La's second day in The Endless Forest focused heavily on exploration, particularly because she feels strongly that there is a mystery about them. La, being an inexperienced fawn, was distracted from her investigative duties only a few times.
The first interesting thing that La encountered was an area with small rocks sticking out of the ground. The air was stale, but she was able to ignore that because of a rock with a picture. She did not recognize what it was a picture of, but felt that it was a powerful symbol worthy of her respect.
She found a half-circle of stones next. Among the flattish stones on the ground were three taller ones with faces that vaguely resembled her own. However, she was relatively certain that they were not statues of deer.
She made the decision to hang near to The Ruins until she grows up a bit more.
I enjoy life greatly.
I can think of very few animals with binocular vision that don't partake in the noming of other beings, and the few that I can think of use it for judging distances when climbing trees or flying. There is no real answer to this or anything...it was just interesting and I thought I'd share the question.
