Upset. (RP)

Peaceful.

The birch paper bark lay strewn over the ground. Messy furrows pierced the snow's once-perfect shell of ice. Gashes marred a couple of the trees, now doomed to die from being stripped of bark. There, beside one tree, stood a heaving form.

How can I remain that way?

Head hung low, tines pointed directly at the most recently gored birch. Marks like those of an axe striped down the tree where those bright white bones had attempted to lodge in it. Wood chips littered the ground at the attacker's hooves.

These antlers are made for war.

All attempts so far had failed miserably. The trees had sacrificed themselves for little. Moss felt sour. The only thing he was given was a splitting headache in the attempt to crack the antlers from his skull.

Antlers are made to injure.

The black and white deer's sides heaved as he tried to catch the breath he had lost. One more time he tried. The once-peaceable beast threw his crown into the trunk. It gave in easily against the bone spears as they met. The beast continued to drive them in until he was sure they were sufficiently embedded in the wood. A grunt of frustration passed his lips, one of many that had echoed through the silence of the snowy lowland birch that afternoon.

I want them gone.

The beast bent his forelegs, thrusting upward. His muscles clenched visibly beneath the shaggy winter coat he wore. His face contorted as the pain shot through his skull. He cried out. The tree creaked in pain as they fought. It tried to hold on to the flesh that the deer was slowly tearing from it. The action hurt them both in a terrible way.

I want no part of this horrible burden.

Moss cried out again. Pain drew tears to his eyes and caused his face to burn red under the white fur. It hurt, oh it hurt! That tree, with a last squeal of wood being pulled from itself, gave way. The stag stumbled back.

>Alone In The Ruins<

Arcturus yawned. He had been running and jumping around all day with Skye. Right now they were in the ruins. "Skye?" He said. Skye looked up from what she was doing and tilted her head at Arcturus. "What?" She asked. "I think it's time to go." Arcturus said, lying down. "Oh..." Skye said. "Okay." Skye lay down and rested her head on a stone. Pretty soon she and Arcturus were asleep.

Arcturus woke to find he was alone. He looked around wildly for Skye, but had no luck. "Where did she go!?" He cried. Arcturus looked up to find that night had fallen. He gulped. He didn't like to admit it, but sometimes, the Ruins creeped him out. Suddenly, he heard a *clop* behind him. He turned around quickly and heard another *clop*.
A glowing, gold hoof stepped out from behind a wall. Afraid, Arcturus ran the other way, intent on getting away from the other deer, whoever it was.
*Clop, clop clop* The hoof-steps were getting quicker, and closer!
'I'm being followed!' Arcturus thought.
He turned around corner after corner. Finally, he heard a big, loud CLOP. Arcturus spun around to see a glowing hoof stepping out from behind a large bloulder. Then an antler. Arcturus backed up and jumped when he felt something hit him. He looked around to see he had backed up against a high, stone wall. Arcturus squeezed his eyes shut and prepared for the worst. *Clop, clop, clop.* The hoof-steps got closer and closer until....
Arcturus felt a warm aura against his pelt. A soft, deep voice said: "Don't be afraid, little one." Arcturus opened his eyes to see a glowing, golden buck standing infront of him. The buck's pictogram shone brightly above his head, and he had warm, kind, amber eyes. "I suppose I should work work on my approach." The gold buck mused. "You seemed awfully frightened when I came forward, I suppose sneaking up on other deer in the middle of the night in the Ruins isn't the best way to introduce myself." The buck looked at the sky for a moment, thinking.

Khedal Dump Post - Eternal WIP

This is a place where I'm gonna write down any ideas I have for Khedal, my deer-creature-thing, until I figure out where I want to go with kyn...

-Gender: Genderless; agender; neutrois
-Pronouns: kyne/kyn/kynes/kyneself. Aux: they/them/their/themself. (Aux are only to be used by those who have a mental condition which makes it difficult to use kynes pronouns, please respect this.)
    Examples of their usage:
  • Kyne went to the store.
  • It was too much for kyn.
  • Where's kynes food?
  • What was kynes is no more.
  • Kyne needs to cake care of kyneself.
-Species: Undetermined, likely something similar to a Qilin or a Kirin.
-Age: Ageless/Eternal
-Orientation: Aromantic and Asexual
-Size: About 24 (Note that Khedal is currently a fawn now, kynes current size is about 14)
-Appearance: I haven't drawn kyn yet.

More about kynes personality and other details to come ;3

>Making A Friend<

Arcturus sighed. 'I can't find anyone' He thought. The usual noises of deer calling and running around wasn't there. It was unusual. Arcturus walked over to the playground and began jumping from rock to rock. 'This isn't the most exiting thing to do' He thought. 'But at least it's something.' Finally, Arcturus got bored and just sat there on the rocks, letting the birds land on his antlers. "Hello?" A small voice said. Arcturus's head shot up. He looked over to see a little fawn looking at him with bright, blue eyes. "Who are you?" Arcturus asked, jumping off the rock he had been sitting on. "I... I'm Skye." The little fawn said. "I'm Arcturus." Arcturus said. "I..." Skye said. "I was wondering if you wanted to play with me, I can't find the other fawns." "The reason why you can't find the other fawns," Arcturus said. "Is because I'm pretty sure we're the only ones here!" "Wh..what!?" Skye exclaimed. "But...but...there are usually so many deer here!" "I know," Arcturus agreed. "It is strange, I don't know what happened to everyone!" Skye looked quite disappointed. "I was looking forward to playing with my fawn friends." She said. "Well..." Arcturus said. "I'll play with you." He smiled, er... smiled under his mask. "Ok!" Skye said, looking quite a bit happier. Arcturus and Skye ran around together, and Arcturus showed Skye how to cast spells. Arcturus and Skye became the best of friends, and still are to this day.
THE END..... Or is it?

I think I should make more little short stories like this about my charries. What do you think? Eye
