The kind of color he has is called 'apricot', actually. Jeni was an apricot, but it's not really noticable in the photos.
The 'eye color' is from the camera flash. He has dark brown eyes - his pupils were just really big in the photo.
Yeah Verdy you're pretty much the opposite of me as far as dogs go. I don't like big dogs because they scare me - I know they can be sweet and all, but I don't like something that can pull me while we're walking or that I can't control. It's probably because we've had small dogs all of my life, so I'm not used to big ones.

Also, Brandy is an amazing color; I've never seen a Dachshund that color, before! I've got a Dachsie, too (a mini) -- but he's just red. c:

Brandy is a rare breed called an Isabella Fawn. Ironic, isn't it, since I'm so obsessed with deer? People often mistake Brandy as a weimaraner puppy, because that's the exact color she is!
Heh, my family breed is the American Staffordshire. Or for the unaquainted, the 'Pit Bull'. x3 They're great dogs, but having grown up around them, I'd never own one myself -- if only for the fact that no one wants to pet your dog when you take them out in public. It's a shame so many people are so scared of our dogs. But I'm definitely a Dachshund person; although sometimes it would be nice to own a more outgoing breed. xD
