near the
This intrigued Quad at once, who approached cautiously. He didn't want to be attacked by this other deer, but...he did want to learn fighting techniques.
"Umm...hello there...", he spoke hesitantly.
Crack! The stag's ram-like
The stag's ram-like antlers slammed into the stump again. Spade had been doing this over and over again for a good while now to strengthen his neck and desensitize himself to the ringing in his head it caused. Though he'd lost track of time. Perhaps he should take a break soon...
...or maybe he would once he was sure he could keep hitting the same spot more than a few times in a row.
He reared up again, prepared to slam into the bark once more, but stopped short in surprise at a voice cutting through his concentration, causing him to stumble a bit as his front hooves landed a little awkwardly.
Gray eyes blinked, looking to the side to find who had called out.
A smallish deer of darker-colored fur stood nearby, his antlers reduced to broken stumps. Spade blinked again at this, before realizing the other had spoken, and he should answer.
"Uh...hi?" He kicked himself mentally. Spade really needed to work on his socializing skills. His face was probably starting to turn red from embarrassment; he was glad it was covered by a deer mask.
Quad smiled here, his usual
He mustered some courage here, seeing the other deer wasn't going to charge at him as he was expecting. "I couldn't help but notice that you are doing some practice with your antlers. I'm looking for some help on how to fight and attack with my antlers...well...what was my antlers...anyway, I hate to be rude but I wanted to ask if you could show me some fighting tips?"
He squirmed a little here, now regretting he asked. He didn't realize how rude he sounded until after he spoke.

Blink. Spade hadn't expected
Spade hadn't expected that.
"Well, um..." He tried not to stumble over his words as he figured out how to respond. "I've never been in a real fight, but uh...mostly I'm just keeping myself in shape in case I do need to fight." Good. He hadn't really stuttered there. That would've been embarrassing.
His eyes went to the stump next to him. "Take this stump for example." His voice started to grow more steady as he talked as he grew more confident. "I was hitting it to practice my aim and strengthen myself." He turned his attention back to the dark-pelted stag. "Running around helps too." Spade noticed the shape the other was in, blinking again. "...but maybe that wouldn't be a good idea..." Oh man, I hope that wasn't rude... He mentally cringed at himself.
Quad nodded here. He wasn't
He showed an example of his running ability...which was pretty embarrassing to watch. He was sluggish, and the fur on his chest and belly seemed to sway oddly with each step. He huffed with each step, starting out fairly fast and then slowing gradually down. At one point he stops and lowers his head, gasping for air.
Sitting to regain his breath, he asked, "C...could I see your technique with the stump over there?"
Spade stopped berating
He nodded in agreement. He doubted there would be mercy shown in a real fight, unless the opponent was honorable...though that could be hard to tell, so it was better not to take any chances.
A cringe made its way across his face at how the other had trouble running for very long. Yea...I think he better stick to power-walking instead. At least at first... But he wanted to see his technique?
Well... Spade glanced at the stump. Alright...I guess... He wasn't used to anyone watching him train. Not with his knowledge of it anyway, for there could be those who saw him training when he wasn't aware.
Oh, get over it, Spade! This guy wants to learn, so why not. He stepped closer to the remains of what was probably a great tree - it must have strong roots to have never budged no matter how much abuse he put it through - before pausing, a thoughtful frown appearing on his face. ...wonder why he's set on learning to fight though... His curiosity got the better of him, causing him to turn his attention back to the smaller stag and ask, "Is there a reason you wanna learn how to fight? Besides just getting better at fighting, I mean."
Quad blinked for a second, he
He adjusted the weight on his hooves here a little, a tiny bit of bashfulness filling his face as he lowers his head. "So I guess you could say I want to learn how to fight for love...", he says, then adding, "...and for confidence too. I certainly need to be brave if I'm going to participate in the Rut."
One side of Spade's face
"That's not how my parents fell in love with each other. That's not how I-" Spade cut off the rambling he'd fallen into. He'd almost spoke of the doe he still loved despite her being missing. Getting depressed wasn't something he wanted to do right now.
Get a hold of yourself, Spade... He visibly shook off the thought, looking back towards the other stag. "I don't think you need to fight for love. Wanting confidence, though..." he nodded at himself. "That I understand." He turned his gray eyes towards the stump again. "I'll show you what I do to train...but I warn you," he looked back from the corner of his eye, "ramming with your antlers can make your head ring.
"..."
He turned his head back to the smaller stag. "You may wanna stand back. Sometimes bark comes loose and goes flying," Spade admitted almost sheepishly.
The blackbuck nodded and
Quad had the terrible urge to run away here, as he anticipated the other deer's attack toward the stump. This was a natural reaction to seeing these kinds of actions first-hand. But he dug his hooves into the dirt and waited to see the other stag's attack, his heart racing faster with each second passing.
He didn't speak, he only waited to see the technique.
(No subject)
The sound was much louder and
Soon after, the blackbuck appears and returns. "I'm...I'm sorry...that was much louder than I thought it would be. I didn't mean to run.", he apologizes here, lowering his head in shame.
But then he really thinks here. That attack must have been very powerful to send such a loud sound through the Forest. I need to get my act together, he thinks.
"Umm...I'll do my best not to run off again. But I did see how you attacked the stump. Could you explain your tactic?", he asks.
