Chapter 2 - A Sibling Journey

"Run, Coro! Run!", the father elk cried. The three deer moved swiftly, their legs already beginning to ache. The father, Mica, listened as the feet behind them were gaining ground. "Where were the others?", Oliva, the doe, questioned. "They already knew, they had moved on without us.", Mica replied. "Dad, I can't...", Coro, the fawn began when Mica interrupted him, "No, son! There is no stopping!"

Behind them were three lionesses, a small group that hunted on their own. Jaclyn, the leader, was a golden lioness and a natural decision-maker. The other two, Dominique and Artemis, had grey pelts and followed close behind.

Mica stopped and looked back, "There's no other option. I'll hold them off.", he said. "Mica, no...", Oliva began, but the elk nudged her, "Don't worry about me. Now go." "Dad...", Coro began to say. Mica smiled at him, "Go on, my son. Go and live." The mother and son turned and ran, both looking back one last time at their Mica.

The stag turned and charged at the lionesses. He lowered his head by the time they were in reach, connecting with Dominique and throwing her into a tree. Artemis leapt back, pouncing at him, but the stag was too fast for her, and he rammed into the mid-air lion and forced her to the ground.

Jaclyn had snuck behind the elk and pounced on him, biting at his back. The other two regained their breath and joined in, bringing the deer to his knees. They backed off, and Jaclyn stood before him. "Leave my herd alone...", Mica spat, but the lioness laughed, "When will you ever learn? The lion always gets the deer. Your kind belong to us." "Let's go get the two weak ones.", Dominique began, but Artemis shook her head, "No need. We have enough to eat here."

I went on a field trip with one of my classes this weekend. I just got back, and I'm really sore .

We went camping in the Talledega National Forest near Mt. Cheaha in Ashland, Alabama. We also went to a garnet beach and a state park called Tannehill.

Wonderful place! There are garnets all over the ground. Believe it or not, the "sand" you see there is actually mica schist rocks! So for an hour we got to collect garnets! I had a lot of fun with this, and made off with...

My tent . I forgot to clear the spot I put my tent on so when I went to lay down, I ended up laying on some pinecones . I had to lift the tent up and pull them out later.

Yeah, I decided to write one more.

Synopsis:

A newborn's dying moments. A mischieveous fawn's trickery. A lone lioness's plight. And a journey for a brother and sister. Four stories that all connect in the end.

I hope this doesn't end up being too confusing of a story, though. I try to make sure the reader knows which part each is about:

Eva - The newborn fawn in a mysterious place
Jaclyn - The lioness who has to survive on her own
Pent - A fawn in The Endless Forest who plays tricks on the other deer
Zephyr and Axie - The children of Quad and Mazey who are on a journey

As always, the parts in bold below are open slots for anyone who wants to be in the story. Most of the character slots will relate to Pent's story.

Chapter 1 - Rememberance Day

Her name was Eva. She was a lovely little newborn fawn. Her eyes looked to the sky, watching the cloud-filled atmosphere as snowflakes fell from them. The forest was enveloped in the cold, white substance, and the newborn's soft white fur was a perfect camoflauge for the area.

Sadly, she was too late. The newborn gasped as blood seeped from her wounds. Her fur was lined with several lines of blood that ran down her belly-up body and stained the snow she lay upon. Two beasts stood before her, two large hunting dogs, that both smiled in pleasure. They mauled her when she was discovered, the newborn was absolutely helpless against them. But she held on, her life was slowly ending before it even started.

"Brutus, Killer, no!", a voice came nearby. The newborn turned her head just slightly to see the new creature appear, a two-legged monster that approached and kicked one of the dogs. The dog yelped and ran, the other following behind. The human knelt next to the fragile little deer, taking a cloth and wrapping it around her body to stop her from bleeding.

Eva looked just past him to see another creature. It almost looked like a pile of snow, but she could see it. Her mother lay there, her eyes closed and her face deeply saddened as she rested in the soft snow. She was already dead. The newborn did not understand anything, and writhing a little more, she cried out for the first time as the cloth was tightly knotted.

The man lifted the little creature and held her in his arms. She lay helplessly, crying and gasping much deeper now. The man carried her away, calling for his dogs, who followed from a distance.

Eva's eyes closed. She shivered and buried her face into the man's sleeve. She slowly relaxed and fell into a soft slumber.

She didn't understand...

So I'm playing around with a Magic: The Gathering demo card maker, and I made a few cards using some artwork from here.

I think I'd really get a kick out of making some fake trading cards like this for TEF. So if you want your deer done, I need the following information:

Name -
Cost (I can pick this if you are unsure)-
Power and Toughness (example, 3/3; 5/6; 7/7) -
Any special abilities (only if you are familiar with the card game, and I can pick these for you as well) -
Flavor Text (can be a quote from your deer or something short about them) -

And I need either a screenshot or an artwork of your deer. It has to be big enough to fit the frame, so please keep that in mind. Oh and let me know who to credit the artwork for!

Here's a short list of abilities:

Haste - Can attack the same turn played. You're really quick!
Lifelink - You gain life equal to damage dealt. Good for "healer" deer.
Flying - Creatures without flying cannot block it. If you have wings, you have flying.
Vigilence - Does not tap to attack. You don't lose stamina, and are a good defender.
Deathtouch - Automatically kills an opponents creature if it deals damage to it (regardless of toughness, ect) Deadly deer have this!
Fear - Can only be blocked by black or artifact creatures. In other words, you're scary!
Trample - Any extra damage not blocked is dealt to the opponent. You squish things like pancakes!
Double Strike - Creature attacks twice. Good for fierce deer.
First Strike - Creature attacks first (if two 4/4's attack, they'd kill each other, but if one had first strike, it would deal damage before the other could so it would live and the other would die) So you're very strong.
Flash - You can play it at any time (like on your opponent's turn). You're persistant.

Currently I am not *really* taking requests unless you've never had your deer drawn (or if they've been drawn like once or twice). But I don't get a lot of computer time so....yeah....

Recent Stuff:

Believe it or not, Quad is a year old!

This is actually a little belated, though - I first played near the middle of October. But yeah it feels so funny that a year ago I was playing Version 2.0, having Quad run around as an adult already (he didn't have his name at the time, either), then later I went to the recent version and he was suddenly a fawn.

But I remember getting to find the BZD last year, meeting with people who later became some of my close friends on here, running around learning landmarks and how the game worked, and going to Twin Gods Hill every day to see if Michael or Auriea were there.

It's funny...I just started playing as Pent, my new deer, and he's almost going through the same things Quad went through last year.

Anyway, Happy Birthday, Quad! And also Happy Birthday to anyone else who started playing in October last year.

Okay guys, I have a new deer named Pent.

Her helped me choose the pictogram - it should be pretty recognizable:



Basically Pent is.....weird. He's almost oblivious of other deer, unless he needs to get a whiff of them. He's usually talking to some tree, so pay him no mind.

And don't be surprised if he buttsniffs you.

Okay so this is really kind of a personal list for me but I've been working on my Christmas shopping already. The reason why I am putting it here is because my parents and brothers don't know about this site, so they won't be snooping around if I put it somewhere else.

I actually shouldn't have to worry about it that much since this year things won't be too hard for me to get. I've decided to just give giftcards this time...six a piece, totaling $60 per person. However, if you read my ranting topic, I got some of those Webkinz things for them as well.

So today I got some of the giftcards taken care of, but I also got to use my mom's sewing machine for the first time! I made little pouches that wrap around each stuffed animals' neck and holds the giftcards. It took a little time to get used to making them, but after I figured everything out, they were done and they look awesome!

Hey guys, what would you think if I put the next story I am working on as the 4th Divine story?

So the Divine Trilogy would really be the Divine Quadilogy!

I'd love a vote on this - whether to include this story as the next (and probably final) "Divine" story, or to write it just as an aftermath of the Divine Trilogy.

If it was included in the series, then I could add it to my book-in-the-works. That would be postponed for now (I'm not really in a good financial position to make the books yet), and would give more people the chance to add more artwork (more on that later).
