Strange glitches I've heard of..

Well, as you all know, I'm still sorta new.. and I would like to hear of strange glitches, and hacking that people have done over the past few years.

I've heard of a few: Devout glitch (I'm eager to get that working, since Lani is meant to be albino), antlerless glitch (VERY eager to know but I won't use all the time if I find out), I've heard of the BAN pelt (looks awesome), and.. well thats about it.

I also wanted to know if the deermuda myth is true. I have sat there for a while before and nothing happened...

The antler-less hack and the

The antler-less hack and the pelt hacks are strictly off limits.
I don't mean to sound rude, but don't ask for those ones- no one is allowed to have them anymore.
Summarizing an entire boiling cauldron of the ordeal- Michael and Auriea have threatened to shut down the server if they find anymore people messing with the files.

As for permadevout, you'll have to ask another member, as I'm not entire positive how that happens. I've only gotten it to stick one and I had no clue what I had done to get it.

Ahh ok. I never really wanted those glitches... I like the pelts we already have. As for antlers, the stubby doe antlers are just fine.

I have tried making permadevout work, but it never does. I tried sneezing off all my pelts.. do you have to sneeze off antlers and masks aswell?

Sneeze off all pelts. Pray,

Sneeze off all pelts.
Pray, press esc. once devout is acquired and click 'network' and 'disconnect'. Stand up before it starts to reconnect and start to move around. Keep moving until it's connected, again, and pictos collect.

May take several tries to get right.

No, I believe it's only the pelts that you need to sneeze off. After you get them all off, I think it has something to do with bowing to the Gods' Statues and then disconnecting. Not entirely sure, you may want to check that out on the forum.

As for the BAN pelt, the only way to obtain it is by being online when one of the Gods is online and casts a pelt spell on you or in an ABIO if a God casts it on you. Unfortunately, it disappears when you exit the game, sorta like the Crying Idol pelt and the Permadevout.

Yeah, I have heard of the gods casting that spell on you. But I know its against the rules to HACK and actually KEEP it. It would make people jealous..

Thankyou for the answer for permadevout, Starcreep. I'll give it a few more tries. If I can't get it, I'll just go with the real deer pelt!!

You can also [and only you] see the BAN pelt on your deer if you run a pre-3.1 TEF and have your deer wear the zombie pelt. :3

Oooh that sounds

Oooh that sounds interesting.. but I'm more into the devout pelt, as my deer is meant to be albino.

I'm just confused about something.. why aren't the gods mad about us making the devout pelt stick when they made it so it doesn't, but they are mad about us wearing special secret pelts and using the antlerless glitch? I'm not supporting the "Lets hack the game!" idea, but I just want to know..

Permadevout isn't messing

Permadevout isn't messing with the game's files. Hacking to get the God's pelts/antlers ect. messes with the games files and can also alter your game and render it unplayable.

Permadevout is a harmless glitch ^^

Tinkering with the files

Tinkering with the files means editing HEX codes to acquire pelts and masks only the gods can bestow or wear. It's very much like taking their efforts and the specialness of those spells for granted. (not to mention the fact that editing these files could possibly ruin your game and not everyone know how to do this correctly.)

The Devout is just an exploitable GLITCH, not at all hacking, and is obtainable through normal play. It's not much different from using an older version of the game to grant minideer pelts. An exploited glitch that's harmless.
