Originally born into an upper-middle class family, his carefree life would be short lived. Growing up, he had a very activate imagination which allowed him to amuse himself with ease but did not help with keeping him out of trouble. Each day was like an adventure to him as he played out a different persona; often pretending to be The Doctor the most as he wanted to be a hero. When he turned four, his parents decided to enroll him in a nursery school to not only develop him intellectually, but to also expose him to other children. Though, he had trouble keeping peace among the other kids. Often smarting off to bullies before getting picked up; pretty much once a week his teacher was calling his parents. Worrying about his son's behavior, Jonathan began pushing Sophie to wanting to send Cypher to a private, boarding preparatory school when he turned of age. At the age of eight, he was admitted to the Beaulieu School - a boarding school for both boys and girls from the ages of 8 to 13 - located just north of Chelmsford. Though his time spent within the boarding school would be short lived. Less than a year after admission, the kidnapping would take place.

His food was poisoned to mimic the symptoms of the flu, forcing his entry into the medical ward of the boarding school. Forced to stay under observation overnight, he was later transported to a "hospital" for farther treatment but woke up feeling very uneasy with the nurses as he was being carried to a van. He trusted his gut instinct and tried to run out of fear, causing him to blindly wander the forests of northern Essex before coming to stop as he overlooked one of the rivers flowing through the countryside. Considered jumping in order to escape whatever was chasing him but exhaustion ultimately saved his life, causing him to collapse in the snow where the nurses quickly found him again. This marks the earliest memory Cypher has of his life.

For the next nine years, he along with five of his former classmates were used in illegal brain washing experiments conducted by Dr. Malcolm Hayes and Dr. David Shun Heung. Each of the six children were attempted to be "broken" by a different means; fear was used on Cypher, attempting to strip him of his personality and free will by placing him in tormenting, dreadful situations. His spiteful attitude quickly made him a favorite among the group as Dr. Hayes grew to enjoy the satisfying feeling empowerment he had over the younger man. Cypher quickly developed aquaphobia after numerous drowning attempts and tortuous behaviors during hydrotherapy.

After turning eighteen, Dr. Heung arranged an escape option for him by placing him in the care of an old colleague, Jacob Walters, who was the president of AoM's Manchester branch. Desperately trying to figure a way to protect him as Dr. Hayes started to show murderous tendencies towards him. Cypher spent over a year in rehabilitation to be re-released into society, reteaching him the basics of socializing and how to live on his own. He has remained in AoM's care, finding comfort in the closeness he has developed with Jacob and enjoys the thrill of the job. His mission at the moment is to investigate a growing point of interest to the AoM- a secret, highly magical land known as the Endless Forest. Very little is known regarding this mythical forest. We have sent Cypher to gather data on the forest and to report all his finding back to headquarters.

Balthamos
("Lil' Mos/Dear Mos")
A strange bond has formed between this ghostly entity and the paranormal investigator, often looking towards each other for support and advice. Feels honored that the fawn puts so much trust into him and relies on him, despite their rare - but treasured - encounters. Has taken notice in the specter's growing anxiety over the clothed-stag's carelessness with paranormal or strange entities, especially after discovering his "deal" with Mr. Sanguine. Quite fond and protective of the fawn, feeling slightly fatherly towards though is unsure if the feeling is mutual.

Bartleby ("Sir, Mr. Troy")
A finer gentleman and one of the most civilized individuals he has come across. Greatly respects not only for sharing a similar, proper upbringing but also due to the buck's dedication to Migisi. Feels the need to watch over the buck in order to repay him for his brave acts of protecting her. Respect deepened as he cared and helped teach the newly-formed doe basics of socializing and movement.

Once witnessed his regeneration after finding his corpse when killed by Mr. Sanguine. Farther increasing his interest in the young buck.

Bright Eyes
("Dear Bright")
Bewildered by the rollercoaster relationship, is uncertain of where they truly stand. Often bickering and mock each other in rivalry fashion, still tend to occasionally have decent meetings. However, recent events have caused the stag to greatly question their rocky friendship. Feeling foolish for putting so much silent trust into the crow-creature and feeling disappointment and hurt with the outcome of their last few encounters.

Has been awhile since the two have spoken but have glanced at one another in passing.

'Crying' Jane'
("Dear Jane/Miss")
Enjoys her pleasant company. Once feared he had ruined the feeble foundation to build a friendship on, having gotten slightly too cocky with the doe's 'adorable' blushing but the doe has approached him since. Giving him some hope that he has not screwed up too badly but feels pressured when speaking to her due to the delicate nature she seems to have.

Buttons
("My dear")
Young doe whom he recently met. Is surprised by her quickness to put trust in him and honored to bring another a sense of security. Eager to learn more about.

Daneth
Larger stag that he had previously met long ago. Never formed much of a bond outside of general acquaintances but recently has become a target for his "bullying". Triggers the very rare, barbaric side of himself as the two bicker for dominance over territory. Enjoys toying with the stagly stag by claiming trees as "his" but becomes defensive when Migisi is corralled from him.

Herla
Once barely knew the medicine doe outside of Migisi occasionally bringing them together or asking for her to tend to his wounds, has recently begun to grow closer to. Despite still feeling distant from her, is honored to discover her trust with him and offers what protection and aid he can.

Juliet
("Lovely/My sweet")
Recently developed a new sense of respect and fondness for her, having witnessed her bravery in action to come to his aid during a stressful time. Greatly admires her dedication. Enjoys her peaceful company and tender behavior, often feeling relaxed and more playful around her. Is capable of coxing out a more childish, carefree side of him. Still is oblivious to her deafness but suspects her to be mute. Has grown to greatly enjoy their outings but feels guilty for any burdens his presence near her might cause due to his spiteful past with her "father".

Migisi
("Darling")
The precious former-jackdaw that has become a staple to his sanity, often feeling "stronger" when near her and prone to jealousy when others get too close. Considers her his 'dearest' friend as she has remained loyal and dedicated to him despite all the hardships he has dragged her through with him. Offering silent support in her own little ways. Has become the only one he shares his 'true' feelings with, seeking comfort from her when he mental breaks down. Extremely protective of; greatest fear is losing her as she is the only "good" thing he feels he truly has in life.

Recently was persuaded by Mr. Sanguine to turn her into a deer. Feels guilty for her distress and was concerned that their bond might have been damaged over his failure to "protect" her. Yet despite the hardships, their relationship has remained strong though the doe does not hold back with throwing tantrums or blaming him.

Mr. Sanguine
("Sir")
Their meeting had been brief...but incredibly intriguing...The crimson's elegance and class greatly interests him as much as his high intelligence. Unsure what to make of him but feels oddly pulled to converse more often. Triggers a slightly more cynical side of himself and has grown to enjoy the thrill of their meetings.

Was convinced by to ask for the jackdaw to be turned into a deer. Was surprised that he did not ask for something in return other than amusement but questions his motivates.

Nathaniel
("Sir")
Recent acquaintance. Growing to enjoy the buck's company and thankful for his quick forgiveness after their initial meeting being over a fight. Is curious of.

Quill
("My dear")
One of the first acquaintances he met upon entering the Forest. The two bonded fairly quickly though she vanished without a trace not long after their meeting. Has re-patched their relationship but the pair have grown slightly more distant. Still thrilled and happy to her see, feels a slight emotional detachment upon he wishes to fix one day.

Ramsus
("Sir")
Has not had a proper introduction with the beastly stag. Feels uneasy around if only due to not understanding his motivates. Dislikes his aggression towards Migisi but feels there is a sense of miscommunication beneath their head clashing.

Saxophone
("Dearie")
Complex, confusing relationship. Is dedicated to her despite her being the reasoning for most of his beatings and bad reputation. Enjoys her subtle ways of showing affection and finds many of her antics to be amusing and likes to tease, though growing frustrated with her bickering of his chivalrous duties to her. Even though she has proven to be a handful, he watches over her feeling that she has wrongfully been judged and her attempts at making up for her actions have gone unnoticed.

Recently has lost contact with her, making him fear for her safety as he knows a little about her "other" world.

Sianna
("Minx")
Seen her a few times before, including faintly remembering a bad run in with her sometime far in the past over Migisi. Has surprisingly found himself in her company as of late. Still unsure of any personal feelings towards her and while interested in her liveliness, has grown frustrated with persistent flirtation. Partly from his own ignorance regarding how to act around women and another part from her quickness to get physical.

Sherlock
Originally started off on the wrong foot, was forced to tolerate the stag's presence due to his ties to Migisi. However, has somehow managed to befriend him though still occasionally feels jealous when the (now) doe favors him but has learned to control himself. Completely dumbfounded by the stag's flirts and gets confused over much of his behavior.

Shika
("My dear/Sweetie")
One of the first deer he met when first entering the Forest. Knew her as a fawn and watched her grow, giving him an 'older brother' father feeling. Very protective of and offers advice when given a chance, always keeping an eye on her to ensure she is safe. Shows her the more tender side of himself. Grew incredibly concerned when the young doe showed signs of an unseen torment but has lost contact with her, making him believe he has failed her.

A piece of his heart remains shattered.

'Smiling' Jack
("Sir" - Habit in the works of breaking)
Unsure of what to make of their relationship as of late. The white stag seems to have become more tolerable of him yet seems to still despise him. Mocks and insults him, but also allows his company Out of respect, he tried to keep his distance as he does not wish to worsen the little peace that does exist; always feels judged and under pressure when the two speak. Has been warned to not take Juliet away from him, in any way.

Sonne
("Dear Sonne")
Grew attached to her rather quickly due to her innocent and bubbly personality but after some hardships, realized that her innocence was not as pure as he originally believed. Still cares for her but the pair have seemed to grow distant, especially as she starts to side with Bright - the crow and stag's relationship interring with his and the doe's.

Talla
Has met the smaller doe on occasion and in the company of mutual acquaintances. Once attempted to approach her on his own, but quickly started to distant himself after seeing her fearful reaction to him - not wanting to put the lady in distress. Is interested in wanting to get to know her after Herla's attempts to introduce them but has chosen to eye her from afar until she feels willing to allow him closer.

The Stag: Species wise he closely resembles a leucistic red deer though malnourished in appearance. Stomach not as rounded nor is his chest as muscular as the average red deer. Backside fairly evened and frame supported by slender, length legs giving him a very sleek, thin look. (Similar to this.) Scruffy fur is an unnaturally bleached color with mahogany-colored ear tips and bordered-tail, hind legs appear to have been "dipped" into the same coloring as socks run up from his hooves before blending and fading into his white fur just above his hock. Beneath his fur, multiple scars from his early days can be found, giving a tiny glimpse into his abusive past.

Antlers are of medium length with only a few tines as they curve slightly above his head sprouting from rich brown hair. Well-groomed and short in the back as it grows progressively longer towards the front before becoming scruffy medium-length bangs that drape over his forehead; sideburns run down both sides of his head and are trimmed just below the ear. Face remains humanoid, semi-diamond-shaped with slightly sunken in cheeks beneath raised, noticeable cheekbones and pointed chin. Nose somewhat long and pointed. Eyes a deep, crystallized blue beneath groomed, bushy eyebrows.

Clothing is still worn, despite being an "animal". Plain white, button-up cotton shirt layered with a black polyester vest. Shirt runs down to where his "wrists" would be and clipped together with silver cufflinks. Top two buttons generally left open to give him mobility with his neck with a silk, silver tie tucked into the 'V' of the vest. Pocket watch chain runs from the third button on his vest and drapes along his side to where his watch is tucked into a small pocket on his right side. Rounded fedora is nestled between his antlers. Along his upper left leg is an arm band with the initials "AoM" embroidered onto it.

The Man:English heritage, stands slightly around 6" with a scrawny frame. Arms and legs are both lanky with very little sign of muscle with thin wrists above medium-sized hands and long bony fingers. Semi-diamond-shaped with slightly sunken in cheeks beneath raised cheekbones and pointed chin. Nose somewhat long and pointed. Eyes a deep, crystallized blue beneath groomed, bushy eyebrows. Skin always soft and pale, face shaven daily. Well-groomed dark brown hair is short in the back as it grows progressively longer towards the front before becoming scruffy medium-length bangs that drape over his forehead; sideburns run down both sides of his head and are trimmed just below the ear. (He has unintentionally morphed into Cumberbatch. I swear, it was purely by accident.)

Clothing is personally fitted to his unique frame. Typically always dressed in business casual, favoring solid colored button-up shirts over other tops and often layered either with his ebony vest or a blazer depending on the weather or will wear just the shirt in a causal setting. Prefers dark colored slacks with polished dress shoes. Wears a leather belt but rarely tucks his shirts in. His silver tie may or may not be worn, depending on the situation often taking it off when not on the job much like the required "AoM" arm band. Silver pocket watch is always tucked into his right pocket, as his cell phone is kept in his left. Cufflinks clip together the bottom of his sleeves unless the weather is warm, then he will roll the sleeves up to just below his elbows. If in a dangerous setting or on a mission, will have a standard sized revolver holstered to his left side of his hip.

Pretty much always wears his fedora.

Out of Character Notes

Cypher's works are based on historical fiction meaning that his life mimics today's modern society. While he holds no recollection of how exactly he became a stag in a magical Forest, he is very in-touch with his humanity. He chooses to continue to wear clothing since the familiarity brings comfort to him and despite fur, he feels 'nude' without it. He also had a habit of making references to real world media. He has the capability of crudely writing with his left hoof and has the ability to read. Can do math and has a solid understanding of science but his knowledge only spans to about high school level.

While he enjoys the thrill of a chase and a good brawl, confrontation is something Cypher will try to avoid if he can. The phase "his bark is worse than his bite" sums him up nicely. He will not hesitate to make snappy comments that often get taken as taunts, resulting in him getting punished for opening his mouth. At first, he will try his best to bargain with the opposing party to bide time as he tries to figure out a way to escape. If he cannot manage to slip away or talk his way out of a fight, he will stand his ground despite knowing it will end poorly for him. Unlike most men of his age, Cypher is on the scrawny side with very little muscle, making him agile and quick but causing him to get injured fairly easily. He knows proper fighting stances but lacks force to do serious harm unless a weapon is being used. He relies on his intelligence and quick thinking more than his body to protect him; often using the environment to his advantage.

The abuse he endured by the hands of Dr. Hayes have left him with a fairly high tolerance for pain. He is no masochist but he is capable of dealing with a beating. He hates the pathetic feeling that comes from failure, resulting in him often over pushing himself in attempts to "win" before finally being beaten enough to make him crawl away with his tail between his legs.

However, it has been noted that he tends to get a bit of a "thrill" from dangerous women. Being the gentleman he is, he very rarely ever becomes aggressive towards females, but if she asks for it... Or begs for it... Then sure, why not.
