I joined TEF a few days ago but didn't log into the website until about five minutes ago. The past few days that I've run around in the forest I noticed how prettymuch invisible I was. I saw it with other fawns too. The ones with pictos and some ones that actually didn't have pictos and those are new members, right? They were mostly ignored save for a sniff or bow, or nothing at all. I've hung out with a few deer and have watched others quite a lot. Is this what it means to be a new member? Ignored most of the time? All the adults are always noticed. I haven't seen one adult deer at all that has been completely ignored. I'm getting a bit of a bad feeling now. Is it just me that's seen this, or have others noticed? I don't want to be ignored in forest. Please don't think of me as some annoying person for asking this either. I'll probably delete this later if someone could answer my questions. Maybe I'm around at bad times.
It happens to new members
But why? I thought new things
My picto is my username. On my account, the picto keeps changing to others. I'm not quite sure how to show it and thank you. This place seems nice.
We are all very friendly
Anyway~
Welcome to the forest (:
Feel free to approach my deer any time you see them, they are all very friendly.
-shrugs- People are just
But regardless welcome and if I see your picto floating about i'll play with you.
Well, you shouldn't be
You're welcome to approach this guy if you want, I'll respond if I'm not AFK. He is very friendly.
Sometimes players are busy
Sitting deer may be afk. I have noticed some fawns keep bowing at a sitting deer then the deer "falls asleep" which means the player has not touched the forest in a while so most likely afk. Even if they are still sitting they may have went afk checked on the game then went afk again after seeing nothing was going on. I do that sometimes.
I am not saying that there are times where you have not been ignored. It really depends on the player. But sometimes it can be hard to tell why a deer does or does not act a certain way.
I hope I eased your mind? I am sorry you felt ignored.
Also, what we call "second Generation Pictograms" tend to glitch. That is why yours on the community keeps spinning. In game your pictogram might be missing a piece to other players view.
If you have any other questions please ask. : )
I'm sorry about your bad
Although I can guarantee you this happens with adults as well. In fact sometimes it seems fawns are better off than adults. It seems there is really no concrete formula to it. I've seen fawns being ignored many times as well as older people complaining about loneliness or being attacked randomly.
I hope you'll still have an enjoayble experience. The negative minority is often louder than the positive majority that is usually taken for granted.
Say hi if you see the plug
Edit; GAH I got ninja'd so
Well here's some tips...I assume you're still a fawn...
Fawns are usually the other newbies too...you can just go up to them and they are usually pretty accepting.
Adults tend to like cute fawns that sit by them when they're alone or just generally keep them company. Not all are like this though, there are some that have characters that may not like fawns or are acting in character so they might ignore you.
Don't be discouraged though, just keep trying
Also if you see Ourania (picto is my avatar) feel free to play with her
I was thinking about what to
Welcome to the forest, and hope the rest of your stay will be a better experience, for this is truly a wonderful place.

STILL. The above goes for anytime.
what others have said, yeah.
anyway if you ever see tikwid around feel free to approach, he loves running around with people he don't know. (:
This happened a lot to me way
I think one of the reasons people get discouraged from interacting with fawns is that there are lots of new ones in the forest each day, and many will only stay for a day or a few before they grow tired of the game and so those bonds that you've been tying to them are painfully severed. I know that shouldn't matter, that you should be able to just hang out without strings attatched and enjoy it, but it does sting. I think that's why a lot of people prefer to hang out with those they are less likely to lose.
I usually prioritize befriending fawns over most things, because I remember how horribly lonely it was not to have anyone acknowledge your existence. (Also because fawns are generally a lot of fun if you can only get them to hang around! x3) But I've loved and lost about a dozen of my babies, and it hurts darn it!
Please join Bloo if you see her. <3
Also some general advice: Stick with someone, don't be discouraged and it will pay off.
I'M SORRY for not keeping
