I gave 10 years of my life to this game when I had nothing else ~ as pathetic as it sounds.. In saying that, however, I have things in my life now that take priority over TEF. A healthy and active relationship, a multitude of pets that take up most of my time if I'm not in the city with my wife or we're not gaming together on her off time. Rarely do I get to sit and pour myself fully into TEF like I did 4 years ago (and for the 10 previously), and as much as it saddens me, I'm glad it's happened while the game is slowly dying by the creators and how small the community has become. I find myself writing lore and stories of my own characters, meeting each other and adventuring with each other. I don't rely on anyone else or expect it from anyone else anymore. I think most players are comfortable in their circles and don't feel a need to expand it or open it up fully, and that's ok (truthfully branching out and trying to expand has barely ever worked for me). Everyone is owed comfort and security. I think my place within TEF has slowly been leaking out and eventually I feel like my time completely will come to an end. I enjoy writing for my characters, but I dont need TEF for that if I feel like I am doing it all within my own head. I've always loved writing, even as a young teenager.
YUCK ANYWAY that was a tldr; tef is slowly dying no matter how much we'd like to believe it isnt and im glad it's happening now when I have things to live for outside of it and am not 'prisoned'

I know that feeling...if I could, I'd feed Kiara a raw meat diet, but she's my sister's dog, not mine, so I don't have any real say in what she can eat and whatnot...it doesn't help that even the "cleanest" kibble food still has things in it such as meal that doesn't do anything for dogs (or cats, for that matter). If I ever get the chance to own my own dog, they're getting a raw meat diet, and that's that. They're meant to eat almost exclusively meat, and do best on such a diet. Don't let anyone bother you over it, Hershey is so much better off with what you're giving him, and that's what matters.
We have no idea! for a while
It's always the most frustrating wanting to do for someone elses pets ;; theres people in my family that,, are one of the most neglectful pet owners ive ever known and it just completely blows my mind because they're so well off and none of it goes into giving the dogs a better life in any capacity sigh. I've only ever had positive experiences with raw diet as well as everyone i knew who had their pets on it too, i honestly would never want to change it.

But otherwise it won't hurt a bit. -you feel it- but it doesen't hurt. Imagine poking your gum with your finger. Imagine a stranger doing that. Don't imagine that they're doing it with a sharp tool that looks like it's used in stone carving.
However i think the most icky thing will be the shot they give to the top of your mouth. If your gag reflex is hella bad, that part gonna be just ... shudders.

it definitely wont be something that's in the very very near future i have to get done, but i like to unnecessarily worry in advance smh.. the big concern im worried about is if i have to have all out and they only want to do local anesthetic. I got a back molar out years ago and idk what the deal was but the local wasn't working (long story short i basically got it pulled without any numbing agent because i could physically feel the pain of it, not just the movements, so that was a fun time but my dentist said grown men couldn't have been able to handle that so :nail-care: ) BUT because it didn't work the dentist kept trying and overdosing with local to the point afterwards i couldnt swallow and was freaking out lowkey because it was difficult to breath >> so to think id have to have 4!!`! shots in the corner of my mouth if they insist on taking them all and not doing general freaks me out v.v im planning to get the referral next time and then call and ask some Q's hopefully knocking my arse out is an option

Regarding taking pills, I used to have that problem a lot, though it's not as bad anymore. If I'm having difficulty taking a pill, I move myself around and remember various dance songs that I listen to. I find that that helps me to take my mind off of what my gag reflex is doing, and I can swallow the pill pretty easily. Maybe try something like that and see if it helps?

I dont think im sensitive to anesthesia, though the only time i was ever put under (i think??) was when i had a bad 'car accident' and needed a skin graft but i was like 5 years old and idk if i was under for that or not. THE taking pills thing is really impossible for me ;; i never could even take the smallest of birth control when i was a mid teen and any pain i had to endure sigh, but now i crush up pain pills if i absolutely have to but even then i usually just take kids liquid because it tends to do the trick for me
I love bettas but haven't done any research about different kinds (except finagle), and only learned there were 'giant' bettas a couple weeks ago. He caught my eye straight away (i always go and look at them whenever we visit) and i just couldn't not take him home he was such a stunner, but im also v partial to the majority whites when it comes to their colouring, and i loved how stocky he looked.

Yeah, the giant/king bettas are very stocky, and the plakat morphs in general are actually pretty close to what bettas look like in the wild. He's definitely very beautiful. I'm personally partial to butterfly colour morphs, where their body is mostly a darker colour (such as blue or red), but the edges of their fins are white. Certain solid colours really catch my attention too.
Regarding the fan, have you had anyone look at it? It's possible that there's a buildup of dust on the inside and that can clog the fan and make it work harder. There are pressure sprays that can help push it out, but they can be a bit risky. Is it a laptop or a desktop?

100% of my rats have been gotten from snake-feed tubs. and i've had so many people preach that 'supporting the industry!!' thing to me and finger wagging BUT TBH. 98% of the rats bred to be snake food.. ARE GONNA BE SNAKE FOOD. everyone could stop buying them as pets and they'd still be mass bred to feed reptiles so.. sigh
THE ONLY THING SUFFERING IS MY WALLET AS I SPEND HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS ON MEDICAL TREATMENT FOR THE SICKLY GROSS LITTLE THINGS!!! all worth it for though

i havent had a black standard ear since 'Asia' and she passed away really young (well before she was 1) either brain tumor or stroke from what i googled with her symptoms after she passed away (pet store rat too).. ive been really unlucky when it comes to mammary tumors sigh it's such an awful cancer, it grows and grows and the rat remains fine despite this large mass on it and it's just awful, and my girls get it when they're older and surgery is a bigger risk than would be normally
i always hear about how in the rat community everyone loves boys the most but all the ones ive had have been sort of lowkey skittish and nervous when handled/etc.. GRANTED ive only had boys when i had like fucking 7 girls too so my attention was sparingly divided between so many. I DO WANT TO one day experience just having 2 (hahahahaha) boys and get to hopefully see what everyone else talks about :sob:
i think the closest i got to having a boy that was similar to what everyone talks about with males was 'dad', he was a big fat lazy sweet as hell boy but he didn't care to be held and he was a little skittish out of his cage but inside he'd fall asleep while you scratched his head ;; and then my girl 'mei' (my first) who liked living alone, sweet and snuggly as hell and such low energy.. she reminded me of what i hear people describe the boys to be like

GUH, i've had pituitary tumors and spinal tumors and stomach tumors in my boys. none i could do anything about other than bring them in to the vet to say goodbye. :{ SO I DON'T NEED 12 MORE SPOTS FOR TUMORS TO POP UP GDI. i've raised mice too and any females that lived over a 6 months ended up developing tumors, save for ONE. SO NO TY!! NO TYSM! especially because like you said, they pop up when older and BLECCH. they really don't even seem to notice the mammary tumors though, for a long long time. it's the worst part about it LIKE THEY'RE. NOT SICK, just 3: .. lumpy
I'M SURPRISED YOUR BOYS HAVE BEEN SPAZZY. i've had a few squirmy boys, but it has a lllOT to do with their genetics.
i got my two current boys from different stores with different stock breeders and while they're both super sweet, there's definitely a huge difference in behavior that i don't think is environmental. and po was maybe 4?! months when i got him, and under socialized but he still melts like putty when you pick him up
some girls can be super snuggly i hear 3: apparently dumbos in particular? also they don't constantly PEE ON YOU AND EVERYTHING YOU LOVE UNLESS YOU REMOVE THEIR BALLS.
