"...thoughts here...."
November 12th, 2015
Yes, I guess I can say I'm gone now. It's been 4 months and I've looked at this site maybe twice. I have absolutely no desire to go into forest anymore. Herla and my other characters are alive and well, though they don't live here anymore. I'm as happy with them now as I've ever been and feel much more satisfied with my creations since removing them from this place. I used to think that would be hard or impossible and if I left, I'd lose them. I laugh now at that, the best way out is through as they say, and then you wonder what all the fuss was about in the first place.
Health challenges continue, and part of that is minimized computer time since it aggravates my conditions to sit and type and look at screens. After a decade dedicated to digital art, I pretty much exclusively do traditional art now. Loving my Copic markers. It has really helped me to find alternative creative outlets like the Ball Jointed Doll Hobby. Starting to sculpt and sew too.
Please don't leave messages here, I'll be unlikely to see them. If you wish to contact me use the email below.
Please do not ask for any of my pictos.

Really sorry for my fail
It was a nice to meet you and Herla (:
RikkaChan: I must admit that
RiverCatRa: Oh dear, I feel your pain. Bad internet is so frustrating. Never the less Herla always appreciates Saburo’s calm company, he is very endearing. We enjoyed the time we did have with him.
Oh, don't worry, hun. I
Beyond overdue track. :]
RikkaChan: Yeah, I don’t
DinahMoon: Thanks for the track and for the company. Herla was definitely drawn in by Idelle’s adorable antics.

Thanks for the track, Phaios!
"I want to take this
I doubt the term acquaintance will ever apply between us, but I can accept this. Again, I'm deeply sorry for the sins I've committed towards you."
(I was afk when Walter came
Just as bizarre and unwarranted as the old bull’s attacks on her had been, the apology uttered by him now was just as unexpected and confusing to the small doe. She remained behind the shield of her son’s antlers, a wary eye on the big bull, whose actions had always been unpredictable and dangerous towards her. She hesitated in replying to him but finally did, “If you truly feel remorse for what you have done then show it by never coming near me or my family again.”
"The terms of my statement
You have your ways.. And I have mine."
Hello. I would like to take
First off thank you for your
(Also wanted to point out that Misako is not my mate. In fact,I think my husband might protest that a bit. XD Misako plays Gehirn, and Gehirn is Herla’s mate. The doe that I play. Herla is my character. She is not me, though I certainly put a lot of heart and soul into her.)
But anyways, I hope you have fun on the game. Welcome to TEF.
Thank you so much Herla. And
I hope Ganga did not make

She encouraged Ciel, her son, to flirt with Ganga (again because she thought Ganga was a doe) So that was no troll, that was only Ciel behaving badly after consuming a potent aphrodisiac.
Oh gosh, Ganga didn't know.
I enjoyed reading today's
Best. Update. Ever.

Ooh...whoops. I just read
Really? Whoa, that's one hell
Tell me about it; I've never
Iaurdagnire: Haha, I had
RikkaChan: It’s a family past time.
Sleepyhead: Ah, yes well that explains it, I have to say I was mightily confused. Delayed making an update as I was hoping you’d come on MSN so I could query you what was going on. You didn’t so I just went with what I observed. Makes a lot more sense now! I have had that happen to me too, not being able to see deer, when I have bad internet connection. It’s quite annoying and confusing.
One would think something
One would think something from the pond had crawled itself up onto dry ground. Long greens hung over its back, freshly pulled from the patches of alfalfa grass and big bluestem within the Birch Tree Forest. A large patch of clovers seemed to be growing down the black mane and further down mid back to join with a patch of ground leaves that held little red strawberries and a stash of last fall’s dropped nuts in an assorted mix. Spring brought the lovely bounty of fresh food if one knew where to look and borrow for. Strings of baby willow leaves had been chosen to rest over her rump, a skirt like effect happening as she walked carefully with the precious cargo. What couldn’t be carried on the red back had been chosen to rest in the soft grip of velvet lips. Bright red berries, little in size but big in flavor. A last treat for when one simply needed to be rid of the rather bland taste left from too many greens.
The red doe was not turning into one of the plants of the Forest. Her errand was special, a thought that had bloomed slowly overnight after visiting a mother to be. Once quick on her bright blue hooves she now rested much of the day, her large mate nearby as always to stand guard. How often were they able to graze on the treats of this new spring? Legs could tire easily when carrying and grass near their resting place had all but been trimmed down to the roots by three mouths. So, that early morning had been spent pulling and tugging up untouched patches of clover and grass, uncovered acorns that she had saved the previous fall deep in the earth. The smaller doe could use the brown nuts more than her. Jettem fed only one stomach, Herla must have been feeding two, maybe three?
Forgoing her normal clean look she marched around slowly, balancing the greens and berries and such as she took a caterpillar’s time in speed to approach the three figures laying about in a sunspot. Herla, being the brightest in color and seeming to glow with motherhood was the first her blue gaze fell on, knowing if she were asleep it would be…difficult to approach with a weary Gehirn and ever watchful Ephire. The doe was dwarfed next to the two large stags, the red legs slowing down even more so as she approached the group from the front cautiously. Second thoughts were not on backing off, but on if she had gathered enough food for all three deer as they sunned themselves.
She must look ridiculous waddling up to them with bits of the forest humped up along her back. Maybe a fawn or two was hiding underneath it all, the load of greens big enough to do so as the doe came closer before pausing several feet away.
Dropping the bundle of berries between front hooves she lifted her long neck forward and stared first at the stags, waiting patiently for their approval first in attempt to bring her offering of fresh food closer to the pregnant doe and her bull companions. A bright blue gaze watched for any signs behind the shadows of her mask. Long ears pulled forward in greeting, head bowing and nosing at the berries, pushing them closer and taking a small step forward, ears twisting back against her head in honest respect.
The little black doe dozed
The other was nudging forward some berries, clearly offering a gift though she could see the red does’ eyes where watchful upon the two large bulls and Herla did not blame her, her hesitation. So she rose to her feet, perhaps not quite as gracefully as she once would have managed, everything a bit more cumbersome these days with her burgeoning belly. Dainty blue hooves stepped beyond the form of the two large bulls toward the red doe where she offered a bow in greeting, “Jettem,” she said smiling warmly at the other before dipping her head to sniff at the red berries, “These are beautiful, and such a treat, thank you. And these,” she said indicating the greenery that piled upon the red does’ back and swayed like a skirt at her hips, “Could not have been easy to collect. Would you like to stay for dinner? I could make a stew.” The little black doe with red eyes loved to cook.
The giant’s eyes turned at
He turned his head to look at the conversing does. There was still a frown on his face, his chosen expression by default.
Gehirn’s head tilted slightly and his expression seemed to clear up when Herla mentioned the word stew. But oh dear, the other doe was invited. He knew what that meant. Turning to the sunbathing Ephiré. “You’re staying too right?” He asked, though with Gehirn that was moreso a demand. “She’s a good cook and.. ” His voice went to a whisper. “.. I can’t handle girlchat all evening by myself.”
The large raven stag had been
"Oh."
He bowed his head deeply as greeting. He was rather fond of the red doe, even though they didn't meet often.
When Gehirn turned to him he listened, silent, with one eyebrow rising at the end of the sentence and a small smile playing on his lips. A deerish shrug and then a nod. "Sure." Food is always nice, even though he wondered what kind of "stew" Herla would come up with.
A small smile grew as the
A small smile grew as the brilliantly colored doe rose first, grateful of her approach and dipping her head in greeting again when she came near. The large midsection of the smaller doe worried Jettem for a few short moments, thinking there must three in there. But then she was very far along, giving a gentle nuzzle to the grey blue cheek. "I thought maybe more than just grass would be a nice break as you rested. I imagine Gehirn doesn't move much for grazing as he watches his lovely doe of spring colors." Speaking softly she lifted her head as she heard the large elk stag talking to the raven masked one, ears twisting forward before looking down to Herla.
"Dinner would be nice, I've never had stew before though. I hope I brought enough for everyone." Coming closer she found a small clearing in front of Herla's mate, knowing such a large bull would have an appetite after sitting still for a while. Berries were dropped, then the patch of strawberries that cradled the acorns. Next the rather large amount of clovers, keeping each item separate from the other and lining them one next to the other, the long grasses becoming a nice enough pile before having to pull the willow leaves off next in bunches. No free of the mess she gave a good shake to clean of her pelt and tail, seeing a few leaves stuck in it and struggling for a moment before giving up.
"Gehirn, Ephire." she said their names, giving each a bow in respect and standing before them, unsure of what to do exactly. She had expect to simply leave the items and be on her way to leave them in peace. She knew Ephire very little and Gehirn even less along with Herla. Only recently had she tried to contribute and give some comfort at a distance. Not much of a cook herself since she simply ate what was already grown she took a place closer to the midnight pelted bull. Ephire was one she often looked up too and approached when she could, lightly pressing her nose at his withers area before looking to Herla and asking softly.
"How can I help? I've never cooked before."
Herla heard the rumbling
The cooking well underway, pleasant aromas where lifting into the air on the steam. Herla was sitting back tending the stew. Jettem asked if she could help, “You brought the foods, that was help enough,” she answered with a smile.
Gehirn watched the crimson
The smell of Herla’s cooking quickly hit his nose, whilst Jettem settled besides Ephiré. Gehirn’s head turned to watch the does odd trick, even though he had seen it happen a few times now. Sitting back in the sunspot himself as well, he watches the doe, but his ears are turned to their environment. Still watchful.
Sight, would you mind if I
