Human: "Well, the orphanage-people didn't know what my name was. They knew my parents were named Matthew and Lauren Baroque, but they didn't know what my name was. So they named me Lilly. I went blind when I was a little girl, about 6 years old. I do paint; I love painting. It helps me feel relaxed. And I am quite happy to have been born in the 19th century. It's a rather pleasant time, wouldn't you agree? And I hope we become good friends, I think you're a really wonderful person! And also I love pirates."

Deer: "I was born Gilda! But when I came to the forest, I couldn't remember my name, or who I really was. So I tried to remember words and phrases I had heard during my short lifetime -- and I remembered a very pretty tree called a Lemon tree (don't ask me where she's from, where both fallow deer and Lemon trees are native. xD). So I just called myself that. I went blind on my way to the Endless Forest. I was kidnapped by an evil spirit and taken here, and the evil spirit was the one who made me blind. I don't know what 'paint' means. And I hope we can be friends! I get pretty shy around you; you're so popular and pretty (or so I hear...)! You're a very nice deer, I like you. <3"

I cause more trouble for myself than I really should. But I'm still very young, and I have a lot to learn about life and love. Still, I think I'm a very happy girl. Thank you for asking! :)"

And me! Haha. <3 My answer is pretty much the same as Lemon's, now that I think about it. xD We are very similar, she and I. I'm happy most of the time -- today especially! It's just a happy day. :> But sometimes I get depressed, though it's my own fault 99.9% of the time. I've still got a lot to learn, too. I read a book on philosophy, one time, which had a chapter about happiness which really struck a chord with me. It said that most people sabotage their own right to be happy, simply because we're taught that it's an evil thing. I mean, Christianity pretty much teaches us outright that anything we do to make ourselves happy is morally wrong. We have to work hard our whole lives, and suffer our whole lives, and avoid 'sex, drugs, and rock and roll', in order to enjoy the benefits of heaven after we die. So we develop these subconscious self-sabotaging techniques to make sure we're miserable our whole lives, so we'll be rewarded after we die. Pretty silly, when you think about it.

I've always looked up to you two, honestly -- I wish I could be more like you. x_____x Lemon was supposed to be more Kaoori-like; nice to everyone, and everyone's friend. c: But I don't have enough social skills for that.

"I remember very little. But I do remember that I lived in a forest. There were so many different smells, sounds... and sights. There were small birds there, but there were large ones, as well. The mushrooms did not grow in circles, but they sprouted in the most unexpected of places. There weren't as many flowers; it was darker; and the trees were more dense. Sometimes I wish I could return there; but there's one thing which holds me back. The fear. Every creature who lived in the forest was full of fear; fear, fear, so much of it! Every unknown sound prompted panic, and every strange scent was reason to bolt. I remember... everyone was on edge, worrying... praying... but I can't remember what we were so frightened of... I think I was too young to understand..."
