Well, you turned me into a doe. I look ridiculous, " he says with a quiet, deep tone, a faint smile appears on his features as he lets out a quiet chuckle.

Another smile makes it's way onto Beren's features as the doe laughs. "I know I am. No one can compete with my handsomeness." Sarcasm in his voice. The wolf turns his head towards the doe and gently brushes his cheek against her's with an attempt to dry it, another quiet chuckle follows.

"No, thank you." The wolf returns a kind, honest smile to the doe and gently rubs his head against her neck fur.

"Thank you, Beren, once again." She whispered quietly as she laid under his watch. A smile visited her soft features, she could rest better now. No need to worry about threats.

// poor guy. First all happy and whatnot and then all rawr when noticed her wounds. He's so cute. ;___;

The tone of his voice cut her ears like a blade. She thought she had disappointed him like a recovering drug addict who had slipped. The doe was too tired to explain everything that had happened, she had had to explain it to so many already. "I did, but this time it was for the best and had to be done." She nodded with a sigh. She would regret her decision later on when she would have fully understood what she had done.
She laid her head to the ground and closed her eyes, ears twitching every now and again. "But I want to." A brief chuckle. "Where have you been lately? Haven't seen you around."

The doe lifted her head up right after she heard where he had been. Outside of the forest. So far she had only negative associations with the subject. "What did you do there?" The tone of her voice was more harsh than it was meant to be and soon she tried to hide it with a smile that eventually turned into a chuckle. She closed her eyes briefly when his tongue met her forehead. "It's better that way. At least I didn't need to worry about you getting hurt. Umay, Kody, Crucio. All of them were there to back me up. They helped a lot." She tried to calm her friend down by telling she wasn't there alone. She would be in much worse condition if she had been there by herself. She gently rubbed her cheek against his.

The tone of her voice changed and now it was more relaxed. "Did you find anything interesting there? Tell me about this new place of yours." Eager to learn, frightened to visit. Someday she would like to make a trip to the forest outside this place. Her last visit did not have a pleasant ending and she did not leave because she wanted to. She was dragged away from here.

The doe was thankful, oh so thankful, for his need to be there for her when she was in need. "You are too sweet, Beren." She could have tried to convince him to stay away from her when she was in trouble. She would work it out somehow, she knew. For now she decided not to argue with him about it.

She listened carefully, the forest he had been in sounded much nicer than the one she had been in. Much nicer. When the colorful feathers were mentioned, she let out a bright chuckle. After that she coughed. The wound in her throat was still sore and apparently that chuckle had angered it. "Sounds amazing. You don't happen to have those feathers with you? I'd love to see them." A smile appeared upon her features after she had spoken.

A shiver ran down her spine when he let out a question. "I have." She did not continue her story any longer. She was lost in thought of that day and was distracted by his affection. A quiet purr-like sound escaped her mouth as she returned the affection by licking his cheek briefly and then rubbing her cheek against his.

She gave only a nod as a response and thought it would be the best if they went to see them when she was even a little bit stronger.

The doe sighed wondering where she would start or even how to start. She turned her deep blue eyes to him, they were like glued to him from now on. "Awful." A deep breath. "It is a long, long story. But once again I got into trouble without really seeking them. I was dragged to the place I was born by my step-father who was more than eager to take my life. Thankfully, my brother, Khaelh, came to rescue." She had to swallow and take another deep breath. "They fought. They collapsed. They.. laid there, not moving." Then she finally took her eyes off him and shook her head. As far as she knew only one left of her biological family was her sister.

She leaned toward the male and hid her face into his neck fur. Miyako was coming into terms of her brother's passing but still every time she had to talk about it it made her heart ache. "No, he didn't. You see now why I don't want others fight my battles for me? I don't want that to happen again. " She is comfortable there, close to the wolf. As close as she could possibly get. "Don't worry about it. You could have not known." She took a little tuft of his fur between her teeth and tugged it lightly.

He could feel her trying to inch even closer to the wolf, the thought of losing him or anyone else she cared for was just unbearable. She would blame herself for eternity. All the comfort and affection made her feel much, much better even if it didn't show too well. She was lucky to have a friend like him.
