This video talks about how to develop a Visual Library and how having one improves design skills. It focuses on designing for the video game and movie industries but I can see how it would have applications for anything, including TEF character design. The guy narrating also mentions there are many more in the video series (50+) so it could be beneficial to look at the others, if people find things useful.
