After consideration its ben decided. I have a short question.. popularity on bios. I've noticed only my dear close friends and guardian figures have been posting on my bios, and art, and update blogs. Same goes to my other account. So the question is should I just delete this junk or try to improve it somehow? Ive literally almost been on this site nearly a year //this account and not really getting any slight glances.

I get what you're

I get what you're saying.

Biographies are slow to acquire comments and for me it's pretty much just an issue of people popping in to say, "Hey I ran into your deer and we had fun!" once in a blue moon. With biographies there's definitely an issue of popularity and subsequent favoritism here just like any website, but it's not a main contributor to post count.

That said, don't delete it. I've written and drawn tons of stuff for various things in this community and usually the only people who will be excited about what you make are the people you are giving it to or working with. It's disappointing for me but true... my best advice to you would be to maintain your characters for you, for your growth as a writer/artist/roleplayer/person and don't worry if other people don't fall in love with what you make, just worry about doing what makes you happy because I can't imagine there's anyone here who doesn't want you to be happy.

Can I hug Chu?

I'm glad I'm not the only one who's going through this. But anyways for me I've never gotten ANY comments on any of my bios even on my old account. I literally only had one person to comment on my bio (s) and that was Jennipher. Sad thing is I don't have the skill to make tumblr like CSS or art. /Shrugs* I guess it's where I'm never in the forest, I really can't either. I can only make site only characters until I get a computer. But I seriously feel like an outcast towards here, I'm happy when you guys make me happy or tranquil around y'all

If you can't get to the forest then I think you will have some trouble networking with folks. It's hard to feel disconnected andto feel like you're waiting for other people to make the first move. Unfortunately (this is the really hard part for me) you'll have to be the one to make those first connections. I like to roleplay on this site and so do lots of others so I think you should find interaction blogs and open roleplays and throw your characters in there.

It is scary but I promise you can do it.

As for CSS I think it can be kinda overrated (mostly because I grew up in the era when we only learned html in classes and no css and I'm too lazy to delve deeply into it). Lots of people on this site don't make their own and there are some users who could help you change your bios if you ask nicely.

Few Hours Later Edit: I kinda thought about this some more while I was in class. I'll add too that it's not the quality of the CSS that draws people in to the characters. I know it's certainly not what catches my eye. For me, it's the quality of the character itself, and that's such a really subjective thing that varies from person to person. For me, I like to see character biographies that show that the person who made it is having a lot of fun with their character, and CSS has nothing to do with that. Other people might feel differently.

I don't want you to worry about your characters' biographies because there's really no wrong way to express something that you made up and created. Just get your idea written out for people to see what makes your character who he/she/it is and what makes them special.
