For fun and to keep myself on track with this work-in-progress. Expect slow progress, as I will be doing this between work and school. I am estimating no fewer than 10 hours once sewing begins, as I do not have a machine (but I do have two cats who enjoy playing with thread).

here)

Sewing
-Markings (4/4 legs, 2/2 masks, 0/1 wings) (Wings cannot be sewn on until body is finished)
-Body (in progress -
1,
2,
3)
--Head (done -
1,
2,
3)
--Antlers (Left 1, 2, 3 - Both painted 1, 2) Unfortunately, the modeling clay is more fragile than I anticipated. I lost the
antlers in the process of turning the pattern right-side-in. I MIGHT be able to save one, but the other is severely cracked and damaged. One or both will most likely have to be re-built from scratch.
Antler Update: Moderate success in repairing bothp antlers. We'll see if they're stable enough to continue in a few days, but it may take several repair-and-dry sessions.
--Legs (done)
--Underside
--Main Body (done, partially stuffed -
1,
2)
-Stuffing (done)
--Back marking to cover stuffing slot (mostly
done)
-Finishing touches
--Face
--Small markings

It's the Crayola brand modeling clay you can see in the background here. I don't believe it's bake-able... I think it would melt, lol. It works pretty well, but I think it needs a wire frame for something like antlers... which I don't have access to at the moment, so I tried without. Did fine until they got bent a little too much, and then they fell apart.
We use this stuff when we make pawprints for families who've put a pet down, and it works great for things like that. Antlers... Pushing it a little, but I think it'll work out alright.
Or perhaps... when you least
