Hm, I dunno, for me it's really just a burst of inspiration, but for others it might be a long thought-out process. That's probably why mine are somewhat vague and simple. I think it kind of depends on preferences and writing styles. (:
I usually start out with a simple skeleten ( a picture, some music, a description, and a list of traits. ), then I add onto it as I go. I could add what people have trouble understanding about my character, or small diaries to show what goes through my character's head.
...etc. People also like to add music or their deer's "theme" or whatever, but I stopped doing that because the players give me trouble and a youtube link works just fine XD
Also, around when I sort of set it off a long while back, you just make a reference sheet, like this: http://endlessforest.org/community/born-bayou (shameless self advertisment ftw) and just post it as a picture and poof, insta bio all compacted into a single, lazy image.
Or take the adventurous route and just go nuts with whatever formatting you can come up with.
I just make small lists, and describe my deer's appearance and personality. Personally, Rice isn't too far different from how I am OOC, so it wasn't too difficult. As for pasts and such, just make something up and don't be afraid to be creative!
I think it depends on how your mind works, like how you organize things. I understand visual info better than text so the first thing I did was draw out how I wanted my biography to look, and then after that I learned how to replicate it with html/css code.
1. A story
- This shows the deer's looks and their history. It might include their picto but there really isn't too much info there. If there is it's under the main story and just kinda tacked on. Furfur has a bio in 2 parts where his status page holds info as well as his main 'story' bio. Finata just has a long background story and lots of diary entries.
2. A stat page
-This is the one that my deer Álmos and Dhina have. It's kind of just their general info with a bit of color and flair thrown in.
3. Picture and a paragraph.
This is Rhys' bio. x) It's just a picture of him, his picto, and a brief explanation of who he is.
I've always used the same template when making my bio blogs... I find it works nicely for me, even if I am a bit lazy with finishing them up or really just working on them...
I always find that making a character is easy for me, but writing it all down is were I fail~
But then again, I think it just might be because I don't know what people would like to know about them. Makes me falter and thus I just go with a simple bio layout that tells the reader the basics on my characters.

eh...not really. Just keep it
Mostly it just goes:
-picture
-name
-age
-gender
-likes/dislikes
-story
...etc. People also like to add music or their deer's "theme" or whatever, but I stopped doing that because the players give me trouble and a youtube link works just fine XD
