Season: Winter
Time: Late evening, becoming dawn. The sky is slowly lighting up, but it will still be a while before the sun actually begins to rise.
Setting: The forest is covered in thick snow, everywhere. The pond is a serene mirror of ice. We'll start there.
I decided to make this role play due to the lag in the game. I got kicked out a few times. :'D Oh well. Let's have fun with these settings, shall we? As for the title, interpret it as you please. This may even help you write out your response.
I will be using my main character,
Sabel.
Now let us see what type of tale we can spin.
-
The moon and stars were hardly visible, a soft pale hue painting the sky. It was a few hours away from dawn- the gentle purples and blacks becoming soft blues and grays. Dancing flakes of white were quietly falling and blanketing the world of pine needles and dead leaves below, the trees bare. And nearby, a lone figure was jumping around rather fondly on top of a very thick sheet of ice. Laughter echoed with the loud
clack of hooves upon the frozen pond, filling the air. Yet these were the only sounds available. No twittering of birds, no soft chirping of crickets or other bugs.
The world seemed mute. However, the dark blue and white creature leaping around on the ice appeared oblivious to it.
OOC: Ehehehehe... :'D well

The sudden spray of snow
Atiq was deceptively fast and decided he'd like to use that to his advantage and cause a little mischief. he veered off to the side of the others a bit, planning to dash up and flank Sabel to return the favor for the snow to the face he'd received.
Until he heard the sound of antler hitting wood, that is. He quickly skidded to a halt and followed the sound to his right, only to find Tochza had gotten an antler stuck in a low hanging branch. He quickly trotted over to the larger stag as he tried to twist and pull his way out.
"Oh dear...Aram shoo, easy. Try not to move," Atiq assauged as he eyed the offending branch. "My, that's really stuck there, isn't it?"
He took a step back, his sharp mind working quickly to find a solution to the puzzle. Atiq noted a tree quite close to the one Tochza was stuck in, if he could stick the landing juuuust right, then maybe...
"Alright, I've had an idea. But I'm going to need you to hold verrry still..."
OOC: Poor Tochza. The girl
-
Sabel had stopped short of the blue bowl when she had heard the familiar echo of tines against tree bark. Yes... just like when Tochza first appeared. Slowly, she turned around and crept behind a tree, curiously watching as Tochza struggled to free himself. Silly stag... he should have kept his head low. But he was new. He would learn. As much as she would enjoy teasing him about it, she doubted that he would enjoy any silly remarks. Atiq had stopped sooner than she, and was already investigating Tochza's situation to try and fix it. For a brief moment, she saw the smaller stag turn his head slightly to another tree. What was he scheming? Quietly, she trotted back towards the pair, but at a safe distance. She could sense that whatever Atiq was doing, he required space. She stood a few feet away from Tochza, giving him a rather apologetic smile. "I should have warned you about the lower branches... thought here is no remedying that now." Sabel said, leaning a bit to the side. She couldn't imagine how wracking it was for his antlers to be stuck in such a position. Her smile faded a little, and she silently waited for Atiq to free the larger stag. She was upright and alert, ears flicking at the slightest of sounds. her eyes were not longer focused on the pair, as she was listening for anything out of the ordinary.

Toch was fully embarrassed now, being found in such a vulnerable position. He half expected her to start tickling him, and was very grateful when she hadn't. So she does have a somewhat serious side when it comes to situations. Awesome. He held still for the smaller stag, a bit nervous about what he would attempt to do. He felt his frustration rise at being caught up, the tips of his tines beginning to glow just ever so slightly. 'No. I must stay in control. I'll be out of this soon. He's helping me.' he tried to reassure himself and keep himself in check. The check made sure his antler tips didn't get to their full glowing potential, only a dull glow. Noticeable in the darkness, but only just. "Yes. I'll have to be careful. We don't have trees where I come from. This was never an issue before."
OOC: Atiq - "IT'S OK I GOT
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sabel had backtracked through the still falling snow to the pair still at the tree, Atiq still sizing up the one next to Tochza. The other stag was unfortunately, just a little too much larger than himself to be able to just knock his antlers loose with his hooves. While finishing his mental calculations, his sharp eyes noticed the tips of the larger male's antlers glow, ever so slightly, and paused to see if they'd do anything further. When they didn't, Atiq decided to let the moment go, he'd seen stranger things anyhow.
He could feel both sets of eyes on him for a moment, and thought he should voice his thought process.
"I am going to use my full weight and momentum to break it." was his only explanation before rocking back on his hooves and launching himself towards the second tree. After a couple of long strides, his legs gathered and he sprang onto the trunk and quickly spun backwards off it, towards the other tree, bits of bark flying from where his sharp hooves connected. He twisted as he arched towards the limb ensnaring Tochza, aiming his shoulder to impact the branch. Atiq hit his mark with a clear snap of breaking wood, his momentum driving his weight down hard enough to break it. He tucked his feet to avoid hitting Tochza, positioning himself to roll with his momentum as he hit the ground. Atiq stood up seamlessly from the roll and looked back to see if he'd succeeded, and saw the limp branch fall from Tochza's antlers.
"See? No worries!" He smiled kindly back.
He suddenly winced a little as he discovered, for the second time tonight, he'd aggravated that damn shoulder again. Oh well, he mused, it was worth it this time and it would fade after awhile. When not handicapped by the snow, he could be quite athletic and swift, but the unfamiliar weather was now making him pay for it. Atiq tried to mask it as he mad his way back to the others.

Well, at least he's got the charming part down :'D

At the glow of the large stag's antlers, though slight, it sent shivers down Sabel's spine. If she could lose color in her already pale white complexion, she would have. She kept absolutely still. This feeling was familiar. Misfortune...pain...suffering... these were all listed from this feeling. But it went no further than that. She would not dismiss it, however, and eyed the stag carefully as Atiq leapt for the trunk of a nearby tree and used it as leverage, pushing off and flying at Tochza. The branch snapped, allowing Tochza to break away freely. "And to believe you needed my help with ice..." Sabel chuckled softly, replacing her rather forlorn look with that casually etched in smile. It remained, despite Atiq's wincing as she trotted over to investigate.
it was very tempting to try and heal his ailment. But she wasn't sure if that was what the little stag wanted. "That seems rather bothersome...." Sabel stated, coming to an abrupt stop in front of Atiq. She was eyeing the side of his body which had slackened, the movement becoming very restricted. Pain. "Would you like it treated?" the doe asked, curiously eyeing him up and down for any further injuries. Her eyes briefly glanced over at Tochza. Despite her earlier feelings, she directed a warm smile at him. No... if he was a danger, she would deal with him when he decided to be one. If she could. The stag was rather large compared to herself. But during this encounter, he seemed to be doing his best to keep the moment happy.

Sorry for the short post.
Atiq smiled at the concern
Whilst the other two spoke,
Her concern for Atiq remained, and she decided to ask one more time before allowing the two males to converse further. "...As I asked.... do you want me to treat it?" she repeatedly, although a little more urgently. She wanted a straight answer. Though she could not repair the scarred tissue, as that was a form of healing, she could repair the pain he was going through and what was still damaged underneath.

Sorry everyone, I was gone
Also his tines are all the same shade when nothing is going on. He only gets the bright tips if he starts losing control of his emotions.

Tochza nodded, and probably would have smiled if he had been normal. "Thank you. Yes, I'm fine." He had a small headache from the pull on his head, but it would vanish shortly. He stood by while Sabel tried playing nurse, finding it amusing how the two of them were together. Of course his amusement wouldn't show. Instead he stood watch, waiting for them to be ready to get back on the move. A dull blue was showing between the trees now as the light in the sky got brighter, even in spite of the snowfall.

Atiq looked satisfied that the larger stag was fine, he understood how annoying and sometimes stressful it was to get tangled up in branches. Sabel's sudden, urgent tone surprised him however, voice wavering. "I-I...um...sure, go ahead..." he said softly, turning the offending shoulder towards her with another slight wince, shifting his weight off of it. He was not used to accepting help from others that often, and he appeared a little embarrassed at the close attention he was receiving for the second time that night.

Her smile widened a little at Tochza's response. A little less to worry about, the supposed. Her tail remained on his back, as if still confirming he was there. It was a little of her clingyness showing, not that she minded. The doe bent down further and come within Atiq's personal space. She could see his shifty gaze, his body betraying that he was rather prideful about something. About... this? Upon closer inspection, she could see that the scar along his shoulder was rather old. it had been ailing him for quite some time. But it was not something that couldn't be remedied. For a moment, she lifted her head away from him and looked up to the sky, closing her eyes. Her hair began to waver slightly, fluidly- as if she were underwater. And a bright, white glow was emanating from her forehead. A low, sharp whistling sound pierced the air for a brief second, and the white light cleared- to show a long, thin and sturdy unicorn horn. Abruptly, she leaned back down and gently allowed it to hover above the scarred skin on Atiq's shoulder. Another soft white light began to fade into existence. And with it came relief- bliss. Tender warmth. What was broken beneath the skin was healing.
After a few moments, the doe pulled away, some of the white light trailing after her horn. She gave Atiq a relieved expression, her smile returning after all of that concentration. As soon as it did, however, the horn atop her head shattered into particles of light. "Thank you. I needed that."
Gentle blues and pale purples were becoming radiant, bright reds. The rays of the sun were peeking over the edge of the forest a little more prominently now- almost eager to bathe the world in light, chasing away the dark of the night. Stars were barely visible in the sky anymore, clouds covering and replacing them.

Haha! Don't worry about it.

He felt her tail on him, and for once, didn't mind. He was typically picky about his personal space, but she had special clearance, and he didn't know why. He didn't question himself about it either.
But then maybe he didn't have to.
She was magnificent. His eyes watched in amazement as she worked her magic on Atiq, realizing her horn was made of magic rather than bone like his' were. The way her hair flowed about her with her power, the light illuminating them. It was all stunning. SHE was stunning. He knew even more now that he just had to find a way to speak with her in private. She was probably the only one who could help him.
Tochza stayed silent even after it was all done, not sure of what to say and not one to truly give praise or compliments.
Atiq waited calmly for Sabel
"I believe that has done the trick, miss Sabel, thank you very much," Atiq humbly inclined his head even as a warm smile appeared. He straightened himself again, his stance more solid with the damage repaired, " You are quite a spectacle of a doe," he winked at her, his playfulness beginning to show now as well. It had been quite awhile since he'd felt so jovial and calm, since he'd spent any amount of time just hanging out with friendly faces. He'd forgotten how much he'd missed this, how much he missed the laughter and the warmth.
Politely, the doe gave Atiq a

As Sabel and Tochza raced off
Atiq flashed a playful grin at the doe as he cut in front of her as she circled a tree, sending a little snow her way (he still hadn't forgotten he owed her that), and circled back to Tochza and behind him, before surging forward once more. He repeated this process, weaving between, behind and in front of his companions as well as deftly maneuvering around the trees, as if he were the string tying them all together.

The gold and blue blitz of fur that was Atiq was weaving and dodging through the trees so effortlessly that it made Sabel feel as if he could rival her own knowledge of the forest. granted she had forgotten wuite a few years of it, but she still knew it extremely well. As the stag sent a wave of snow her way, she rather happily jumped into a through it- covering herself in it. She continued to run, watching rather entrancedly as her weaved back and forth between herself and Tochza- who was now going at a slower pace, being mindful of his antlers. 'Let's see how good you are at hide and seek.' the ebony and white doe thought to herself, a cheeky grin etching its way onto her face. They'd reached it- the location she wanted. Feeling the very edge of the blue bowl under the snow, she sprang with all of her might to get enough air. The sunlight peeking over the trees allowed her mid-air body a glimmer, a glow- before she promptly landed in the deep snow and vanished from sight. Sure, they might be able to find the hole if they could jump or walk far enough to it. But otherwise she was pretty well hidden. She was giggling rather mischievously under her little hiding place in the snow, burrowing through it to hide a little deeper.
