No, you cannot post a picture without uploading it somewhere. Unfortunately you cannot upload directly to TEF's server, either.
If you need a free hosting service, try TinyPic or Photobucket.
You do not NEED to register to TinyPic to use it, but it does help if you ever want to organize your pictures or find their links again if they are lost. Photobucket will require registration.
