Faunet was waiting patiently for Kylar. After all he promised to take her to a gay bar.Faunets foot started tapping impatiently. Where is he she murmered.
Kylar wandered along the street, in one of his black t-shirts with innuendo written on them. Today's read "I'm sorry you're so happy to see me" in white script. That gathered a lot of looks on it's own, but on Kylar, most turned to look at him. He was attractive enough. He approached Faunet. "Hey, how are ya darlin'?" He asked.
"A shell imitating human emotion, what am I, a toy, a puppet, hanging heartless upon thin strings"
He spoke to the beast at his side, a grey wolf with soft golden eyes, sitting within the shadows of an overhang, back against the wall of the building he sat by.
While others may have been concealed, he was easy to see, skin pale as warm cream, and hair the color of virgin snow.
His eyes drew attention, a perfect image of the Alaskan sky, complete with the twirling aurora of the northern lights.
Despite the warm weather he wore a long beige trenchcoat, lined in soft grey and white rabbit fur, matching brown pants tucked into leather boots.
With a click of his tongue he drew the wolf closer, running a gloved hand over its head as he watched the world go by.
Faunet was walking aimlessly around she just couldnt keep still.
Her attention was caught by a wolf a wolf with a human friend beside him
She approached them with caution but softly called out hello before fully reaching them
The young man turned his head, a look of disinterest etched upon his face.
The wolf however, immediatly stood, tongue flopping, tail wagging, and he trotted over to meet the young lady, snuffling loudly as he sniffed her before deciding that she was friendly and bouncing at her heels.
The white haired boy blinked slowly at the canid, looking at the girl again, though his expression remained the same.
"Hello"
Hey she she said as she tilted her head to the man showing that she heard him. Faunet kneeled down to pet the wolf. Her fingures ran through his soft fur. My names Faunet she introduced herself to the young man continuing to give afffection to the wolf.
"My name is Ethan Micheal Petrov..." he blinked slowly down at her, "But most merely call me Alaska" he tilted his head, motioning to the wolf, which had rolled over for her to pet him, squirming happily on the ground.
"And that is Juneau" he introduced the canine.
People derive pleasure far too easily from such small things a silent thought that came to his mind.
"Seems a bit strange that a girl would approach a strange man with such bravery" he gave a hollow smirk, eyes unchanging save for the ever-turning colours.
"You never know if they are out to cause you harm...most people are out to cause eachother harm though. So many have been desensitized to small things" his expression retured to a relaxed frown.
"though I can assure you I'm not dangerous"
The wolf panted, fur coated with dust now as he rolled about.
Alaska chuckled softly, but it was strange, lacked warmth and depth.
"ah yes...Juneau" his eyes flashed, the soft blue within them completely covering the dark and the other colours for a split second before fading back again.
"He's a good boy, very important to me as well"
"That wolf is...especially unique..." he leaned back.
"Family...yes, they do make the best family...they do not judge, and they do not try and steer your actions for you" he lowered a hand, and Juneau craned his neck to nuzzle it, sitting up again, a strange sense of intelligence hidden in the warm amber of the beast's eyes.
Alaska cast a glance at Juneau, who barked softly tail wagging.
"Feel free" he replied simply, sitting up to make room on the bench he was perched on, resting a cheek in a gloved hand.
"You will find that there are very few things I have strong...opinions...on"
"I've merely lived for far too long" he laughed softly, that same hollow chuckle.
"And what of you?" he inquired.
"What are you doing that allows you time to sit and chat with strangers" Juneau barked
"And their companions" he added, and Juneau gave a small very human-like nod.
Hmm life itself is a struggle and an adventure but occasionally allows one such pleasures to sit and enjoy things. Or if you dont like taking things the slow way then I guess it might not be as enjoyable to them. She said as she looke at the sky.
"Yes...but I have lived long enough for many men, many times over"
he looked at the girl.
"You are lucky, enjoy your life to the fullest, you'll have a happy life"
"oh? and how long is 'awhile'?" he asked curiously, Juneau tilting his head slightly, also curious as he pulled himself up onto the white haired man's lap.
"Marriage" he laughed once, sharp, biting, bitter, Juneau, reflecting his master's emotions growled softly to himself under his breath.
"Better to avoid love all together" he waved a hand "Someone always ends up hurt in the end" his eyes swirled, the soft pink-red taking over most of the colour.
"There is nothing you can acheive while in love, that you cannot acheive when alone"
I dont disagree but one can get lonesome alone trying to do those things without support, she crossed he knees and tilted her head backwards closing her eyes.People get hurt cause they dont communicate how they feel until its too late. Then it turns into a misunderstanding and almost always someone gets hurt.
Alaska smirked again.
"That is why Juneau is so important to me" he slowly pet the wolf.
"He shows the emotions, that I can no longer feel" he leaned back again.
"I tend to avoid people, save for when it benefits my own...needs" he chuckled once more, brushing his hair back, eyes back to their calm swirling aurora state.
"I cannot feel lonely."
"I complete myself. Even if he were gone my life would go on as it does now" he met her gaze evenly, collected as ever.
"I am at the moment, making my way back to the place I represent" he blinked slowly, "Where will you go when we part ways young one?"
Alaska arched a brow, looking at Juneau, silently asking if he should follow.
Juneau barked, jumping down and trotting after Faunet, tail wagging.
Alaska sighed, rising to his feet and silently moving after the canid.
Faunet continue walking. To plan the future is foolish for it always changes but still you must at least dream of it. The past is something to cherish and learn from although we must not live in the past or else life is pointless. Love is the same way you cant plan it and past lves dont need to be lived again. She stopped as she came to a breach she turned to the left going off the path.
The state arched a brow, still following, still listening.
He could not cherish.
And he could not love.
His emotions had worn down to dust, and blown away in the winds of time long ago, all he had left were the hollow ghosts of feelings that were not truly his.
Faunet could hear him trailing behind come on she smiled as she grabbed his arm its only a couple minutes away. And by the looks of it well get there in time to see the sun set.
Were here she said leading him to a small moutain edge cliff. The view is amazing up here she said letting go of his arm. And walking in front of him lifting her arms to the sky and laughing. Were on top of the world she joked,
The Alaskan settled himself down sitting on the edge.
"Many nations clamour to be on top of the world" he said softly, looking up at her, "but the ever turning sphere makes this impossible. Place my home anywhere on the globe, and I shall rise from top to bottom" he tilted his head back, letting the setting sun warm his skin.
Even though they claim to win with selfish pride what do they have to show something that they must always protect and shed more blood for. Or risk having it taken away she said as she sat beside him.
"if their land was taken they would just fade away" he smiled, "They shed no blood for their misdeeds, merely the lives of mortals" he waved a hand motioning to the sea "How glorious it would be, to be the ocean, ever toiling but owned by none"
Owned by no one but treated cruelly by some.
Id rather be a star that no one could reach. I would be differedt for no one star is the same. she sighed.
"I would not enjoy the attention stars receive" he looked up at the first strong few who showed even through the sun's setting light.
"constantly having to listen to the wishes of others" he reaced up, looking through the gaps in his fingers at the stars "maybe that is why the stars shoot, running away from the troubles that humans pour upon them..." he smiled, "I would wish to be the moon, within the company of myself, never bothered by the greedy hands of men" Juneau cocked his head back, howling, singing, as if to hurry the sun down and the moon up.
