I have decided to only list those he is currently active with and maybe a couple of other important relationships. Just because a deer is not listed does not mean Gustiro no longer knows or cares about them. It is just so much for me to keep up with that I think it is time I down sized it and it would be best to list mostly those currently active. I am still keeping a "complete" list for a reference for myself but not here. More deer are likely to be added later, of course, since it is late and I need sleep.

Gustiro is rapidly accepting reasons to reject companions. Loosing trust and interest. Quicker to anger or feel betrayed by. Struggling with knowing who to trust. May reject companions on different levels.
Since Gustiro has returned his mood has taken a complete turn around. He has become more insistent on holding onto those he cares for most. More demanding and attention seeking. It may almost appears he is making up lost time and is afraid to let go. Those that has hurt him the worse, however, may continue to be held at arms length if not met with aggression.

A constant presence in his forest life. Gustiro has a deep emotional attachment to these.

Gustiro receives comfort from all his deer. However these deer give him a higher amount of reassurance and he may go straight to them when under great distress. The type of distress can determine which deer he will go to for reassurance or comfort. Such as injury, illness, confusion, sadness, or deep depression. Some of these deer may even help cool his temperament in fights or even sooth him when mentally unstable.

These deer have a trait (physical, behavioral, or otherwise) that reminds Gustiro of someone or another from his human life. While Gustiro might or might not be particularly close to these deer he is still drawn to them for these traits.

Gustiro may feel betrayed by this deer or hurt in another way. He may feel they are a threat to his other companions. However Gustiro is likely to still have an emotional attachment to them.

A sign of lost trust, if there was any to begin with, or simple dislike. These are added either because of a big negative event, a repeated offense, or something simply unforgivable. Once one is added it is permanent. Three strikes and you're out, there is unlikely there will ever be trust regained again and unlikely Gustiro will ever accept the deer fully.

The more X's the more likely Gustiro will attempt to kill a deer if they end up in a fight. With one X it may depend on a situation if he will attempt a kill or not. Three X's and Gustiro will kill a deer if given the slightest chance.

Gustiro associates these deer with forbidden wanting. A want to be more then what he believes himself to be, a want above the desire to protect and serve.
A want to have and keep, to never let go or sacrifice. Silently Gustiro scolds himself in the words of phantom memories for betraying his vows. But as Gustiro continues to grow, piecing together new ways of thinking and understanding while living in The Endless Forest, he begins to abandon his phantom's long dead ideals.
If it comes down to it Gustiro may betray his own deer if only to protect, serve, and keep these specific deer.
Of course, his loyalties may lean more to one then the other.

His first born and only biological daughter.
Dinah Moon has been a long time companion to Gustiro and is the mother of his first born (and only) child, Idelle. At times their relationship had been rocky on account of both their jealous and possessive natures. For his distorted understandings of the ways of love and devotion Gustiro had once been oblivious to her affections for him and unwittingly hurt her many times. As Gustiro grows with his understandings of the forest so does his affections for Dinah Moon. Her loyalty and flow of returned affections soothes his insecurities and gives him something stable to latch onto. Gustiro clings to her like a living life preserver who keeps him from drowning in his confusions and fears.
Though they are not officially a pair Gustiro finds himself questioning whether he could or should call her his "wife" or if by his 'principles' it would even be acceptable. Either way Gustiro seems to have grown rather devoted to her as far as the opposite sex is concerned, having lost interest in the fairer sex in anything above platonic relations.
The young deer is the peace to Gustiro's war. If Gustiro is a blaze of turmoil Vodun is the stream of serenity. He flows through Gustiro's constant, violent chaos as patient and quiet loyalty. One of the few deer that had never turned antler or hoof on him. Gustiro feels more confident, more secure in what he is and what he does in Vodun's company.
A complicated relationship. A confusing and painful experience.
If Gustiro had ever loved romantically she would have been truly the first. He had even gone so far as offering to give up everything he was, did, and cared for if only for her. Gustiro still cares deeply for the dragon doe and that is unlikely to ever change. However, though he continues to ache and yearn for her he has accepted he would never be her true choice. And with his growing devotion to Dinah Moon he finds himself emotionally shutting down around Illrose.
Currently rejecting her company. Believes her to be traitorous and reinforces this belief on their many fallouts in the past.
There is a quiet, powerful love for Phaios. Not the kind of love that warrants lust or even romance. No, it is something so much more tender and sweet. Like a mother's kiss. Phaios maybe much younger then Gustiro as far as the endless time of the forest is concerned, in fact Gustiro met her when she was merely a fawn, but to Gustiro she brings him the kind of comfort only someone maternal could give. Gustiro feels safe in her presence even though he is the one that would fight fiercely to protect her.
After having given Phaios a scare their relationship has become strained. He is still very protective of her however he hesitates to get too close to her. Her obvious discomfort and underlying fear of him leaves him with an overpowering guilt that he does not know how to deal with. His confidence within himself slips when in her presence, as well as an undeserved resentment towards her.
A relationship that has had it's very high and rocky ups and downs. Gustiro met Eli one day where the red bull mistook the blue's interference in a fight as a 'rescue'. Since then Gustiro would not leave the poor fellow alone. Which left Eli often run ragged or forced to attempt chasing the bull away much to the blue stag's displeasure. Somewhere along the way however a more solid relationship formed. Gustiro becoming all the more devoted to Eli's preservation. Things spiraled down again however with an event that involved Gustiro's doe Dinah Moon and a jealousy towards a stag known as North leaving the pair at each other's throats. Well, more or less.
Things seemed to have calmed down again leaving Gustiro with a good dose of guilt. The red bull is not quite sure what to make of their current situation or relationship. Though Gustiro could be said to still want to ensure the blue's well being.

Fear, frustration, jealousy. There is so much negativity that Gustiro associates with the lovely young doe. She leaves him shaken every time he senses her near and more so when Vodun is around. Gustiro believes that the young stag had already chosen her over him once before and leaves the red bull fearing the worst the next time. Because of this he accepts her grudgingly. Though not without clinging desperately to the young stag whenever she is around who of which he is sure she will someday take away. His suspicions of her has only been reinforced by memories and experiences that do not even involve her.

The way and reason he 'claims' other deer may however be more innocent then people may realize. It amuses me to see how people interpret his behavior and what is said here as it may amuse you on how he behaves. XD A lot of it has to do with the confusion between his natural moose and human instincts, emotions and behavior. They tend to clash.
As for antler size, it plays a very large role in how Gustiro will react to other deer. Towards strangers with antlers close to his antler size Gustiro will feel intimidated by and likely to either avoid or act aggressively towards them depending on if he has claimed deer around or not. Deer that he knows well enough he is likely to try and dominate them and once a pecking order is established he tends to calm down and allow them to interact with his claimed deer. Deer with small or not so intimidating antlers he may show interest in or ignore when they interact with his claimed deer. There are exceptions to the rule but that depends on the other deer's behavior. It can also depend on his mood.
