I would like to give my most heartfelt thank you to everyone here in the community who contributed and created so much amazing artwork and incredible writing to give their thanks to The Endless Forest. Together we raised 357.50€. That's about 483$. Let that sink in for a minute. That is an incredible amount of money.
I am very delighted to see that so many of you were so eager to participate. This would not have been possible had it not been for every single one of you. It is beautiful to see all this creativity come together in one place.
Even though the community has its difficulties, this shows that we can come together as one and create something beautiful ♥ Thank you so much everyone. It's been a blast. I hope everyone enjoyed this week.

What is this about?

Since I managed to save up a good amount of money, I thought I would put some of it to good use and involve you, the community, in it too.

The premise is simple: For every piece of artwork you create, I will donate 5€ to The Endless Forest. Now is your chance to support TEF if you're unable to do so otherwise.

This event will run from Sunday, July 13th to Sunday, July 20th. So you have one week. At the end of the week I will send the total amount that we raised together to M&A. (to avoid spamming them with a bunch of small donations.)

I hope you guys have fun, and I hope to see a lot of wonderful artwork and writings for the forest!

How can I participate?

To participate, simply create something from the following suggestions, and then post it in the comments.

The only limitation: You are allowed to submit a maximum of 2 pieces total (to preserve my wallet at least a little bit).

You are allowed to put in as little or as much effort as you want. It's absolutely up to you.

You are free to combine and alter these prompts to your wishes. Your drawing can be as concrete or as abstract as you want. You have free reign.

Your favorite weather.
Your favorite tree, or a tree you with so see in the forest.
Your favorite plant, or a plant you wish to see in the forest.
Your favorite place in the forest.
Your favorite small forest creature.
Someone you met through TEF who has become very important to you.
A nameless or a fawn discovering something in the forest.
Your deer experiencing a moment of Abiogenesis
Your very first experience in the forest.
An important moment or realization in your TEF life.
The Twin Gods, or Michael and Auriea as God Deer
The Creation of deer and other forest life, or The Forest (or part of it) itself
Your most joyful forest moment.
The elusive pond duck.
Draw another animal with a human face. (Make it creepy for extra fun)

If drawing is not your thing, here are also some writing ideas for you. The writings can be as long as short as you want, and in any style or perspective you like.

A new soul enters its forest. It experiences new feelings and sensations.
Something from the perspective of a small forest creature.
Your deer experiencing a moment of Abiogenesis
An important moment or realization in your TEF life.
Your deer observing the life in the forest, or pondering about forest life.
Life in the forest as observed by The Gods
The Creation of Deer and other forest life, or The Forest (or part of it) itself
Your most joyful forest moment.
Your very first experience in the forest.

Bonus Event!

If you want to help out even more, these extra bonus events might be for you. The money raised here will not count towards the regular 10€ limit. You may submit one decoration and one haiku. For each decoration and for each haiku I will donate an additional 2.50€. This means each individual has the opportunity to donate up to 15€. This challenge will be open until the end of the main event.

Decorate the tree

A single young tree in a clearing. Its branches are thin and fragile. It looks dead, yet little leaves are beginning to sprout.

Add a decoration to the tree. It can be whatever you want -- Feathers, flowers, an animal skull... a little personal gift from you or your deer. Me and ben have given it one of our feathers.
Click the image for full-size. Save it on your PC, open it in your art program and add your decoration. The next person will continue from your decoration.

((There may or may not be a little surprise waiting at the end of this bonus challenge. The result is influenced by the outcome of the tree.))

Write a Haiku

A mysterious parchment lies next to the tree. It seems empty, but as you look closer, words seem to reveal themselves...

Write a simple Haiku pertaining to an aspect of the forest. It can be about anything you want, be it the whole forest, one of its residents, or a small detail.

Evern! Gosh how beautiful. You know I love your writing. <3 I love that you included the pictogram as a "real" presence here. What a strong powerful piece. All the imagery you created is incredible, how you describe the different landmarks, the ever-present love, you really captured the sheer strength of the forest's existence.

The Gift of a Forest

We were given the world in a soap bubble
Horizons soft, shimmering.
The boundaries but reflections,
forming endless spaces out of
tenuous, transitory walls.

We were given a world of escaped gravity,
where the ground with its hungry maw
lies outstripped by fast hooves,
by running and leaping, by accident
or error turning to flight.

We were given a world of light like snow,
falling to soft pools on forest floors.
Light dances through trees, shining slant,
And collects in eye and heart: in a word,
in a name, written by sun and soul.

We were given a world of silence
of tender gesture to fill the gap:
interlocked antlers on a rainy walk,
or berry-stained lips laughing,
words trembling and frail compared
to racing, rejoining her on a trail of light.

But bubble-barriers, pressed, pop,
and the ground rises like heat
waiting for a glance down;
the light of names fades if unread,
and a silence shatters in air full
of bloodied roars: to this world,
held by such thin hopes,
we owe a gift of love to keep it.

Guys! We have reached 100€! Awesome job everyone! But like I said go big or go home! There's more where that came from, i'm sure of it~~ You all rock hard.

Poppyflower-- That's probably a good idea to wait a bit for the limit. However I have one or two small surprises up my sleeve that will allow everyone to give some extra support independent of the regular limit.

I'm not sure how many participants they will attract but hopefully some still have some motivation left. So keep your eyes open!

Seed-- Aaah, poems are my total weak spot, and yours just makes me want to pick out and quote every single line. I've been trying really hard to find the appropriate words to describe just how amazing this is but gosh it's just so beautiful and enchanting all over. I'm absolutely in love with the bubble metaphor. I think my favorite part though has to be the very first verse. It's so enchanting.

fetch-- Haha gosh that is so creative!! I understand that fawn's reaction well, because my god that crow is looking incredible haha. That menacing grin is perfect. I really really love what you did with the body language in general. You can really feel the intimidation. Also the shading on the fawn looks so amazigly three-dimensional! I also really love the stylized background for some reason. What a wonderful and captivating piece. It really tells a whole story.
