I'd like to do some role play with
Silas to develop him some more. I used to role play a lot, but it's been a while since then, so I'm sorry if my writing is a little rusty! Anyone care to join?
(I'd just like to ask that you please use proper punctuation and grammar, i.e- 'you' instead of 'u.')
I lurrve roleplays. Though

Wearily, Mariposa blinked herself awake and let out a long yawn. Immediately she felt the chill of the new morning and began to tremble from the cold. The doe shook her long wavy black hair around her to keep her warm. Squinting her eyes, she looked around to see if there was any deer around she could join to warm her. But she was alone, only hearing distant hoof steps and moans of trees. Carefully standing up, she turned and began to trot towards the Birch forest. She was sure the tall wheat and grass could warm her body.
The fog was thick that

Her round emerald green eyes scaled through the grass, anticipating a figure to be seen.
The masked buck called again,
Sure enough, blades of grass were stirring to his left, making way for what he suspected was the caller. He sniffed the air. It was the scent of a stranger mingled with earthy traces of moss.

"It's so cold," she breathed, her voice airy and trembling a little. "Aren't you cold?"

'Do you want me to help keep you warm?'
At this, Mariposa brightened and chimed, "Really?!"
Without waiting for a response, she sprang over to his side, pressing her long hair into his fur. "You have so much floof!"Mariposa said happily, with the kind of enthusiasm of a newborn fawn. "I wish I had a pelt like this... I'd never be cold again."
Mariposa didn't have much concept or understanding of personal space, so she had no problem being physically close with nearly anyone-- especially if they make her feel comfortable.
{so so sorry for the wait!}
Silas welcomed it happily,
{Don't worry about it!}

Suddenly her brows furrowed together in slight confusion. "Wait, your lips aren't moving. Is that a mask?"

The doe took a few steps forward so she could see past his chest. She stooped under his neck and looked around. "Hm, I suppose they're not awake yet. It seems no one is. We could have the whole forest to ourselves!"
The small doe leapt forward and crashed through the grass gleefully. The wheat swished and swooshed under her delicate weight. "Look at all this space!" she exclaimed, at last stopping in front of him, though her smile slightly faltered as she spoke, as if suppressing some feeling. "It may not last long.."
"Then let's not waste this

Mariposa took another jump into the air, but when she landed, one of her back legs struck a rock that was poking out of the ground. Tripping on the rock sent her skidding across the grass. A light film of coppery dust poofed into the air around her as she slid on her side. "Gah.." she coughed, attempting to stand upright. There was a gash on her lower back right leg. "Oops," Mariposa murmured with an embarrassed chuckle.

Mariposa managed to lay upright, but everytime she tried to stand she felt a sharp pain in her back leg. She gave a bit of a sad sigh. "Just give it a minute. This actually happens much too often than it should.." Mariposa shook her hair to her other side and looked over at the scars that dotted the bottom of her legs and even on her shoulder blade.
Mariposa hung her head, as if in shame, and stared at the ground in front of her. "I'm so sorry. I'm terribly clumsy."
"It's alright, I'll stay here

Mariposa gave Silas an apologetic smile as he settled next to her. "Thank you.. And it doesn't hurt too badly. More a hot feeling- like lying in the sun for too long with stale wind.. I guess that's how I would describe it."
Mariposa could think of the oddest analogies to almost anything. She started doing it just for fun, but now it's yet another one of her subconsious speech quirks.
Mariposa looked to the distance and saw bright streaks of sun pierce through the blanket of grey clouds above them and rain down on the forest. It looked almost heavenly to her.
"They create sun spots," Mariposa said suddenly, continuing to stare at the sky. Her eyes widened in awe, the rings of green in her eye nearly glowing. "I guess the nice thing about being confined to the ground is you can look up to such beauty."
"There's a security to be

Mariposa arched her neck as a slit of sunlight began to flow over them. She closed her eyes and soaked up the sunlight.
What better than a sight like this?
Visions flashed through her mind. Painting the sunset, the meadows, the moonlight-- in her past life. She opened her eyes and her lips gently curved into a frown. A year ago, she would've turned into a weepy, distraught doe by these flashbacks. Now, they just make her sad. Why-- she is still unsure of.
Silas was focused on the

The doe took in a deep breath
The doe took in a deep breath and let out a long exhale. Her slender ears flicked this way and that, listening to the flap of a bird's wings, their chirping and songs. The heartbeat of the forest. She began to sing a song that she remembered learning years ago. She sang slowly, tenderly; murmuring the words and let them get lost in the warm wind. Then her song turned into a meditative hum of the tune.
"There is another world... There is a better world. Mm must be..must be."
By the end of her short melody a faint tear slid over her cheek. Though she didn't seem to notice, simply hummed and swayed to her tune.
The buck turned to the

Mariposa turned her gaze to Silas and smiled a bit. "Sometimes it's like I'm three things at once. My past, present, and future. One day, I think it'd be nice to be just one."

"It looks worse than it
"It looks worse than it feels," Mariposa reassured, solidifying her balance. She glanced back at her leg, which she kept propped up.
"It might take a while to reach the Pond, but I'll just have to bunny along for a while.."
Mariposa began to limp out of the Birch Forest and onto the moist ground. "Just like a bunny see? Hop hop hop-- ouch."
"C-careful..." Silas said,

"I'm sure if everyone was a butterfly," Mariposa began, "All the problems would just go away. We could just be beautiful butterflies, and not care about anything else except being happy and beautiful."

"That would be nice, wouldn't it?" Silas said, thinking it over. He imagined being such a delicate, beautiful creature, fluttering above the treetops with a breeze beneath its wings. He smiled and sighed to himself at the pleasant thought.

"They're my favorite forest creature," the doe hummed. "Why wouldn't they be? No one can dislike such things.."
Mariposa shook her hair to one side of her and gave a huff as she limped along. She noticed the ends of her hair beginning to matte with mud and leaves. Sometimes she hated her hair and wanted to cut if all off if she could. It got in her way and dirtied easily. Still, she left it alone. Though a nuisance, it did provide her with warmth and comfort when she felt alone. And she wasn't quite ready to let go of that yet.
They trekked, slowly but surely, through the green forest. The faint stir of water could be heard now.
{i am now,
Silas's ears perked in the direction of the water. "It sounds like we're getting close." He eyed her fresh wound worriedly, as well as the other scars. He was trying his best not to seem too concerned, but instead be a comfort.
Eventually the water came into view, Lilly pads with delicate white blossoms floated on the pristine surface. A choir of frogs joined the watery chorus. Cat-tails populated the mossy bank in cliques. The water was clear, like a looking glass, the dawning day's sky reflecting off of it in smooth pastels.
"Now, let's get that washed off!"
