So last night I was on iScribble with a few friends. In real life I was shuffling a newly built Magic: The Gathering deck when one of the cards escaped the pile and fell on the ground face down.
I picked the card up and looked at it for a moment:
So I mentioned it on iScribble and Pega asked if I was denying anything. Then after seeing the card, she pointed out the flavor text and suggested that it might mean I need time to think.
I'm not superstitious, I just thought this was interesting that of all the cards in my deck, this one was the one to come out. So what is there that I need to think about? My life? My future? Do I need to reflect on my past?
One thing this little event has shown me is that we as human beings seem to be rushed in our lives. We really don't ever get time to stop and meditate, because we're always on the go. I'm sure other cultures are not like this, but mine is at least.
Maybe that's what this card is trying to tell me - to slow down, take some time out of my day to rest, and have some time to think.
Anyway, pointless blog but I wanted to mention this little event.
Edit - Tonight I shuffled my cards again. One card fell out face up but it was a swamp (there's like 7 of them in this deck).
But here's the wierd thing. When I sat the deck down, then picked it up again, the bottom card was Wall of Denial! What the heck, of all the cards that could be on the bottom, it was the one that fell out last night?!
Another wierd thing tonight - I dropped cards twice from my hand. The first time, five cards fell out, in this order:
Soul Manipulation, Mind Funeral, Thoughtcutter Agent, Esper Charm, and an Island
Later on, three cards fell out...and it happened to be three of the same cards, in the same order:
Soul Manipulation, Mind Funeral, and Thoughtcutter Agent
