The Twin Gods. Two divine entities peacefully reigning over The Endless Forest. They take decisions. They make choices about the future of some of the creatures living in their world. They never say why. The creatures have to find out the reason of their fate. Of why they have been brought into this place while they belonged elsewhere.
The Twin Gods. Two beings, one mystery. They are nowhere to be seen. But they are here. They are watching. They are listening. They are taking care of us. They know what would be best for us. They know everything about our life. Yes, they know.
The Twin Gods. The two most powerful spirits of this world. Not just they bring creatures from other worlds to theirs when necessary and allow them to procreate, but create their own children from their own hooves and magic as well.
The One and The Other discuss about...a topic.
What is it? Is it about something? Is it about someone?
Yes, it is about someone.
The Other and The One discuss about their appearance.
How will they be? Will they be colorful? Will they be unicolored?
You'll see, you'll see.
The One and The Other discuss about their gender.
What will they be? Will they be a girl? Will they be a boy?
Maybe, maybe.
The Other and The One discuss about their fate.
How will it be? Will it be tragic? Will it be wonderful?
Perhaps, perhaps, we shall see.
The Twin Gods decide about their name.
What is it? What is it? What is it?
This will be up to The Endless Forest.
Something appears in the grass, dropped off by the divines.
A small creature, peacefully asleep, at the heart of the Forest.
With a long mask lying next to them.
They left them all alone.
Why?
Because they trust you.
Take good care of them.

The small bundle almost went
With a graceful action, Abhiri raised her head to look about in a second attempt to scope out the child's possible parents but found none close by.
She ducked her head down, nosed the thin layer of snow off the child and breathed, "I'll be right back, chhota bachcha*."
The young one would have felt her presence depart for a few long moments before returning swiftly to its side. A pale green cape is draped tenderly over its form and the surrounding snow cleared away. A warm, large and golden form settles beside it.
"I'll keep you warm for now."

The child felt her return with joy. Being with someone was way better than being alone. However, they also felt something covering their body. They had no idea what it was, and they could not know. But it was warming them. And it made them happy and reassured. So many feelings they just discovered, but so many of them were very pleasant to feel.

The Copperheart approached
After a few short moments, Naoki sat herself down beside the fawn in hopes that that way she'd give it warmth. At least until the mother arrived... "I will watch over you for now," she whispered quietly, as if not to disturb the fawn too much.
RIP she was doing this up until TEF kept dumping my connection x_xOh, hello Mahj! ♥
@SingaReindeer:
The little one remained calm and quiet as the new stranger sat beside them, soothed by her voice, hoping that she would stay with them for a very long time.
He approaches, as always,
The motions with which he moves himself nearer are confident, in his own way, unmarred by fear despite having been seen off the last time he tried to peer at fawns--lessons are learned slowly it seems, if at all. And whilst he takes note of the other adults about the child, he pays them only the softest heed as he makes his way close to settle down. Powdery puffs of snow kept at bay by multiple bodies are warmer than one or two.
Tenderly, his face is lowered upon long, gracile neck, gently, a kiss is pressed to the child's head.
And then, he is still, save for the up and down lilt of his breathing.
Peaceful.

The little god approached
There was a new life in the Forest.
The fawn was still, which startled Aurus. He did not know why; he had never seen a fawn this young before, but a gut feeling told him they were supposed to move. It seemed the most natural thing for a fawn to do.
Aurus crept a little closer, confident that the fawn wouldn't make any sudden movements. "H... Hello-oh!" He managed to hiccup out a greeting, hoping the fawn was at least aware of his presence. It didn't feel good to look at it, unmoving and unresponsive. Something deep inside him churned. But a little light of hope spread up from his centre, into his heart, and shone through his swirling eyes. Wake up, little one, said the strange voice inside him; the voice given to him by that warm embrace. You have friends here.

He hopped and paced for a moment, thinking hard with his little rabbit mind. There were deer here too, giving gifts to the child, some simply watching and protecting. Perhaps, if he figured out what to do, they could help him. Hello, hello! You can hear me. Aurus shuffled a little closer. What should I do?
The newborn felt weird yet
Abhiri's watchful gaze lifted
It was time to leave - it seemed to be well protected and cared for now amidst their warm bodies and though it still had not moved, she felt that it was better off than when she had seen it before. But first - the hind bent down to nudge the mask closer to the child so that it was nestled comfortably next to it. There.
With a fluid motion, Abhiri stood up and shook the snow from her back. With a soft nod to the surrounding beings, the hind made as if to leave or at least, observe from a further distance.
Thank you, Tuo and Kohva!
The newborn felt her moving
A doe left, and Aurus shifted
You can make noise. Aurus hopped closer, closer until his nose touched the fawn's flesh. That means you can move something. What is stopping you... I wonder. He concentrated hard on the fawn, on its legs, but it seemed he could do nothing by himself. Why would the Gods restrain a newborn? And it was fate's betrayal that Aurus nor the fawn could rally the others around them without great effort. Can try.
"He-elp, this!" Aurus called. To emphasise his point, he ruffled his fur and thumped both feet, once or twice, gesturing to the fawn. "No m-move!"
She pauses in her movement,
The small, piping voice of the... rabbit? Abhiri blinks. Ok, the rabbit. A clear plea for help is given. Perhaps the small brown being was some kind of guardian to the child?
The golden hind turns and makes her way back to the gathering with a concerned expression. So it could not move on its own? With a sideways glance to the brown, swirled doe beside the young one (perhaps she would join in?) Abhiri shoveled the bridge of her nose beneath the child and tried to gently push it into an upright position.
Thank you, Tuo and Kohva!

The golden yellow and dark red-striped child made a small leap of happiness. They tried to speak but the only thing that came form their mouth was silence. It was too soon for them to know how to use their vocal cords. Thank you, they said in their head instead. The rabbit would probably pass it on to the female. However, their joy quickly turned into fear. They bent with their ears lowered, attempting to look around. they realized that there was still another problem they forgot to pay attention to and which was making them panic. Their eyes were closed but maybe, like for speaking, they were still too new to this world for them to open them. I see not!
(thanks for this opportunity
The hyena happened upon the small child by chance as she paced through the area. At first she wondered if the creature may have succumbed to the elements, laying motionless in the snow as it was. But as she drew closer she realized it was very much alive.
For a good while Rhea simply leaned herself up against a nearby tree and simply watched. She waited for some creature to come by and claim the child, or for the small creature to stir, but all was quite.
After a little while of standing guard, the hyena moved closer and stretched her neck down. She'd give the creature a curious sniff and perhaps a gentle bump with her snout. Then, carefully she positioned herself to stand over the child, making herself a shelter for them from the elements.
No words were spoken, no explanation given as to why the female had chosen to stand as sentry over the child. Silently she had decided in her own mind to be a quiet watcher until another came to visit or claim them.
(Glad it helps you somehow,
The human-faced child felt protected with the stranger standing over them, sheltering them from the small cold things that were falling on them. According to some conversations they heard from other strangers passing by, it was called "snow". Everybody around here seemed to like it, or the majority at least. But why? It was so cold, why would we like it? Yet the child could not see anything. Perhaps they liked snow because it was beautiful?
Whatever. Right now it was very cold and having someone to protect them from it was really pleasant.
"Thank you," Aurus said,
You can move now. But you can't see... Aurus thought again. What would make them see? What opens eyes? Aurus considered describing the Forest to them as best he could, but what use would that be if they had never opened their eyes since birth? I don't know, he said softly. Maybe someone else can help again... or maybe there's magic on you that we can rub off?
Ma...magic?, repeated the
Still trembling, the newborn instinctively moved closer to the female, for it was the closest warm source of comfort they had. Not knowing where they were made them panic inside, but they tried to remain as calm as possible.
