AS YOU WISH, DARLING. |: UUUH
UUUH I'll start if you tell me where Rhye could be 8D
HMMM. A fancy cafe. YES
A fancy cafe.
YES INDEEDY.
[ ...K. ] It'd be dark soon,
It'd be dark soon, he thought. Well, not soon, but in several hours. That wasn't really soon, was it? Rhye frowned briefly at himself, gaze fixed on the plate infront of him. When had he ordered croissants? Or hot chocolate? Maybe he'd been half-asleep. Maybe he had a memory problem.
Maybe he was just really distracted by people. And there were people, certainly, of all kinds; families, couples, parents with children. It seemed he was the only one alone. Rhye chewed the inside of his cheek, leaning awkwardly on the chair he was sitting on, one leg over the other. He wondered if people were staring at him. Maybe. It would be his clothes, of course. Poet's shirt. Leggings. Boots. Long hair. Oh well. He'd never been fashionable and had never given a damn what people thought of his appearance, and wasn't about to start.
Maybe he should just go home already. Rhye sighed and chewed on a croissant, staring out of the cafe window. Ooh, people. A few pretty ones. A few builder-type guys. Ew.
Rhye glanced away paranoidly, then back to the window.
[ /FAIL ]
(NOT FAIL D': I love him.
Oh dear. Oh gosh. Oh dear. So many people! Olay gasped when she walked into her favorite little cafe. There were simply never this many people here! That was why she loved it so much. It was a great place to study for exams and sip coffee as she did so. That, and it was in walking distance of her university.
She ordered her coffee black, like always, and looked around for a place where she could be... relatively alone. She held a bunch of books to her chest, all study materials and scanned the room.
Her hair was red, not the fake kind of red. But a natural born red. Red hair ran in her family, and she loved how inque it made her look. Her clothes were normal for a typical college student, but a little poor looking. She didn't have much money at the moment. She was also a little chubby, another thing that made her self-esteem a bit low. She noticed a lone man sitting at one of the tables and, very shyly walked up to him. After all, it was really the only free seat left.
"Um... I-Is it okay if I sit here?" she asked softly, the wooden rosary around her neck swinging from side to side.
I would love to human rp him
GingerNut Perhaps he had an
Perhaps he had an eye for uniqueness, but when the red-haired figure walked in, Rhye's gaze was drawn to her for several seconds before he looked away. Red hair. Proper red hair. Not something you saw every day, usually. He returned to looking out of the window, nibbling absent-mindedly at the croissant he was holding. Rhye glanced back to the plate. Four left.
He then looked up in surprise as someone spoke - and lo and behold, it was the redhead from about ten seconds ago! Rhye's gold eyes studied her curiously, momentarily lingering on the thing around her neck. What was it? A rosary, maybe? Was that its name? He couldn't remember. Probably.
Rhye wasn't too used to being approached in a friendly manner. He blinked a few times, pushing his hair away from his face, then realised he should probably answer her question.
"Oh, uh. Yeah, go ahead." He flipped a hand to the chair opposite him, then relaxed again, sipping at the mug of hot chocolate. "It's a bit full, mm?"
Faunet
[ SHOOR Could you please start? <3 Or I can, really, if you tell me where Rhye could be xD ]
They could be at the theater
(Hot chocolate... xD He's so
She sighed as she unloaded her myriad load of books onto the table, A few stray papers drifting off of the top and settling on his plate. She quickly grabbed it and shoved it in one of the books, flushing in embarassment. "Oh my goodness! I'm so so sorry! They're probably dirty now. I'm sorry. Do you want me to buy you some more? I..." she fumbled her hands around and clumsily placed her full cup of coffee onto the last tiny free space on the table, some or it spilling onto it's saucer.
"I'm so clumsy... Always tripping over my feet..." she finally sat down and peeked over her pile of books at him, quickly taking them off again and setting them on the floor, suddenly finding herself a bit rude.
"I'm Olay." she held out a hand, a sad little smile on her lips. "It is full, isn't it? I'm not used to being around so many people at once." she nodded to herself.
GingerNut He could only
He could only watch in amusement as the woman fumbled around, nearly spilled her coffee, and then eventually settled. Rhye just laughed for the most part, eyes dancing. "Ruin my croissants, why don't you," he teased, then shook his head and gripped Olay's hand briefly. "Nah I'm kidding I don't mind. Rhye, I'm Rhye." He let go of her hand, leaning back. "What's with all the books and st--is that black coffee?" He frowned deeply.
Faunet
He wondered if he was supposed to be there. It was very dark, wasn't it, he thought, and very empty too? Rhye peered around the enormous room, eyes wide. He looked back at the ticket he was holding.
Fuck.
Not only was it the wrong place, but it was also the wrong day.
Shiiiit.
"Uh, hello?!"
His voice echoed off of the walls.
[ LOL Rhye got lost 8'D I don't even know. ]
She lightly picked up the mug
"Oh! Yeah, It keeps me awake better, you know. Finals are coming up, and I really need to get some good marks. I've been studying non-stop." she giggled nervously and looked him over. Olay was the kind of person who didn't judge a book by it's cover. Besides, he was rather charming looking.
"Rhye? That's a pretty name..." she sighed sadly. "My parents just named me and all my siblings after lotion brands. They weren't as creative as your's." she cupped a hand to her mouth and laughed softly.
GingerNut Rhye made a face
Rhye made a face of mock-disgust as she explained why she drank black coffee, shaking his head. "Take a break, dear," he suggested, then waited and smiled. "Olay is also pretty, you know. Makes me think of honey and milk." A faint frown creased his face. "Speaking of honey, what are you doing at er...college, university, whatever it is?" Rhye tilted his head curiously, then sipped at his hot chocolate again.
Josophine was wondering
Faunet Rhye jolted in
Rhye jolted in surprise, now pressed against a wall. "Uh, yeah, I'm kinda lost?! Where are you?"
She followed the voice which
She almost seemed to droop at
"Oh, thank you. There are so many other... normal names out there that I'd rather have, y'know? (she slipped back into Yorker) but ya have to be happy with watch ya get..."
Her whole being seemed to glimmer when the man infront of her seemed mildly interested in her work. "University, yes. My major is in zoology. Minor in biology." she bent down and dug through her books, and picked out one textbook in particular. "I've been studying one animal in particular. The ornithorhynchus anatinus" she flipped through the book. "Or platypi, as most call them."
Faunet Gold eyes shone in
Gold eyes shone in the dark as he made his way clumsily towards the source of the voice. Rhye could make out a figure there. "...Hi?"
GingerNut
Ooh, a New Yorker? There were traces of the accent in her voice. Maybe she'd lived there and had only moved recently. He didn't know. Of course.
"The what? Platypus, right?" He blinked a few times, then chuckled. "Must be interesting. You should get out and make friends by the way, if you're bored. Studying so much can't be good for you...why do platypus..platypuses...platypi lay eggs?" Rhye tilted his head, then leaned both elbows on the table, gazing at Olay interestedly.
Hello she whispered warmly
She smiled sadly at him.
She suddenly stopped and stared at him with a guilty look on her face. "Oh... Did I talk too much? I'm sorry... Please, tell me about yourself. Are you out of college, already? Or are you still attending? Honestly, I can't tell." she giggled and and shifted in her seat, casually glancing out the window before turning to him.
