So I see these quite a bit around the site, that people have made - places where you can ask a deer something, or have a spot of roleplay, or any kind of interaction, and since I don't have access to an IM, I thought this might be a good place to have a roleplay or two or meetings between deer :>
Please feel free to drop by and leave a message, or strike up a conversation. Whyss can usually be found hiding behind a tree and listening in on someone else's conversation somewhere; Garzim is a Ruins sort of fellow; Malicious prefers to loiter by the Pond, but carefully just out of reach of Crocodile's long jaws; and Empty Child and Shoe can be found just about anywhere!
Id like to ask about "The
All concerning the empty child
where did you get the idea for such a character concept?
why was it given such a title/name?
is there anything interesting such as an event that will include it?
do you and the empty child share anything ex: character traits, common quotes, habits, personallity, the way it talks, etc.?
sorry if these questions are boreing, ive been going on around the site looking for blogs like this since id like to get to know other people's deer from upclose.
Whyss: N smiles, ears
N smiles, ears twitching to catch a minute sound. He turns his head in the direction, still grinning, then taps softly towards the spot, stopping a few feet away from the creature.
Such a little thing Whyss was, really. Poor thing didn't deserve the nightmares he got.
N sighs, then calls out softly. His emotions could be read clearly: Little one...It has been too long.
He waits for the other to answer, hoping he's not alarming the poor creature.

Another boring day...another boring night. The queen thought to herself, allowing her disappointment to affect her usually-perfect walking gait. She dragged her limbs slightly with each step.
What does it take to get a little action around here?...Do I have to kill someone? She tapped a small pebble with a hoof and sent it flying. The yokai sighed as she made her way to the pond to quench her thirst. She saw a doe, lounging by one of the several willow trees that surrounded the pond.
She couldn't help but flick her ears forward in curiosity. The queen did not let her stance faulter, and made her way to the pond, lapping up the cold, refreshing water until she was satisfied. She licked her lips and sat down, not too far from the stranger doe.
"I can see that I'm not the only night owl around here." She muttered, her head still facing the pond.
They're not boring at all! In
where did you get the idea for such a character concept? The Empty Child is based off of a character from the first season of the new Doctor Who series, a sci-fi show by BBC.
why was it given such a title/name? In the episode, a child wearing a gas mask in the London blitz was brought back to life by tiny robotic doctors called Nanites, who had never encountered a human before and so brought him back broken and empty - living, but not having any proper use of organs.
is there anything interesting such as an event that will include it? Probably not, as he's poor social company, but there might be roleplays in the future if anyone decides they like him enough.
do you and the empty child share anything ex: character traits, common quotes, habits, personallity, the way it talks, etc.? Gas masks. I love them. He wears one. xD
@Ocean Whyss had been
Whyss had been closely monitoring the greeting of two loud, bounding fawns. The two had been scattering all over the forest with no apparent rhyme or reason, and had suddenly just decided to meet up. They sniffed each other - and that was as far as Whyss saw before he heard large hooves coming close.
They were a slow, steady step, and his large ears swiveled to track the sound. He paused a moment, confused, as he felt none of the usual, pulsating throb that signaled the coming of a pictogram.
He realized why this must be just as the Nameless deer called out to him.
Startling a little, his head swung round, instantly forgetting the two fawns, and his blue eyes landed on the tall, stately stag. Brightening, he went to the Nameless, touching noses with the bigger deer, bearing the largest smile he'd worn since...
Hm.
His tail curled about his feet shyly, and he put his head against the Nameless' chest, beaming, ears relaxed. I'm glad you're here. The gestures all said. I've missed you.
Mal had been contemplating
At least, until she appeared.
Mal had never seen such a character - not in an estrogen package, anyway. The sharp skull, the nonchalant manner - when the doe flicked pebbles across the sandy bank Mal had to turn and look, ears swiveling to catch the sound.
As the doe finished her drink and started towards the willows, Mal looked away, wondering if she should try not to bring too much attention to herself.
No such luck. The other doe sat down, not far away either. Then she spoke.
Malicious fidgeted a moment before replying, scanning the forest before speaking. She didn't really like to get mixed up with such an... imperious deer, not when there weren't other deer around as well. "Couldn't bring myself to leave." Was her soft reply. "I'd never seen the forest so... quiet... as it is now."
The matriarch took her
"I see.." Was all she could manage to say. She paused, examining the doe secretly beneath her raven locks. "How odd on your part.. It tends to always gets quiet when I come around," She said, giving a weak chuckle. "Then again, sometimes the complete opposite happens, too."
Noticing the doe's slight fidgeting, she sighed and twitched her ears.
"Forgive me. If I am bothering you, I can leave if that is what you wish,"
The nameless lays his head
I've missed you too, Little One.
Gentle brown eyes glowed softly as he came to sit as well, observing the little thing. It was much brighter than him, with a pictogram that read 'cautious'. At least, from what he could tell. Sometimes the little symbols could be something completely different from what he thought.
What have you been up to lately?
He hoped the deer hadn't had any nightmares again.
"Oh, no, it's... it's quite
"Do you often walk the forest when most of the deer are gone?" She asked, feeling a little more relaxed, and, as a result, a little more curious.
As the Nameless took his ease
Sheepishly Whyss tilted his ears and grinned innocently. Who, me? Spying? Never.
No, of course not. His
His chuckle is deep, ancient, still strong after many years. He glances at the fawns, then snorts, still grinning. They were so full of life-the whole forest was, really, especially now that the sun shone down so beautifully.
I can't remember being as young as they are. I suppose it's been awhile. He nudges the little deer lightly.
I am quite sure you've done something, Little One. I myself have simply been... wandering, really. He sighs and looks out at the forest, eyes closing, then suddenly snapping back open to look down at Whyss in a hard gaze, though not unkind.
Have you had any more nightmares?
Whyss quailed a little under
And honestly, he hadn't. His dreams had been pleasant and enjoyable of late, in fact. However, it was as though a curtain had been drawn over them - he felt distant, separated, even more so than was usual in dreams. He felt as though he could push past the pretty pictures floating through his slumbering mind, and just beyond them would find... something... something big, and dark, and lurking; waiting for him...
"Nnn, quite the opposite
"Sometime's I'll come around when it's quiet, but not that often."
She let the bank water flow between her hoofs as she trailed them. "I dislike being alone for too long"
We totally need to schedule a run in between these two soon. 8D I can't wait for her to meet Mali.
Sensing the quailing, the
Good. I was worried.
He did sense that something was off about the answer, though, but he decided not to push. He only hoped the little deer would be okay.
If not, he'd be there to help him.

The half-hearted moo of a fawn captured her attention, and her ears swung sharply, but the child was shushed by its mother and was soon asleep again.

Empteh Childz- The doe crept
The doe crept closer, seeing a familiar face within the thick fog. She stopped and stood behind it, curious about what it seemed to be looking for.
"Hello again, deary," She said, cracking a smile
The forest was darker than
"M-mummy? Is that you?"
He followed a few of the figures a few steps, turning this way and that, but they all moved too fast, too quick.
"M-mummy! Please, I'm scared of the..."
And then the voice. Any other might have thought it frightening, screeching, sharp.
He thought it was the most beautiful angel music. "Are you my mummy?"
Yes, it was her. At least, it looked like her. Long, black hair - yes, yes, this was familiar. He took a step towards her, hoping desperately that she would not run like the others, that she would remain.
Daww how flattering for teh
It turned, mumbling words that it mumbled often, calling for it's mother.
The mother...that would never come.
It twitched it's gas-masked face, almost frantically at first, and looked up at the towering figure that was her.
"It is nice to see you again, little one. It has been long," The queen said softly, craning her neck down to meet it's empty gaze.
She smiled warmly.
He made a feeble attempt to
"Mummy isn't going anywhere,

She examined the surrounding area, ears swiveling at the smallest of sounds...
senses on high alert.
He immediately stumbled to
"Mummy..." The maddening search had come to a psychological conclusion. The child's desperation subsided. He turned his heavy head to look up at her, so tall and beautiful. Thoughts began to come, thoughts that had been clouded over; brought again to the forefront of the brain now that the immediate need was sated.
"Mummy... I'm afraid of the wolves, Mummy, are you afraid?"
She watched the fawn stagger
She watched the fawn stagger as it sat down, and picked it up by the scruff, placing it between her front legs. She crooned happily, gutteral humming rumbling in her chest.
She looked down at the fawn, smiling again at it's question.
"Mummy will protect you from the wolves...she is not afraid of them," The doe replied gently, hearing the constant calls of the creatures in the distance. She wanted him to feel safe.
The queen rose to her feet slowly to her full height. At the next wolf howl, she emitted a terrifying scream.
I will not even let them be in hearing distance while you are here...
He pressed against her chest
Surely there was nothing as big and strong as his mummy.
Those wolves better watch out.
Who are those two durrs
She stood up again, craning her head behind her at the two figures, Pelts of a dark night, with spastic colors of green and whites. She stood over the empty child and watched them intently,
They were up to something...
A growl, barely audible, grew in her chest.
D: I have no idea. I thought
-----
Tall, dark figures, with black faces and black antlers. They stood, staring.
The Empty Child turned his head towards them, ears slowly edging forward. Were these... Were these what the wolves looked like?
No... No, he remembered wolves. He did. Some ancient memory, dredged from the bottom of his vacant mind, surfaced vividly - no. These were not wolves.

The doe turned her ears forward to the unnerving visitors. They stopped walking, freezing in place like prey trying to hide itself from a predator.
She turned around and headed for a spot further away from these strange deer, nudging the Empty Child with her.
She sat down, still watching them. What were they doing...
She knew they weren't normal deer. They weren't anything like her either.
The push was unexpected, but
"Mummy, I-"
The willows shivered. Something dark peered through them.
"...Mummy...?"
"Yes, little one? What is
"Yes, little one? What is it...?" She said softly, turning her head to the fawn, her gaze meeting it's mask lenses.
Ahhh, that voice, that look.
The dark things seceded from his mind, as meaningless as the wolves. His vision darkened, his breathing deepened. He settled himself against the Spider Queen's side, heaving a small, muffled sigh.
"I love you, Mummy."
The doe smiled warmly as she

His small frail chest felt
At the moment the willows were his closest companions. The great black lenses were fogged with condensation as he looked up, hearing a voice close by. He tried to focus on the deer before him, but could only make out a vague shape. He started to shake his head, but then it felt as though a rock were rattling around in his skull, so he stopped.
"A-are... hgggh... Are you my m-mummy?"
