Recognition and Restlessness

[=crimson]Perhaps it is too much to force myself to continue these writings. So much time has begun to lapse between each entry... However, they do help maintain the memory. Such has been growing fuzzy lately. If anything, it might be necessary to write more now, than before. I'll have to think about this.

Now, when did I write last? There is some catching up to do, text wise.

I have encountered Nightmare recently. He chose to join me by Laghodessa's gravesite until Walter came around and had me follow him away. He was quick to lead the way to where Burrow, Ephra, and a select few others had gathered. We all sat together and conversed for a time. It was good to see Burrow again, after so much time. The same can be said about Walter and Ephra. Such are those who deserve respect. After a short time, Walter departed from the group, presumably to fetch another deer. Nightmare located the group, and I left to meet with him.

We had a friendly spar, both to relieve stress on one end and stretch the stiff and tired body of another. Hnn... Perhaps the spar could have lasted longer, but I chose not to over-do it with this deer. After all, we had an audience, and it would have been unwise to cause much harm.

After the spar had ended and the group broke up, I retired to the ruins. It was not long before that hunger rose again once there, and after leaving poppies at Lagho's gravesite I left the sacred grounds to hunt.

Much unlike the previous hunt, this one bore success. Once again I found a stag sleeping alone in the forest. Again, it was one with mighty horns... the kind I would rather have broken and left in shambles. With care, I stepped around the sleeping stag, looking around for potential observers. The air carried no scents of nearby deer or fawns, and the stag showed no sign of waking. With the opportunity now opened, I lowered my head and sunk my teeth into his throat. One quick yank would be all it took to snatch life from the sleeper.

Please keep to literate RP or doodle responses. 4 lines minimum per written response. Detail desired.
I also beg that no-one use the instant RP killer questions like "how are you" and "What do you want to do" in character. Those always lead to very short and fruitless interractions.

Finally, I must mention that since I'm usually busy, please forgive some slow responses. |D;

Character trait change?

So, I've been thinking lately...

Since I created him, my Darkweaver has been designed to be a rather aggressive character, but also designed to never hurt a doe. Since then, a lot of the time it's female characters that often show him hostility (Probably because they know he won't retaliate?)...
I and the character have been getting frustrated partially since half the time it's hard to tell who the does are, especially if they have antlers other than the obvious 'Noh' antlers.

So I wonder, should I completely lobb off that courtious trait and have my old demon willing to fight -anyone- who throws a taunt or lowers antlers? Or should I keep him as is, trying to only fight other stags when shown hostility.

Honestly need someone elses opinion. XD;

Well, I just got back into being active here again...
But I'm starting to think I might need to haitus again. Blurgh.
Not like I have a rumpload of time for games anyway.

Observations

[=crimson]
There seems to be more liveliness in the forest lately. The past few days have been becoming increasingly eventful, in comparison to the long series of uneventful days and nights past this year so far. There has not necessarily been the kind of activity that I had once written of, in which blood had been repeatedly shed, but the telltale signs of the past promising to repeat itself have appeared.

A few days ago, I continued my usual toiling at the ruins. I would have thought that by now the roots of those weeds would have been uprooted completely by now. Regardless... I could not help but notice a certain blue doe watching from the nearby hills, beside a sleeping Wesker. At some point she sprinted into my path to cover her Hoshiko's grave. I have never touched that grave, so I do not understand why she thinks I will do something to it. Of course, I would be justified in doing so, considering how often her vile mate has uprooted and defiled my dear Laghodessa's gravesite. My blood boils to this day at the memory. Not once in the recent months has that little doe greeted me properly. She endlessly stalks and stares, often having her Wesker, children and evident grandchild with her.

On that thought... Archelius, when are you going to look for a mate? Hnn... I'll have to convince him to join the rut this year. Older than sand… and I am still not a biological grandfather. Adopting the occasional fawn for a day to be such doesn't quite fill that position. What is this...

Beside the blue doe, there have been several spirits appearing lately. I nearly lost track of all the ghostly faces that appeared. Some I will admit were not familiar. Among those to actually pay a visit that day, however, was Nightmare. I appreciated his company, for the time it lasted. It is concerning to see so many spirits growing restless. This can only indicate chaos coming in the near future.

I've finally done it!

I turned in my 2 week resignation notice at work.
I quit.

A quiet day

[=crimson]Hnn… It has been a long time since my silence has last broken. Perhaps months, if not at least half a year have gone by since anything of substance has occurred. Today has not proved to be much different from the rest within this year.

The morning had been spent, uprooting weeds from around the ruins. With how often these bloody hooves upturn and arrange the ruin grounds, it continues to be a surprise when outbreaks of weeds litter the sacred lands. Once the ground appeared respectable again, I chose to rest beside my dear Laghodessa’s grave. Toward high noon, a few unwelcome faces turned up.

I suppose they call it Murphy’s Law… I thought I’d never see those clowns again. Aves, Daiki… An unemotional scholar and a… well… whatever he is. Then there is that fawn… always teary eyed and hiding at the corner of my eyes. I hardly ever hear him actually speak, but the other clowns have mentioned his name. Orion.

Hnn… Orion was the one to speak for the three today.

He mentioned that a certain abomination…
Spill…
Has somehow returned from the land of death.

Hnn… The disgusting creature…
If I see him again, I will deal with him.

They dispersed after leaving their message, and I came out of rest. With a bow and a nuzzle, I left Laghodessa and began to walk for the lake.

Hnn… It seems that these old joints have not seen any action lately, and have grown stiff. I’ll need some exercise. It didn’t take long before a fawn began to bleat in my face. It took a toll on my patience to deal with it politely. Soon I chose a tree to rest beneath, and with the passing of a short time, I was joined by Ourania.
Ourania, it has been too long. It is good to see you again.

She left after a short while and I finished my walk to the lake and took a drink. I noticed a pain welling up in my ankles and walked thru the creek to the main body of the lake and sat there. That fawn continued to follow me everywhere.

Opinion on derps? Bandwaggoning, yes.

So I noticed that bandwaggon fluttered by again. I never jumped it before, but I've always been somewhat curious...

So, what exactly do people think about some of my OC Derps. (Not the fan-derps.)
Note I actually have a lot more than I'm listing, but they've been inactive so long that I'm certain no-one would remember them.

Zergarikiaka - The Happy, Hyper, Random ball of hyperactivity.
Mar Sart - The shy genious.
Darkweaver - The Cursed Demon.
Laghodessa - The Fallen Angel/Murdered Doe.
Archelius - The Nomadic Necromancer.

Ok yeah, I don't know...

I'm going to be honest.

I've begun to feel... distant... from TEF lately.
As much as I love this place, I kind of am starting to feel left out in areas, and am losing interest.
I'm hardly ever even in forest anymore, and I hardly feel like it.

I don't know... Aside by the few people I run into in the 'dorkage' chat and by those who drop me a message once in a while... I feel almost forgotten.
Maybe it's time for a haitus. :/

Just... don't know.
