I started this a loooong time ago. It's more like an experiment and it's still a wip I think (I'm not happy with all the white in the background). I'd like to colour it some day.
Not sure if I'll actually finish it, though. It killed two ball-pens.
I really... really wish I could do this myself. It's so beautiful, and the lines are great. I'm really amazed you managed not to smudge.
I'd love to see it finished, too...
Fly: Thank you. I hope there'll be a final result. The final version is in my head but I have to see if I'll be able to transfer it to paper.
FishBiscuit: Ah you remember the first picture without the enviroment? Haha, you've got a point: r.i.p. my brave ball-pens. Your work shall be honoured. ;_;
rblackwell: Thank you. c:
Lung: Thanks. I'm actually quite curious to see it coloured. The colour scheme's already in my head. Maybe I'll work with a copy of the original.
Bee: Oh my, thanks. I don't take commissions but I'd be open for some art trade. <3
Meadow & Spirituelle: Thank you for your words. I appreciate them very much. c:
thelittleraven: Thank you for your comment. The thing I struggled the most with was to actually finish the whole thing. Some days I'd only draw a few lines. I think you just need a lot of patience. Don't rush things and you won't have problems with smudging or unclean lines.
ChewbaccaBigSis: That's an interesting interpretation of this style. I like it quite a lot. Thank you. <3
Woow! So much detail, and your lines are so straight.. I'd be wobbly all over. The white in the bg isn't bad, leaves for some contrast. Perhaps if you'd try to cover that too it'd become too crowded? But this looks great!
Mis: Thank you. I see what you mean talking about an too crowded background. I've thought about this as well. Maybe I'll just fill that space with colour... without drawing more trees or other stuff. But the white... I just really don't like it. xD
Dat detail.
Yes i can see how that had killed pens... totally justified, though.
Really awesome... i actually would take it like this already, it has great atmosphere even without color. I really like the contrast between white space and filled areas... great piece~
I totally like this style because its different! It reminds me of these pictures which are sometimes at very old or antic books (like "Holzschnitt" - dont know the english word for it).
You must finish it ....it is
It got even prettier! Finish
