Eloa was moving with a quick pace once she and Nilo were back in the forest. She'd left after speaking with Voltaire to find Nilo, knowing he'd have some info about how to call Voltaire's daughter's soul to the woods. She glanced back at him hoping that she wasn't imposing on the other but he did agree. She gave a deep sigh and looked forward again and pressed on, trying to locate the fallen angel. She eventually found him alone amidst the shadow of the trees and slowed her pace as she approached. "He has gone through much...forgive him if he seems a bit harsh at first" she whispered to Nilo before approaching the other. Once in his sights she bowed and smiled brightly. "Hello again!" her voice was cheerful and bright. The orb that hug from his antlers glowed faintly with her presence. "I brought a friend with me...this friend..well they said they'd help me with that task we talked about" she said feeling a rush of excitement and nervousness.
( YAS ) Voltaire eye's were
Voltaire eye's were sullen and fatigued as they usually were, staring blankly at two shrubs shoving each other mildly from the force of the forests haunting breath that crept against the back of Voltaire's neck. Eloa had left and the chill of fear prowled up his spine, she was finding a friend. Not only was he nervous to meeting a new creature, he was more nervous than ever to attempt to find Maggie's spirit within the forest.
"Hello Eloa." Voltaire greeted with an arid pitch. His crimson churlish eyes fastened with the other who acquainted her. He said nothing but a stiff nod of his head and turned back toward Eloa, waiting for her to describe what would happen.
His soul began to hurt once she was there and his fear level was increasing at a shocking rate. His eyes were burnished like he had been mourning and his voice was scratchy and hoarse like he'd been yelling. He wasn't upset recently, it was almost like it would be kept like that until things were going to change within his life. There was too much negativity and sorrow for his soul and physical state to be viewed as healthy.
Nilo flicked an ear at Eloa's
A curt nod in response to his, ears lowering back to their usual drooping as he quietly regarded the other, before he shifted his weight and gave the doe an expectant look.
(I'll get more in depth here in later posts. Just trying to give y'all something before I head to bed.)
The doe glanced between the

He then looked around, his mind distracted as his heart rate quickened. He was now worried that maybe this ritual will hurt Maggie. All he wanted was for her to be safe and sound. If this was a way to risk her well being, he would step down immediately.
The Copperhead's gaze
"That depends..." he started to respond quietly, voice trailing off a little before his gaze snapped up to focus on Voltaire, "...do you know where this ligh-...ah...soul is? Do you own anything that it once identified with? Was attached to?" He allowed a couple of heartbeats of silence before his gaze slipped over to Eloa as he added, "I've never actually asked a light to come to me, I've always gone to them, if I sought one out at all..." his voice went softer as he added, "I've guided them in the afterlife, I've healed them, I've helped them pass on, but I've never actually summoned one to me. If there was something to help them find him, hear us maybe...wherever the spirit is, that might help better. I could also go into whatever world this spirit is, and find them too."
"Maybe" Eloa began after

Voltaire's head bobbed up and his crimson eyes switched between the two deer as they conversed about a plan. The talking was foreign to him and his grasp on the idea was loose and unknown. He began to get impatient but he knew Eloa and Nilo had to figure something out. His mouth interrupted their conversation with his eyes towards Eloa. "I want you to-" Voltaire glanced back at Nilo and cleared his throat awkward and impatiently. "I want you both to be careful okay?"
At his answer to his
His gaze flicked to her, nodding once, "That would be best...perhaps through me finding them, you leading them back...that might work well." He went silent to listen to the stag speak again, uncertain if he was referring to the doe or himself, or both of them, but at the last part of his words, the Copperhead gave another little bow of the head.
"We'll bring the soul you seek back to you."
"We'll be safe I promise"
The smokey stag sent his eyes
His head lifted as he looked down at her with a sheepish smile. "That's something I can most definitely provide." Voltaire said with deep pride within his tone. It was so surreal that he was going to see Maggie again he couldn't stop thinking about it. He was so distracted, Eloa and Nilo's conversation was tuning in and out within his ears just thinking about his daughter. He remained worried however because he didn't understand the consequences of the resurrection and quite frankly, he didn't want to think about it too deeply. He genuinely worried about planting a bad thought so he attempted to keep his focus strong.
"That sounds like that would

"Maggie is her name" Eloa said with much love and respect for the soul in her words. "I can provide the energy to reach that world...I know how to touch it but I'll need the extra aid to open the door" she said to Nilo as she took a deep breath and prepared herself for this massive energy she was about to use.
Voltaire felt his heart glaze
He stood back a little bit just in case the two needed room to build up their energy. His eyes jumped between them anxiously as he waited for the time to come.
"Ah...a lady," he mused in a
"You've been practicing then?" He asked, his ears flicking forward. He could have just as easily got them there, if not easier, but after his mishap some weeks before, he was a bit leery of putting himself at risk again. Granted the door itself was the least of his worries, the afterlife wasn't the kindest of places for him. He pushed those thoughts to the back of his mind, not wanting Van to catch them, to worry or stop him from holding to his words.
"yes I have" she smiled.
Voltaire locked eyes with
The black buck staggered back as Eloa vibrated from the use of her energy. His worry began to grow and his heart pulsed quicker. His eyes narrowed as the light bulged and poured over the the landscape, her wings unfolded elegantly and his breath was taken. He felt every emotion seeing her wings along with envy but for now he stared and watched the light gleam brightly.
Nilo cackled happily after a
"Okay..." he shifted himself around to focus on her and stand beside the door, glancing once at the black stag with a somewhat blank look, before focusing on Eloa again, "ready...?"
"Ready" she said, her voice

Voltaire's daze slowly began to subside once Nilo was within the afterlife. He glanced at Eloa and didn't breathe a word, not wanting to disrupt her concentration. All the lights and the performance before him was already overwhelming enough and if he was going to see his daughter again, he wasn't even sure what he'd do.
His heart did something different. His mind following his heart as he did something he hasn't done since he Fell. A prayer was released from him to his Lord and it almost shocked him that he had done it subconsciously. However, right now, it was needed the most.
To Nilo, the afterlife was
Following Eloa's tether, he eventually stumbled out of the door after poking the little ball of light through with his snout, murmuring seemingly half-mad reassurances to her under his breath while he tried to regain a sense of himself and not completely collapse on his face. He barely managed it, pulling himself around to give Eloa a nod to close off her energy, or close the door-whichever she preferred- before giving the black stag a shaky smile, "Found her."

Voltaire felt his blood pulse
His eyes were full of tears as he saw her little lungs finally exchanging air with her body moving in small ways. She was a little white fawn with vague red undertones and golden hooves. Her forehead was fluffed like bangs similar to Voltaire's and her eyes were a vibrant emerald green that finally opened to see the world. She moved her head slowly but then shortly fell back down.
Before her head hit the earth Voltaire dove forward to catch her cheek and rest it gently down to the soft grasses again.
Touching her face was so strange this way but it was something and he felt a void in his heart was filling as tears dripped down his face. He fell down to the ground and curled his body around her and groomed her. His mind was finally clearing of haze and reality was taking it's place. Eloa didn't fall far from Maggie so he craned his neck forward to touch her with his nose " My god, Eloa... are you okay?" Voltaire said as his heart rate picked up again with worry.
The Copperhead tried to
Eloa's breath was slow, but
Voltaire had his expression
As a few moments went by, Maggie's huge green eyes inched slivers, clearly sensitive to the light of the world she was now to begin a new life in. The Fallen Angel felt his tears drip on his daughters pelt and each droplet hit a shimmering glow to her body. He gawked with amazement at her beauty. Finally he collected himself enough to speak.
"Hey baby girl..." He said, his deep voice, usually hoarse, was toned to a sweet soothe. "I missed you." To his words, Maggie looked up hesitantly to meet her father's eyes. She stared for a few moments. Voltaire saw past her different body into her soul where he recognized her like she never left him, although she did seem older. But either way his heart melted as she watched him again. He wanted to look at her for so many years and tell her how much he loved her, and he thought that that was never going to happen again. Until he met Eloa and Nilo.
He couldn't explain the emotions he was going through with each second slipping past. It was like he was in a dream that soon he would wake up from and it would all be back in his bed in his old world. But he was here, and now was the time to take advantage to see his lovely little lady again.
"It's me... it's daddy."
----
( This is Maggie's POV )
The world stroke her soul like a dagger to the chest. The light pooling in from being previously blinded in such a dark tunnel was implausibly overwhelming. Her body was beginning to buzz with life like it did long before and the feeling was sensational yet utterly uncomforting. She felt the warmth of fur pressed against hers which made her eyes force open to meet a huge black stag with his body wrapped around her like a blanket. She was quite frightened before she met the eyes of this black monster. Looking deeper than before she found something familiar. Something she had been looking for.
It was until he spoke that made Maggie extend her vision and her eyes filled with tears. Now that the fawn was older (roughly 12) she could understand more and perceive the situation with rationality better than when she died. At first she only stared but as she opened her mouth to speak, a raspy tone slipped out painfully. "D...daddy?"
More than a little lost, the
His head tilted ever so slightly toward the black stag, a half-lidded eye fixed on his own, "...what's your name...?" His voice was almost too soft to be heard.

He turned to the other buck once more. "I couldn't ever thank you enough for what you have done for my daughter and I." Voltaire said quietly, his voice heartfelt and warm. "You and Eloa deserve nothing but pure greatness for your true duties." He glanced at Eloa again and frowned with disappointment. He wished she didn't have to lay there on her own so he stood up, lifting sleepy Maggie with the tip of his nose and walking toward Eloa to wrap himself around the two. "If you would like you can join us, Nilo." He said quietly, turning to him.
He nodded weakly at the
An ear perked forward at his voice, mumbling a sleepy, "I'm happy to help...s-sss..." a yawn, "...souls need to go back to those that love them. Don't deserve to stay...apart..." he trailed off, ear lowering back as he almost fell asleep. Almost. Voltaire's voice pulled him back at the last moment.
If you want, you can join us, Nilo...
His eyes opened a fraction to find the black stag had moved the fawn and himself over by Eloa, suddenly conscious of the space between them. Permission to sit with his own friend? He coughed, his attempt at a scoff, but he was too tired to even be properly offended.
"...she...didn't say you were a family," his tone was soft, if not hurt or disappointed, "...in the way, I'll leave..." with a tremendous effort he rolled to his shaking, unsteady hooves..."...my...mate's probably worried anyway."

Voltaire knew he was going to
The black stag was slightly offended at the fact that Nilo had decided to wobble away with practically no energy just to leave. He bent his ears back and nodded silently. Tightening his large mass over the two small beings. It wasn't worth getting worked up about so he rested his head down to the earth and closed his eyes.
( Thank you both for this killer RP! It was so great and I really enjoyed it!! :> )
That was fun and thank you
