Mmm it's been a while hasn't it? I've been quite busy, so you may not have noticed that I haven't been around so much. My lair had to be remodeled, it's quite beautiful now, mmm...

I just came up and found out it was October! My favorite month, as I love seeing the little dears all dressed up in their pelts and masks. Makes me just want to eat them right up, hehe!

And come to think of it, I'm quite famished. So I'll be on the lookout for the cutest, most adorable fawns in the Forest. I can't wait to see the little dears.

Mmm and all the stags and does in the area, I'll politely ask you to stay away when you see me...I don't want to fight you at all, just let me have my meal, okay?

So without further ado...mmm...the October hunt is on!"

In celebration of Halloween, Nekumbra will be popping in the Forest more often.

She's very hungry, and wants to have a fawn for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. So she will be stalking fawns for the rest of the month


How it works



Step 1 - Fawn approaches alone, or Nekumbra finds a lone fawn



Step 2 - Nuzzle = they've been eaten. Nek normally won't approach if an adult is present (the adult in the pic was sitting when she went to nuzzle the fawn)



Step 3 - Run run run!! Nekumbra has eaten another fawn (and the player is completely unaware that it had happened)


What to look for



Look for her distinctive hourglass pictogram. It's supposed to resemble a black widow spider's hour glass.


What to do when you see her


Fawns
- If you see her, and she's looking your way, the best thing to do is to run to the nearest adult deer. Nekumbra won't follow you if you're too close to an adult. (Note - sleeping adults don't really count, she will approach, but if they wake up, she'll run.)

- If you get nuzzled, don't worry about it. Your character isn't dead, and Nekumbra will run off. You'll just be added to her count of 'victims'

- If you don't want to play, then stamp the ground and shake your head. That will be my cue that you don't want me around, and I'll bow and run off.




Adults
- If you see her around, the best thing to do is run at her. Nekumbra will quickly flee the area. Please don't relentlessly chase me, that takes the fun out of this

- If you see a fawn alone and Nekumbra's close by, go stand by them. She won't pursue the fawn if there's an adult nearby.

- If you see her nuzzle a fawn, don't worry about it. The fawn isn't dead, and Nekumbra will run off.

- If you don't want to play, then stamp the ground and shake your head. That will be my cue that you don't want me around, and I'll bow and run off.




Other things to note
- While I'm running around, I am looking all around with the camera angle and not always looking where I'm going. I may accidentally run close to a sitting deer or a group of deer, and if I do, I apologize. I'm not always looking forward when Nekumbra's running

- Nekumbra may nuzzle the same fawn twice in one day. I'm not keeping track of pictograms so they count as two fawns eaten despite being the same fawn.

- When I need to sit her down somewhere to update the list or go AFK, she will hide in a big tree. It's supposed to be like her actually climbing up the tree.
