The winged child takes a seat next to the masked fawn before beginning to shuffle apprehensively closer, as if shy. Levant knows it’s rude to stare but he can’t help being intrigued by the being beside him, gawking at them rather obviously. His own eyes are drawn to his company's pair of antlers which he remains mesmerized by. “I haven’t... M’ name’s Levant.” The boy stops then starts up again, remembering to introduce himself properly before throwing a barrage of questions at the fawn. His raspy little voice although quiet is filled with curiosity. “I haven’t ever seen someone wi’ eyes like that. Is that how you see?” A gentle smile creeps across his face as he once again dares to sit a little closer, leaning his head curiously. “What’s your name?” He doesn’t know if the other child can speak or even understand the meaning of his words but he decides there's no harm in trying.
Thank you! ♥
Absolutely not! Though, I should probably precise that they don't actually have antlers, but a second pair of eyes on the forehead instead, since they're still too young for them. ^-^

The gold and dark red fawn lets the new face come closer, not minding his curiosity at all. They smiles back, but that cannot be seen through their mask. A chuckle slips out of their mouth, amused by the winged child who nearly asked his question before introducing himself. They are not surprised by this, understanding that their eyes on the forehead might not be something you would see everyday, from what they have seen.
The masked fawn is more of the silent type, not really used to be addressed to. As a matter of fact, they do not remember when they had spoken out loud. However, they do not want to leave Levant's questions unanswered. "I do not have a name." They reply with a voice which slightly sounds like a whisper. "But I knew a grown-up who used to call me 'Panoptès'." Introductions made, they answer his other question. "Yes. This is how I see. I have eyes like you, too. But they are hidden by the mask. So I use the ones between my ears."
Aaa whoops sorry! I assumed the description on the bio meant they had a smaller version of their adult antlers that were made up of one pair of eyes. But no bother at all, my mistake!
...
"So your parents didn't give you a name then?" He asks, confusion evident in his tone. He can't fathom a reason as to why someone would lack one entirely. Perhaps the other once had a name and forgot it? It's the only idea Levant's mind can create. His brows knit together in concentration as he runs the name over his tongue, mouthing out each syllable until he produces a rocky attempt at the others name. "Pan-op-tès."
"I've never seen someone wi' more than one pair of eyes before," He comments in unrestrained wonder as the forest continues to overwhelm him with new sights and experiences. Momentarily he stares out into the forest's endless distance, a slightly unsure expression on his face, before coming to face Panoptès again. "This place is strange, it's hard to get used to somewhere where everythin' is different."
Haha, don't worry about that, I understand~

"Parents?" Without really asking, they show confusion. They do not remember having parents. All they knew is that they appeared in the Forest all alone, without being able to move at first. Some strangers came, including a doe who gave them a cape to protect them from the cold, and a rabbit with whom they could communicate telepathically. They do not think about telling Levant however.
The masked fawn smiles again while the winged one was trying to pronounce the name Ludwig had once given them. "Oh, so you are not from here, they conclude, following a brief moment of confusion. I can imagine how it could be, even though I was born here and never truly left." However, out of curiosity, after realizing what was just said, they cannot help but to ask: "Where are you from? Can we really come into the Forest from a different world?" The fawn is a bit lost.
"Yeah, like your mother and your father..." Levant suggests but trails off as he suddenly realises it might be a dangerous topic to pursue. There is a somber look in his eye and he stares off at the ground for a few moments before shaking his head to clear whatever thoughts are troubling him before he continues on.
"You've never lef' here?" He repeats. While this strange world is a place of solace for the child he couldn't imagine staying here permanently. He'd miss seeing the stars and the moon, being able to travel to unfamiliar places and sitting and watching the rain fall with a roof over his head. While he does feel sympathetic for his company this feeling is lessened as he thinks deeper into the situation; they can't miss anything they've never experienced, at least from his point of view. "Well I live in a place called Krossa which is different from the forest... And I did, my guardian brought me here. I don't remember everythin' she said but she talked about weak-places between the worlds where we could go through. She brought me through one of them into here and I can go home whenever I like... Usually I wait for her to come and collect me though..."
Noticing the winged child's expression, the masked one suddenly feels that it would be a bad idea to let him know that they have no family. In the other hand, maybe it would be better if he knew. In reality, they always wanted to have parents, or even a sibling. But...what if Levant thinks that they do have one and so that they do not need another? They are hesitant, unsure of what to do. Although they listened to him until he would have finished first.
"Krossa? Guardian?, they repeated, a little puzzled. That must be interesting. I wish I could go there and see. Not that I am bored of the Forest, though. I love it here. But I cannot believe there are other worlds!" They have never been anywhere else in the universe, nor did they knew about different worlds. Since they have no guidance and nobody told them about anything outside the Forest.
"Hum..." After a long pause, they finally decides to tell them. Even if it would be sad to hear, maybe it indeed would be better for Levant to know the truth. "I... have nobody." They admits.
Despite their age and no guide, they seem to be more mature and aware than they look like. They could not tell the same about the other children, however, as they have rarely made contact with anyone of their age. But they know there are consequences to every action and word, and they hopes that it would not affect the winged fawn too much, seeing how he reacted upon mentioning parents.
"Krossa," He nods. "I can't even compare it to th' forest but almost everything's different there, I should bring you some picture so you can see it! And my guardian, that's Elgin, she looks after me. She's like a Mother to me... although we aren't really related."
At first he isn't sure what to say to Panoptès and the statement itself does make him slightly upset, his ears twitching through discomfort. However still he tries and he takes a few moments filled with silence and gentle contemplation to create a response laden with all the sensitivity he can muster. He just hopes that it shows through to the other. When Levant does finally begin he speaks slowly and pauses slightly after every sentence so he doesn't stumble and say the wrong thing. "Maybe you don't have a Mother or a Father but that doesn't mean you've got no-one." Levant starts gingerly, watching for signs of a reaction although it's hard to tell due to their concealed face. "The adult who gave you your name and whoever it was tha' gave you your mask, you had them at one point. Maybe you don't have them now but things are always changing aren't they?"
"After all something changed today didn't it, you've got me now?" There is grin, innocent and childlike. "I don't know a lot of thing's but it took me to find the people who loved me. It didn't matter that I had to wait years to find them but I found them in the end and that's what matters t' me."
They listens to Levant attentively. Their secondary eyes look at him without really doing so. They feel touched by his words, albeit they are still feeling lonely. However, they know he is right. Everything changes. But in the way, there will always be someone loving and caring about them. They like the winged one's smile. Something about it is making them feel warm inside, just like the words.
"Th...thank you. I truly appreciate it. They reply. I suppose I am still a little scared to be left alone. But what you are saying helps me." However, there is something that makes her wonder. "You know, I have no idea who gave me the mask. I have it since I was born and...nobody was around at the time. At least, not from what I remember." They remove their mask, revealing their face as the eyes on their forehead close. There is a mix of sadness and confusion in their look. "I have heard about 'twin gods'. I am not sure if it is related in any way but... I just wish I could find the answers I need. There are some many questions I have in mind..."
After a moment of pondering, they suddenly ask with worry: "If you leave... Will you come back?"
Levant's glad his words could help Panoptès even just a little bit, it's nice to know that someone can find value in them. He knows the pain in loneliness and can't help but empathize, so for that he silently promises to be there for the other child when he can. Seeing them remove their mask for the first time in their meeting evokes surprise from Levant and his eyes curiously observe the other, familiarizing himself with their face. He notes that the sadness in their words is painted across their face as well as their words but for now the winged child continues to listen carefully until he can offer a reply.
The term 'twin gods' is unfamiliar to him and he sadly realises he has nothing to offer that could help Panoptès in their search nor in their understanding. Instead Levant turns to what he knows he can at least offer: reassurance. "Well I think you'll be able to find the answers you need, maybe you don' know them now because it isn't the right time to know them. I don' think anyone should give up searching for the answers they want to find but maybe if you wait for a bi' things might jus' become clearer with time."
"I'll come back," he promises, his words stated with an unwavering certainty.
I don't think there is need for other replies to this rp after you will have replied to this one, so...
They were happy to discuss with Levant. Thank you for the interaction and company that day! Hope to see yu in-forest again soon. ♥

The gold and dark red fawn wags their tail, satisfied of Levant's reply. It feels good to have someone to talk to. Someone that knows what to say. At least, the winged one seems so. They now feel more confident about the future. "Thank you, I'll be waiting for you then." They simply whisper, before putting their mask back on. They move a little closer to the other child, with their secondary eyes still closed, as they relish this moment with their new friend.
Yeah I think here's a nice a place to finish up,
Lev enjoyed their talk too, and likewise, looking forward to meeting them again! ♥

Levant doesn't reply verbally but instead happily nods and watches Panoptès place their mask back on. How strange it must be, the boy wonders, to have so many unanswered questions but he hopes with all his heart they find what they're looking for soon.
Levant wraps his tail around his body and remains content to sit there with the other for however long it is until he quietly bids goodbye and leaves with the promise of returning still lingering in the air.

Thank you all!
Wasn't expecting this sudden burst of comments.
