[sub]He had not been an adult for too long yet. His long, gangly fawn legs hadn't changed much, but his body was longer, fuller, and his long tail had become a lovely fan.

His ears were no shorter, and sometimes he felt very much like a rabbit, but his hearing had become better, if anything, and his ability to spy had become that much greater.

His fawn spots had disappeared completely, and his pelt was a bright, cheerful red. He felt it was a bit of fun on the part of the gods to make him so painfully obvious to the rest of the world, but had become used to it.

Today he had been going about his normal business - that is, the business of making other people's business your own. He was not nosy so much as curious... He found he didn't care so much about what the individual he stalked had to say, so much as he wanted knowledge of their personality.

If I could learn more about them, he pondered, perhaps I could find out more about this forest. And maybe... Maybe I could even find...

His steps faltered. He strained for the memory, then his eyes went wide with panic as he realized he could no longer recall-

Wait. There it was. Her voice, her touch. The memory of his mother. He relaxed, and found he had to sit in the protection of a thicket because his knees had begun to shiver.

How could he forget the memory of his own mother? The only person - from that life - who had ever cared about him? His ears went flat against his skull and he moaned softly, pressing his forehead against the bush's trunk.

Crack.

He drew back, thinking he had broken a limb, but as his ears perked up heard it again - a sharp snap of crashing foliage.

Whatever it was was moving quickly, and he was right in its way!

Leaping to his feet, he scurried out of the way just as a massive, brindled stag came barreling through the trees.

Wow, the Drinkplaats is so cool! I wish you could take your new animal forms with you as you left...but I guess that would make them lose their value. My favorite, I think, is the rabbit. It's just so nice and fat and plump and the animation is cool.

I had fun playing around with a new player today, too. The pictogram looked new and unusual, and of course the character was a fawn. We frolicked a bit at the rocks, then went to the Drinkplaats and had fun with a bunch of other deer.

Cool update--here's hoping there are many more to come!

laptop problems persist.
After dealing with a blue screen of death in the middle of typing a story, a 15 minute wait for firefox to launch, and multiple errors it has reached the unanimous conclusion to completely wipe the hard drive.

Backing up data started yesterday and will continue until this weekend when the whole system is nuked.

Mostly a notice for the friends/acquaintances I actively chat with on MSN.
And to anyone reading my/kita/fran's story progression.
I won't be halting or postponing, but it may be a bit slow depending on when I can sit down to type out the next entry. I'll have to directly post to site using a different format and screen size than I am use to so the text may appear odd (too large, too small, wrong colour etc.).

Since I got a Wii for Christmas, I am finally able to play Okami. Of course, I love this game. One of my favorite aspects of the game is when you run for long periods of time, flowers, grass, and sometimes lilypads sprout in your footsteps.

I was running around in the Forest this evening, and I thought about how it would be neat if our deer could have the same effect on their environment. Possible copyright issues aside, having the deer trail effects such as flowers, grass, lily pads, and even sparkles behind them while running for a period of time might be pretty. Someone mentioned sparkles coming off the deer's hooves in a Christmas thread a couple of years ago.

Maybe this effect could be granted to someone by other players as pelts, masks, and antlers are:

1)A player eats a special fruit or berry, casts a spell on another player.

2) The player receiving the spell would sparkle for a moment to indicate that the spell has taken effect.

3) The trail of flowers/grass/mushrooms/sparkles/whatever would only show up when the player runs.

4a) The trail will remain with the player until he/she sneezes it off or falls in the pond. Or:

4b) The trail fades after a period of time.

Like the other enchantments, the spell would be random, so players would not know whether or not they received the ability to leave behind flowers, grass, mushrooms, sparkles, or some other effect. Players could also have a chance to trail different kinds of flowers, such as poppies, purple flowers, small dandelions, or new flowers that are introduced into the game.

I had this idea in my head and just wanted to get it out there.

It had been a week since Serenity had died, or been stolen. She was trying to save me as I was being chased by the Death God, it was all my fault. Latte had tried many times to convince me it wasn't but I knew deep down, if I hadn't run in their direction...
I sighed and looked miserably down at my hooves. Latte and I had settled down under our usual resting spot, there was a gap between us. The gap that Serenity usually rested in. I didn't know Latte quite well so we didn't talk much. My mind drifted onto Serenity...
Thats when it hit me.
Serenity had been killed by a beast once before and the gods had brought her back to life, maybe if I prayed to the gods they would help me! I had to tell Latte the plan. My eyes looked over to Latte.
" Err...Latte? "
Latte looked up, the one blue eye that was showing ( the other covered by her long fringe) was misted with sadness.
" Yes, Sparx? " She said , miserably.
" I've had and idea, to bring Serenity back! " I said, grinning
Her voice was doubtful.
" Let's hear it then? "
" When you and Serenity were killed by the beasts, the twin god brought you to life. If we prayed for Serenity and the god's help at the abiogenesis stones they may bring her back to life! "
Latte sighed, " Sparx, gods can only bring a deer back to life once, but its worth a try, I guess. "
We got to our hooves and headed for the abiogenesis stones.

When we arrived a lot of fawns were prancing around the stone, their pelts were a bright, dazzling white and they were surrounded by an eerie blue glow. Their white pelts were flecked with pink spots and their eyes were rimmed with the same pink shade.
I knelt infront of the great glowing stones and so did Latte. I prayed hard.
Then I heard a voice echoing in my head " There is only one way, meet me at moonlight " My eyes shot open and I stood up straight, glancing at Latte.
" Did you hear it to? " I asked, " The voice, I mean. "
" I did.

Anxiety flowed freely through Kita as she pulled her gaze from the gray doe's who stood back away from the family, her stance was protective, even though Finata had been reunited with his father. She shifted her weight from one hoof to the other, turning her gaze quietly toward the bull and fawn who lay against one another.

She frowned and she sighed, moving quietly around so she stood before Seshi, ears flicking with worry. She didn't know how to break it to him, how to tell him. He would believe her, wouldn't he? It would seem crazy but he had believed that Finata was his son, so he would believe this also... wouldn't he?

She remembered the way he had looked when he asked her to dance. The quiet uncertainty that had reflected deep within his eyes that looked identical to her Furfur's eyes. She shivered slightly. They were almost identical, she couldn't help but see the similarities and she wondered how she had not seen it before. She tilted her head slightly as she looked at the father and son, they would have believe her. She would make them believe her.

She ran over the lines in her head again and again and tried to reherse them as she forced her courage to the sticking place. "Seshi, listen I really do have something to tell you," she said softly, sea-green orbs watched him. Her worry showed through them and her heart raced, pounded against her chest as though it threatened to break free.

Exactly wut it says in the title. it's been like month, feels like 2 months. I really wish i wasn't taking Finals at the moment. I'm in Biology and we used the computers for the test. I didn't do too hot, but I pass the semester. I just hope i did better in History. I NEEDed to do good on that one. Next I'll be having lunch and be finishing up somethings for the next Final, English with Tarara, she's not cool.... I just hope that she lets me and 3 others who are on the hockey team leave once we finish the test. Lol tomorrow i have just to go and take a Latin test and Gym test. gym is gonna be easy as hell. Latin, not so much >< so I'll HAVE to study latin all the time i have and I HAVE to understand it. Lol on Thursday I just wake up, go to school at 7:20, take geometry test @ 7:40, the leave @ 9:40am and go home XDD I don't need to do a retake nor do I have an 8th hour class X3
I've been on DeviantArt a lot though. chatting rping, kinda sad. that's the only place I'm addicted to over the internet XDD. school wont let me get on DA >8<
