"Illrose! What happened to your mask? And why do you look so ill, are you alright?"

[ good god, it's been ages since Selruil and Illrose have seen each other. Dx I'm a horrible person. ]

"I'd heard about Gustiro, I'm sorry I wasn't around or able to help..." The dark doe sulked for a moment, before lifting her head and gazing at the red stag near the pile of logs. Her ears instantly pinned back, and she gave a furious hiss before turning back to Illrose and perking her ears. Now that her frustrations were released some... "I see. What happened to Gustiro? I haven't seen him looking this awful since his fiasco with Tieff." She didn't ask about Eli, nor did she really want to know. Illrose kept strange, aggressive company, and if she knew her adoptive mother, she'd meet this 'Eli' soon enough. When Illrose asked how she was, she cocked one leg up. The red deer, Reed, drew closer. "I'm fine, thank you for asking. But if he puts one hoof closer, I'll rip his eyes out."

When Illrose's personality became deflated, Selruil pushed her face into the large does neck, humming softly to her. She listened quietly, her humming growing softer until she finally laughed. "He'd look nice without those eyes, wouldn't he?" She teased, keeping one eye on the white doe who had been acting friendly-ish with Reed just moments ago. One brow arched up, and she moved her neck from Illrose's neck and up to her ear. "Who is that?" She questioned, watching the lovely white doe inch closer to Gustiro. Selruil didn't really get a good vibe from her, and she and Illrose seemed to be avoiding each other. The dark doe sensed a story.

Sel flicked one ear before rolling the name around on her tongue. "Dinah Moon, huh?" What an odd name. She'd never heard anything like it before. Selruil cocked her head and turned back to Illrose, listening to the dragon doe speak of her and Gustiro, the olden days. The smaller doe nearly fell out of her skin when her adoptive mother spoke for a second time, stating that she once fought Gustiro. "No. Enemies? You two? Are you pulling my leg, Illrose?" She asked, astonished that two deer as close as they seemed could ever hate each other. She twisted around to look at the injured Gustiro, and then looked to Dinah, and then back to Illrose. Her ears wiggled slightly and she frowned, not exactly understanding what that implied. "That's hard to believe, but is that why you and Cadaver had a falling out when I was little? Because you became friends with Gustiro?" She questioned, her ears flopping out at odd angles, making her look rather goofy as she stood there.

Selruil stared at the large gray doe as she broke off. Knowing very well that there was something more, she gave Illrose a little headbutt. "Don't stop there!" She complained, wiggling closer to her in an attempt to get the dragon to continue. "That can't be all, can it? I mean, you guys are so close... Is it only because you hung around during the rut? That can't be the end of it. C'mon... What aren't you telling me?" She sat up and lifted her mouth to Illrose's ear, taking the appendage in her mouth and chomping it lightly. She then flung her front legs over the does back, humming once more against the hostage ear. If Illrose still kept quiet, then so be it. But she was going to keep that ear in her mouth until the mood lightened. It had become rather dark, and she didn't like thinking of awful things like fighting, hatred and whatnot.

Selruil looked over at the red bull, and gently nosed his flank from her position on Illrose's back. "I see. Well, at least you finished the ending." The doe purred, letting go of the hostage ear and looking around again. Reed was finally backing off, but now he had another doe with him. She pinned her ears back at the pair, watching them carefully. When they didn't move, her eyes rounded back to Illrose and Gustiro. She nuzzled the dragons neck, and settled closer, curling into a rather small ball. But her eyes didn't close, they rested on the red stag, almost unblinking. "Will you and Gustiro be alright?" She finally asked, lifting her head and letting in fall on Illrose's shoulder.

"I'm always going to worry." She stated softly, shifting to accommodate the doe's neck on her back. Selruil looked around, still watching Reed with her dark eyes. She wanted to bite his nose off. He kept swinging closer, and then moving far off. It was annoying. She couldn't keep up with his erratic behavior. "Tired..." She yawned, still keeping one eye on the stag, but let her body sag.

Selruil nodded her dark head weakly, and then closed both eyes, letting out a little yawn before falling asleep. "You sleep as well..." She murmured, partly to herself, although it was directed at Illrose.
