Well, I feel like a complete newbie. I used to play around in 3D shared worlds. I even lead a project that created a VRML world for a new university. But I don't really have an RPG or even a games playing background.

What attracts me to TEF, I think, is the fact that it makes a point of calling itself a 'screen saver' and of deliberately not establishing a gaming environment with set goals. I'm interested in environments that provide a release from goal directed and strategic action....And the graphics are great.

I'm not totally convinced by the 'fawn' thing. Is the idea to make newbies feel somewhat vulnerable? I realize that it's not supposed to be sexual at all, but I really don't want some stag getting too up close and personal here.

Anyone who has grown up with modern games would probably find all the controls really quickly by trial and error (a generation Z thing). But, as an oldie, I'm still trying to read the manual. Unfortunately I'm having trouble finding one - so I can't work out how to do basic actions like eating, drinking or checking on spells.

well im just seeing if this'll work on my phone. Sofar it looks good. Anywho, im texting this during lunch. Lol the things they talk about are funny, but sometimes creepy... For the first time after like...*counts years*...11 years im wearing some kind of dress. It feels weird since i gotta keep my legs close together. I have leggings though, not plain. Geeze that would be weird >,> but the day is good and sofar the only hw i have are ones that i owe. So im gonna try the game again with mah friend, who'll hopfully be able to get on also. Still thinking of a name for my deer. I want it to be Latin. Anyway, gotta go. Lunch is gonna end soon and i have things i gotta draw.

At first Rain felt kind of insecure. She roamed the Forest for a wile but it seemed as if she was alone, like in one of those nightmares when you are all alone in an empty world... Every time she saw a glowing picto it turned out its owner was asleep... She wondered around for a while. And just as she began to think that maybe it would be for the best to lie down and sleep herself, she met a cute little company consisting of a fawn and a bunny who followed the fawn wherever he wnt. That was so adorable! Rain was uplifted and decided to play with them. Using the forest magic, she turned into a bunny herself. They had a lot of fun running around.

A little bit tired from all the running, they rested near the pond with some other deer...


Then Rain said goodbye... She loved playing with fawns and deer but she never really sticked to some pack. She comes out of the depths of the forest in search of company when she is depressed or lonely and then dissapeares again...
But surprises of this day weren't over. On her way to the Crying Idol, Rain met a very nice deer. They ran around for a while... And then he walked her to the Idol where they said their goodbyes...

I have no idea how any of this works, so here's me testing. Played around a little and the controls are jerky, which probably means my computer isn't quite up to this. Also I've registered and logged in and my deer still doesn't have a pictograph over his head, even though I chose one. Can't find anything in FAQs about that...
Lots of fun with other deer and a big gathering around a tree with light bursts and masks... no idea what that was about, except that it was awesome!
I've also noticed that with all the different gestures and pieces of body language I can do, if I make him hop in place he Will Not Stop unless I make him do something else. I think I scared a few other deer away with continuous inexplicable hopping...
