Many, many years ago, a pale dragon was born in a different realm. This dragon grew to be a powerful beast, yet she was a friendly and curious sort of dragon. Illrose lived peacefully among humans and other creatures for many years, until she one day returned to the place she had been born, only to find her homeland had been destroyed by humans. With cruel and powerful tools they had either murdered or taken captive the dragons who lived there. Illrose was nearly taken too, but she managed to slip away, as all the gentleness she had felt towards the humans faded, and was replaced by a fiery hatred. She waged war on the humans who had destroyed her birthplace, burned the humans and their terrible weapons, but unfortunately it was already too late; the captive dragons were beyond saving. In the end Illrose found herself alone, in a world of fire, smoke and rage.
Even after she had destroyed the humans who were responsible for the destruction of her homeplace, the hatred burned so strong in Illrose that she kept avenging the fallen dragons by burning down every village she came across. People screaming in terror as their homes were set on fire gave her a cruel satisfaction and only fuelled the fire - quite literally. Even places she had visited before, where she had lived among the humans for periods of time, fell victim to her destructive flames. She spared nothing and no one.
Eventually a group of powerful wizards got together in an attempt to stop the dragon, but these were good wizards and some of them had even known Illrose before she became driven by revenge and they believed there could still be some good in her, so they wanted to give her a second chance at life instead of trying to kill her. By combining their powers the wizards managed to cast a spell on the mighty dragon, to trap the beast into the weaker form of a human, and so they turned Illrose into a pale woman with white hair. This magic did however only last for a little while until the spell began to 'crack', giving Illrose small briefs of time where she could turn back into her true dragon form before being forced back into the weaker human shape. In the end the spell broke completely, but the human form remained a part of Illrose, only now she could change between dragon and human as she wished - without force. The magicians didn't give up though, they got together again, and this time their spell was a much more powerful one; they expelled Illrose from their realm, and trapped her in a different world entirely. The Endless Forest.
And so Illrose arrived in the Forest, far from willingly, a small fawn seething with anger after having been tricked by the magicians, but also confusion over her new cervine form and this place as a whole. At first she went by the name Ghost, feeling just as fleeting as a phantom in the beginning. But the small fawn grew into a large, antlered cow, and Illrose took back her true name as she this time began to wreck havoc within the Forest, taking her anger out on the forest inhabitats as the magicians were well out of reach. Smaller deer were sent fleeing as Illrose chased after them, finding the same cruel satisfaction in this as she had burning down villages... well, perhaps not entirely the same, but close enough. She clashed antlers with those protecting the smaller ones, not caring that she was seen as an annoyance, that she was hated and feared.
But as she remained trapped in this prison the magicians had tossed her into, things began to change. Slowly but surely not all the forest inhabitants were seen as playthings, some became individuals she respected, eventually called friends and family. Illrose engaged in playful spell wars, she swam in the pond, she danced and laughed, and suddenly she was one who has protecting the smaller ones from being hunted down. Finally one day Illrose was able to find a way back to her own world, where she could once again take on her dragon form, spread her wings and feel the wind in her mane as she soared high above the clouds. But the rage that had burned so bright within her had faded over the time spent in the Forest, so Illrose no longer sought to destroy everything in her path, nor did she feel like taking revenge on the magicians who had trapped her in the Forest in the first place. She settled down in a cave in a mountainside above a small village bustling with life, where she still lives to this day. The Forest has become a second home to Illrose, and even though she'll might be gone for some time it seems like she'll always return - sooner or later.
Johari window. Nohari window
When in a battle, Illrose will lower her antlers at her oppontent, both to protect her own body from blows, and to have her tines strike the opponent in the chest or flank. Due to her size she prefer battles where both - or all - opponents run around as little as possible. If her opponent keeps running around, she will give chase until she get tired, or give up. Can gain high speed on short distances. May also rear up to strike her opponent with her hooves, or bring her antlers down on them. Her biggest advantage is also her greatest weakness; her vast size.

A smile crept across her face
barely gave her time to lower her antlers again as they clashed together, so hard that she could feel the impact on her neck and spine. She then gasped for air as
one of his hooves hit her wound, and the next second she could feel how a warm liquid trailed down her leg as the wound began to bleed again. She stepped back
for a moment, taken aback at the sudden pain. She then snarled at the stag before she jumped forward and snapped at him. But her attack wasn't as forceful as it
had been earlier.
Once again, he pushed her
He could feel how her attempts of charging at him was getting weaker, and he felt truly bad about it seeing as it was partly his fault.
He spread his legs and let out a loud bellow. His ears had fallen back on his neck and he was breathing heavily, now suddenly realizing how exhausted he was.
She was probably thinking that he broke off the fight because he was nothing but a coward, but he couldn't let his pride come before the health of them both. One has to know when enough is enough.
He was just hoping she realized that striking her wound was an accident from his side and not a dirty trick to get in advance of her.
Illrose's legs trembled, her
now she felt that her body would collapse if she didn't stop. Still, Illrose stepped forward, preparing for another blow, but then the stag's bellowing made her flinch. She stopped dead,
stared blankly at him for a moment before she threw her head up in an arrogant, triumphant manner and roared at him. Then, with a smile on her lips, she stumbled back to the pond
where the water was a bit deeper. Pain was burning through her body, and she really needed the water to cool it off now.
Nerri had fun chasing Illrose
Haha, that's good to hear.
If Illrose hadn't been wounded and worried for her friends, she would have put much more energy into chasing Nerri as well. <3
Aww, well she enjoys chasing
The stag lowered his head and
He didn't say anything at first, just frowned at her. His injured hind leg was resting right above the ground.
He found her smile rather disturbing.
Before he even got to think any further, he took off towards her again. Leaped with all four hooves in the air and stomped before her, making the water splash all around them. He could feel how the hit towards the ground sent sudden shocks of pain up his leg, even if the water reduced the impact. He didn't show any sign of pain though, and continued stomping the ground a few more times in front of her face with his front legs.
He then forcefully clashed his antlers towards hers before finally standing still, looking her straight in the eyes.
He snorted;
"Wash that smile away from your face. How naïve are you? Do you realize how easily I could cripple you at this point?"
/dramadrama
angry Verm is angry : <
Illrose had considered the
that splashed all around her. It was dripping from her skull mask as she opened her eyes again and quickly rose to her feet with a groan of pain, just in time when their antlers
clashed together again.
"Oh, you can?! Show me, then. Do it!" She roared at him, before she leaped forward, tried to bite at his throat with fury glowing in her eyes. Almost being attacked while she
was off guard really pissed her off.
Oh my. D:
He was certainly not prepared
He felt her teeth tighten around his throat, and he almost choked on himself, not seeing it coming. He pulled back, shaking his head and antlers profusely to make her loose the grip.
Then he charged again - this time aiming for her legs. Without legs, you can't fight.
He managed to pull off a strong hit with his antlers against her legs. He wasn't sure exactly what he hit, but he could hear the cracking sound of antlers against knuckles.
Illrose isn't doing things easy for herself lol
She's way too persistent for her own good. xD
Also, you decide yourself if this RP counts for Illrose or not. :')
Her jaws locked around his
and she lost the grip. She snarled in irritation, and quickly tried to lower her antlers when he charged again. But this time she wasn't quick enough, and his antler hit one of her legs. She could
hear the sound of something crushing inside of it, as a burning pain shot through her leg and almost made her stumble over. She quickly retreated, heavily limping on the leg he had hit with his antler.
It wasn't completely broken, but the impact had crushed something in her kneecap. She stared angrily at Verm, wanted to attack despite the pain, but she knew it was enough. She would just destroy
herself completely if she continued now. She licked her lips, and grimaced at the taste of blood in her mouth.
Lol, right now she's just being stupid. xDD
And I think I'll make it count. :b
He watched her closely. This
He wondered what was holding the doe together; it certainly couldn't be much. He was only relieved he wasn't fighting her when she was up and about. She would most likely kill him if no one broke off.
It looked like she wasn't going to fight anymore.
"Is it enough, or do you want more!" he roared. "I can easily finish you off here and now if you give me a reason to."
He wasn't being completely honest, just playing along with what she said earlier. He would never want to kill anyone unless forced to. No. In fact, he felt bad about this all even if everything he had done had been done in defense. He clung to the thought that he at least had showed her that he was right; that her body and mind wasn't adjusted to the same frequency.
"Sometimes, words just is not enough for someone. Do you now realize what I tried to tell you earlier, Illrose?"
He had to admit to himself though; he was impressed by her performance. He couldn't remember to have encountered a doe this tough before.
He coughed, suddenly realizing that a thick, dark liquid was dripping from his throat.
Blood.
The adrenaline was still pumping in his body so he couldn't feel much pain from it right now, but he knew that he would later.
Wow this was long.
Verm's words provoked her,
"It's enough." She answered, her voice tired, but still with an cold edge to it. But she then raised her head and glared at him.
"I do understand what you tried to tell me. Still, I would have finished you off, if the circumstances were different." Illrose looked at him once more, before she turned her neck,
and bent her body so she was able to reach the wound on her shoulder, licking away the blood.
He gave her a slight nod. He
He looked at her for a while. Not smiling, not frowning, not thinking he's any better than her.
Emotionless, distant - but still proud.
And then he joined her. Laid down in the water right beside her and cooled down his own wounds.
Illrose didn't protest as the
"So, have you been here a long time? I have never seen you before." Her voice did not reveal the pain that shot through her body in painful pulses.
He was relieved she didn't
He didn't turn his head when he heard her talk to him, but his ear and eyes turned towards her.
Then he looked straight forward again.
"No."
Illrose didn't give any reply
the cold water, feeling the pain aching through her body, not only from the fight with Verm, but from fighting those who had tried to protect Jergens when she
killed him. They had been many, and made her task difficult but she had made it...or at least, she had believed she did. But now she knew Jergens was still
alive. And Jack was dead. It was unfair, and it made anger rise inside of her. Illrose sighed, and let her head rest on her still healthy front leg.
(you got comment 666) Verm
Verm wasn't the type to keep conversations. He would rather share moments of silence instead of words. That was just the way he was; he had never been good at chattering. Sure, he could be confident preaching about morals and such, but other than that, he was pretty much awkward.
Nevertheless, he could feel Illrose's worry.
"What are you sighing over?"
A rhetorical question. It was obvious that something was bothering her, and he wasn't interested in knowing more than that. Details didn't interest him. The tone the question was said in was harsh, but he probably didn't mean to.
"Some things just are out of your range. Do not waste your energy by worrying over it."
"Nothing." She replied in a
she didn't know him at all, and didn't see any reason to tell him about personal problems. Illrose then snorted.
"I'm not worrying." It was true, she didn't worry. No, she was sad, devastated, and pissed off.
Gah, I knew that, but forgot to comment it. D: >)
"It is just words. Something
He didn't really care that she seemed angry with him. She wouldn't attack him now anyway, and he didn't have the interest of making a friendship with her.
He was just worried about her health. Had to check on her. That was the least he could do after hurting her.
He stretched his neck out to his knee and rested on it. Closed his eyes. Deep inhale.
(lol sorry I'm being uncreative, but this RP is going towards the end anyway. xD)

"Yes, something is bothering me, but I don't feel like sharing it with you." Her tone wasn't cold anymore, just emotionless. All the fights lately had tired her and she really
needed to rest now.
Same here, I think we just can end it now. But it was fun. :')

"Yes. I actually did miss you. Quite surprised myself." She smiled teasingly. No, he didn't need to know how much she really had missed him. She hadn't been prepared for

He laughed... a squaling,
"Hmm... that's surprising indeed... actually thought i would do my best, that no one would miss me here, yes...? he he... oh well ecept of one person.... of course... he he he...." he grinned and raised an eyebrow...
"Ah.. while.... while we're at it... how... how long was I gone, eh?"
late reply is late |D
It was actually
that didn't know anything about life yet. Illrose immediately understood who he was talking about.
"Yeah, Jane. I met her a couple of times while you were...gone." It was as if the sorrow had brought the two of them together, at least temporary.
"How long? I have no idea. A week, maybe? It wasn't that long." At least, not as long as it had felt.
"hm hm... sweet... sweet
...at least he could tell her that he kept his promise.
Suddenly he started to grin again. "Heh, one week, eh? Hm hm... not bad, not bad... the forest indeed has its own meaning of time..." he giggled.
Illrose gave a simple nod,
"Where were you while you were gone?" She asked, while she rubbed her aching knee carefully. She had to learn when to take
breaks from her fights to let her body fully recover before she continued.
He looked up to her... gave
He was pondering if that information wouldn't let her too close again... he really needed to be more careful what he was saying around that doe, yes...
... but this piece of information...
... he smiled, the most innocent smile a fawn could do. "Home." he replied shortly.
Illrose tilted her head,
"Home? And where is that?" She asked, before a smile formed her own lips, and she laughed.
"Perhaps that's what I have to do. Die, and return back home." She laughed again by the thought of how surprised the magicians would have been if she
had returned, when they probably thought they were rid of her for good.
"Oh, yes, yes.. if you want
"Ah.. 'home...' home... hehe where is that... yes that's a good question, yes..." he remembered the talk to his sister earlier. Again his voice sounded thoughtful.
"This home is just another prison they locked me up. What i called home is dead now... crushed... he he destroyed for years now. years.... goddamn wasted years..."
it seemed his mind were somewhere else again.
She laughed. "Yeah, I do
"Yeah, I do actually wanna go home that badly. But there is no guarantee it works the same way for me as it did for you?" She shook her head. No, she couldn't just get herself killed.
That would give those who disliked her a satisfaction they didn't deserve. And besides, she had to stay here and protect Kheiron, she couldn't just leave him. Illrose shook the thoughts
away, and looked back at Jack.
"Destroyed by what?" She asked. That was something she could have done, back home. Destroying villages and peoples homes has been almost like a hobby to her.
He giggled. "Ah, one can
He shook his head, made a grumplig noise.
"Guess.. guess you wouldn't understand, yes...? he he.."
He had no doubt she wouldn't understand 'war'... but this was some information... he wanted to keep tho himself again...
Yeah she can't just leave
xD
"Think I'll see if my friend
the forest and his own home at his own will, she just didn't know exactly how. With a snort, she sat down and glared at Jack.
"Try me." She said, tilting her head and waiting for him to continue.
Mini;
Lol, I'm pretty sure Illrose won't leave Kheiron. <3
"War." he simply replied, not
Something he would never admit... but those memories were much too painful for him.. too painful to talk about... to even think about... to even admit they exist...
Imediately he started to grin again, forced his mind to lock them up again.
These memories where one of the main reasons for his... well 'Strangeness' at times. A part of his mind was constantly busy with locking up what tears him up from the inside.
"So you don't want to stay in this prison here either, yes...?" he giggled...
"Oh. I'm sorry." Illrose
thought she knew how he felt. So little she really knew about Jack and his past. She knew only of Hannah - someone he clearly had cared a lot about - and now this war.
"No, I really don't." She replied with a slight smile.
"He he... you won't believe
She was a dragon. At least she claimed herself to be one. He never believed in things like that... on the other hand... he wasn't human anymore as well... so... if something like him could exist... why not a dragon...? And if a world like this exists, inhabited by talking deer... why not a world inhabited by dragons, yes?
Beeing a dragon must be nice... so much power... so much destruction that could be caused... he snickered.
A no... he would stick to his own body... it was fragile yes... but he liked it... after all...
"Ah... won't stay for long this time, oh no.... soon i will say bye bye forever, stinkender wald.... hehe.." he continued.
"Actually, I think I do." It
But instead the smile vanished from her face, and her eyes grew cold as she rose to her feet.
"What do you mean you won't stay? Why did you even bother to return if you're not gonna stay?" She asked, sharp and aggressively.
He rose an eyebrow, looked up
He smiled. Interesting... this... reaction...
"Well... " he started in a calm voice... that somehow sounded satisfied... "...I can't leave my sister alone, yes...? She wouldn't survive, yes...?"
He kept silence about that he wouldn't survive either... or that he needed her help to break out of their prison on the other side.
Yes... it was impossible to leave this place without her.
Illrose glared down at Jack,
"She is a big girl, I'm sure she would." She replied through tightened jaws. She now realized that Jack had planned his own death from the beginning. This game of his...he never intended to win.
"When do you leave?" She asked after a moment in silence. Her voice wasn't angry anymore, now it was just empty.
Again this smile. ... what
... what what...? This dragonlady... it seems she really liked him, eh...? Wonder.. wonder what he could do with that, maybe another game...?
Wouldn't he miss her as well?... NEVER... are you crazy, yes? he he
He shook his head "Heh... trust me.. she's everything.. eccept a big girl..."
Finally he got on his hooves.. stretched our and kissed her chin.
... not really elegant, since he had to stand on his hint legs to even reach up to her head.
"Don't worry my love... not that soon for now, yes...?"
Again... he didn't mention that he actually had to convince jane to leave the forest with him... that he had to wait until he was strong enough.... to kill her.
Illrose just shook her head,
when he really just was back to get his sister. She closed her eyes for a moment when she felt him kissing her chin, before she pulled away.
"The longer you stay this time, the worse it'll be when you leave again." She replied shortly, before she slowly began to walk toward the pond. Her knee was beginning to hurt again.
He nearly fell over when she
He snickered, followed her towards the pond. He was humming a little melody before he started to talk again.
"Ah... think.. think i should do something... something that wouldn't let you miss me again then, yes...? he he he... just.. just let me think for a while... maybe.. maybe..."
He snickered again. "on... on the other hand... just leaving from here would hurt enough yes...?" he looked up to her again, a mischievous spark glowing in his eyes.
