» The Scorpion's Sting.
Tail is deadly equipped with venom, see here for symptoms. Always uses her stinger during fights but does not always envenom her targets. The usage of venom will be indicated by sneezing her antlers off to default.
» Unhallowed.
The light and the holy is harmful to her body, this includes substances and magic. Primarily in the forest, the devout spell rapidly scorches her fur and flesh and can even result in death if she is over exposed to it. Once upon a time, owned a magical blockade in the form of a pendant that blocked any kind of magic thus protecting her from the devout's harmful effect but it has long since been lost.

- Not seeking offspring, participating solely for the social aspect.
- Switches between competitor and judge (default antlers + poppies = competing), though due to a recent injury resulting in the loss of her left eye will likely be keeping to the sidelines until the eye has fully regrown (somewhere around the 7th to spare me from updating this again hahaha god I'm lazy)

A shrug is made before she replies, her voice monotone. "No. I used Buttons to provoke him to get a good run, I hardly layed a paw on her." Her eyes narrow with suspicion when he speaks of Reed, though she doesn't make a response to what he said yet. She releases a heavy snort, obsidian eyes rolling. "You wish. I can feel my eyes burning at the sight of that thing."

Mild curiosity rises, she finally asks, "It bothers you that I spend time with Reed, doesn't it? Otherwise you wouldn't have pointed it out. You've noticed it when I'm hardly around him compared to others, and even then who's to say the encounters are always pleasant."

"How nice of you." His eyes

"How nice of you." His eyes only narrow slightly as he speaks, though, truth was he was severely annoyed at how she didn't seem to take it seriously.
The situation reminded him of times when they had to protect others. "So you beat him up because he protected her? If she's the one you hate then why not hit her?" He knew he couldn't tell her to stop, but why attack the deer who is only protecting? Why not the one you actually don't like? Even though he didn't want her to attack either of them, attacking the one she hated seemed to make more sense to him.

The wolf shrugged. Not like he'd tell her how he felt. "I'm not bothered. Just noticed you with him more often."

---
no.

The demon scowls, brows

The demon scowls, brows furrowing. How predictable.
Her tone turns sour. "..Yep, Kody. How nice of me, because I'm really an angel. If you actually listened I told you that no, that's not why I attacked him. Why should I even bother explaining myself? Nothing I do ends up in your good book. Hey my name is Umay, and I'm the dissapointment in my brother's life." Her voice becomes dull and for a while lacks emotion behind it when she speaks again, though inside she is both hurt and angry. "I am no saint Kody, you're expecting too much from me. I used to pick fights all the time back then yet you rarely scolded me for it. But now with your efforts of trying to get me to stop, which has worked a treat by the way, you react worse to it. You never appreciate anything I do anymore. You don't even realize how hard I've been trying for only you, because you're the only one who has a problem with who I am." Her cold gaze is held against the wolf, though with no intentions to appear intimidating.
"Everything I've done has all been for nothing, because the only thing I seem to do now is piss you off when I just wanted to make you proud. I can't see that happening anymore."

--
lol yes. Twisted

He stands there still as she

He stands there still as she speaks, pupils contracting as he listens. His look is probably unintentionally intimidating. Her words fill him with both shock and anger. Never appreciate it? A problem? Only for him? He was close to snapping.

The worst part was that no matter what he said, she'd most likely just get more angry with him. Saying his words carefully would be hard when he was in such a foul mood. He did care. He did appreciate it. Did she not realize that it hurt to see her injured? Or that one day revenge would smack them in the face and endanger the rest of their family? What she was saying was close to making him quit. Just let her do it. Let her be injured. Watch their family suffer. Accept it. However, he knew he'd have to keep trying. Even if she didn't think so. He wasn't willing to pay the price of these fights.

"You know why I do it, Umay? You really wanna know why?" He moves to her side, looking down at her wounds. "These. Your injuries. Nothing to you perhaps. But as gay and cheesy as it sounds, I care about when you get hurt. I don't like seeing you injured and I know you can look after yourself. I know that by now. I'm no fool. Maybe stupid for caring so much, but if the fight got worse and you were fatally injured and I wasn't there, then how do you think I would feel?" The wolf pulled away, pupils returning to normal, he faced his sister. "I have no problem with who you are. I never have. I just don't want people to come after us. I don't want our friends to be chased for what we've done. I don't want to come here and see you hurt. You don't even know how it feels for me when I come here and see I wasn't there to help you." He pauses, he can tell his words will cause some sort of fury. He continues though, better to get it all out. "I do appreciate it. And perhaps it is my fault for not showing you how pleased I am. You probably won't believe me when I say that I am proud, but I really am. Maybe I get more pissed because I haven't seen you injured for a reason like this for a while. If you don't like what I'm doing then, it's your choice. I just wanted to stop you from being hurt so much. I'm doing it for us, because you're my sister and I love you and because I don't want see your blood spilled around the forest." His voice remains surprisingly calm throughout it all. He thinks about what he said, knowing she'd not be happy. "I know you're probably angry with what I said...but just know that I am proud and that I'm sorry for not showing it so well."

The ebony wolf awaited her reply, knowing it would probably be horrible for him to hear.

long post is looooong.

Her eyes fearlessly meet with

Her eyes fearlessly meet with the wolf's infuriated expression, fixing onto his contrasting fire and ice gaze. She feels no need to be frightened by her brother. A predator just like her, a dangerous beast in the eyes of others. He claims he doesn't want her scathed, so Umay knows he wouldn't be the one to tear her.

Likely to Kody's surprise, his words do the opposite of enraging the lioness, they make her come to realization; she is so easily blinded by rage, taken in by urged temptations of blood thirsty intents, her humane thoughts are so quickly pushed aside by predatory instincts; the want to hunt, kill, devour. To thrive. But it's hard to end something that's not only built into her mind, but also a passion. Something she lusts for, dare she ever admit it.

Umay became too focused on the risks she was heedlessly placing on herself, too aware of the danger she was putting her life at, believing that she could handle herself and whatever life threw at her so much that she selfishly never realized what she was doing to her family and friends. Always stupidly believing that those who had nothing to do with her crimes would remain safe. Kody was right in every sense. The one who would willingly put her life on the line for those she loved, the one who would readily slaughter those who harmed them without remorse, would be the one to cause the pain on those she lives for.
Perhaps Rui or Shay would fall victim to revenge because of Umay's doings, or maybe even Seth. Umay would never be able to forgive herself for being at fault for the death of one of them. Or Djinn, Adriian, Crucio, Sho. Pandora, Leviathann, Shineri... Kody. And there were so many others to choose from. It wasn't a risk worth taking.

After some time, her head slowly and submissively lowers as she turns away, allowing the long flow of thick ebony girlfromthering hair to hang loosely over her bleached and pale features. A strong feeling of humilliation over her stupidity wipes out every other emotion that she felt during Kody's response, and because of that the feline is unsure of what to say. Silence ensues for a while, until finally she manages to speak.

"Sorry..." Compared to everything Kody had said to her, her short speech was nothing. "..I've been an idiot." There's a small, uncertain chuckle followed after, made hestitantly and quiet enough to be barely audible. It was likely to have gone unheard. "I'm sorry."

The Melanic Wolf is surprised

The Melanic Wolf is surprised by the Demoness' response. It was far from what he expected. This alone is another thing that made him proud. She had not snapped at him. It was a nice surprise.

The canine moved forward, slowly walking by her side. His ebony fur brushed along the side of her face and neck, before he put his head on her back. "You're not an idiot." His voice matched her quietness. "The fact you didn't get angry there proves that you're doing well." The wolf's hug became tighter. "Now stop saying sorry you pussy." He joked, voice becoming louder as his tail slowly waved from side to side.

The doe stood nervously by

The doe stood nervously by the bridge, a rather fat bird hanging from her mouth by a mangled foot. A light whuffing sound was her way of politely asking for attention, namely from the cat-demoness. The bird was for her, after all. Ears and body lowered in a submissive posture, she waited to see how she would be received and if at all she would.

The feline had caught sight

The feline had caught sight of Poplar shortly after following Trees and Miyako away from the fawn's body who had recently been murdered. She approaches, nothing but silence spilling from her lips as she waits for Poplar to speak, dulled eyes occasionally glancing down to the plump bird.
GlobalBeauty's picture

The doe nearly collapsed

The doe nearly collapsed under her nerves, but managed a light bow before she set the kill down in front of the cat. "It looks like you could use this, so I thought I might bring you one." Polite was all she could be in this situation. Thanking Kody, giving Umay a gift... the doe tempted fate as she waited for either a reply or a retort.
Siggies by Carry & Amazengalo

Her usual cold stare seems

Her usual cold stare seems surprisingly empty. Emotionless. When the bird falls, two void-like eyes follow its body as it hits the ground. Still, she remains quiet a moment longer.
"I've hunted you down like the beast I've been named. I'm you're killer, do you not remember?" Her words are not meant to be threatening, not at all. They lack a specific tone, it's clear her question was sincerely spoken. "I don't understand why you gift me when I once helped to destroy your very existance."

She doesn't yet decide to accept the treat.
GlobalBeauty's picture

A breath, and she speaks

A breath, and she speaks finally. "I only know that because Wendingo told me. Umay, I remember nothing from my past. I don't want to remember anything from my past, because I am not... whatever I was then." Shame colors Poplar's face for even thinking she was how she thought she might've been. A smile chases the serious frown from the doe's features. "According to the tiny bits Wen has said, I was not the best being in the forest. By killing me, you wound up fixing that. So, I am grateful and give you a fat bird. That's why." The doe let her eyes drift momentarily to the dead thing in front of her. Its feathers seemed rumpled.
Siggies by Carry & Amazengalo

There's a long pause after

There's a long pause after the doe finishes speaking.

How can you smile knowing the things I did?

"I don't know where we'll go from here, but.." Her skull points down towards her paws where rested the dead bird. She hesitates, "Th-... thanks." For a moment she feels sick having to say something so kind to someone she used to loathe so much, but it hardly lasts a second. Things were in the past, it was time to be rid of old grudges. She herself wasn't exactly the angel in this situation.

Her jaws tightly clench around the bird's body, small teeth piercing through the feathers as she carries the winged creature. The demon casts a last glance towards Poplar before she continues on her way.

The blue-gray and white stag

The blue-gray and white stag emerged from the trees in approach toward Umay. It had only been a few months in the forest for him so far, but Haakon had grown to accept the different ways and tastes. Although he still longed for home, he could at least take comfort in knowing he had a relative within the never ending forest of insanity. However whether or not Umay felt friendly toward the ass of a deer was completely unknown to him, as Haakon wasn't exactly friendly when it came to conversation, even if it was with his sister.

"Umay." Greeted the stag with a quick nod, but no affectionate nuzzle or touch. He felt distant as if a raven had swept its black wings over him and carried him to the darkest depths of the oceans. "Are you well?" He asked.

Chestnut ears point in the

Chestnut ears point in the direction Haakon approaches from, the lioness stays silent whilst her brother moves towards her. Umay's surprised to see him, though she doesn't show it. If she knew how he was coping with his new life in the forest though, she'd be proud, but the chances are she wouldn't admit it. Umay knew exactly how difficult it was to adjust from a predator's lifestyle to one where they had to live civilly with the very animals that they preyed upon - their source of survival; their food. She also knew how difficult it was to leave everyone behind that they cherished.. family, friends. She felt at ease to have at least one link to her family around, and it was also a relief to now know that one of her two brothers were safe and alive... she missed Haakon before he arrived in the forest. But again, she wouldn't admit that.

Despite their last sour conversation, Umay doesn't appear to have a problem with Haakon being here. She hasn't forgotten, it even cross her mind at the sight of him, and although she hasn't taken it to heart she still wishes for an apology.
She doesn't expect to get one.

"Yeah." Her short, monotone reply could easily be considered a lie, but the demoness doesn't plan to explain. Her tone lightens up as she speaks again, not wanting Haakon to feel unwelcomed by her recent hostility. He shouldn't have to deal with her moods. After all, he did bother to come find her. "What about you? I haven't seen you around for a while, you okay..?" Unaware of how he's been doing, she's unsure whether or not to be concerned over his dissapearance.

sorry if there's typos by the way, I always manage to miss them out even if I check through LOL.

"Good." He replied half

"Good." He replied half awkwardly. How else is one to reply to 'Yeah'? The stag looked around slowly, just to admire the scene. Although the sight of a fawn prancing around in the distance got him to look back at Umay. "I'm fine. I was just.. away. Adjusting to this new lifestyle. Which, I have." A brief paused filled the air. "Doesn't mean I like it though. I think I'm homesick." That.. and I haven't gotten laid in Gods-know-how-long now. But he kept that last part to himself. No need to express his sexual frustrations to his sister.

/ otl. Poor Haakon. LOL Can you imagine him coming out all "I NEED SOME UNFUNF UMAY GOT ANY HOT DOE-FRIENDS?" /LOL

The feline casts a glance

The feline casts a glance towards the fawn too, silently watching the child until her obsidian orbs meet with Haakon's again. She listens further, nodding in response. She's glad he's okay. "I miss home too." A shrug follows on.

Admitting Haakon's starvation in such things would probably be useless for him to admit, there'd be no way in hell she'd be giving him suggestions on the matter. "What was life like before you came here? We hardly talked when we grew up."

--
..LOL, poor Haakon. /pet
Umay'd be like "GET THE FUQ AWAY FROM MY PRETTY FRIENDS B|"

He thought carefully on her

He thought carefully on her question for a while. It wasn't that he couldn't remember, but his life back from where they'd came was different. She was right, they never did talk much, Haakon always sort of.. went his own way. "Life was good. I lived, by choice, in solitude. I hunted my own meals and enjoyed the company and both males and females from time to time." Said the stag. He glanced in the direction of the pond. "I was growing old though. I still am old, for all I know, but here I feel younger again. I wonder if I've aged in reverse when I came here, if I will continue to, or am I stuck like this, forever." Haakon muttered and then looked at her with a growing smirk. "At least I still look damn good. But what about you..? Do you age here? Do you feel stronger, weaker? What do you remember from where we came from?" Asked the curious stag.

- - -

LOOL Oh god. D8 'B-but I just.. PLEASE' /LOL

A simple reply, having not

A simple reply, having not been given as much detail as she desired, "I see." Her eyes roll towards his vain statement, how predictable of him. "You wish, no old man looks good." A quick pause, "I don't know, I'm the same as I was before I came here.. minus appearance, but I haven't aged for a long time so I guess not." Umay takes a moment to contemplate an answer to Haakon's question, but it takes longer than expected. Not because she couldn't remember, but so much had happened. Bits and pieces were broken from her memory, and most lingering fragments were pieces she would rather forget; things that frequently plagued her mind, held her back from moving forward.

"There's a lot to say, it depends on what you'd want to know. The last thing that happened to me before I came here was having to be alone for quite a long time. The friends I had before either split up or abandoned each other, we went our seperate ways. It didn't bother me so much.. I missed them of course, still do, but I felt betrayed by one of them because of what happened. Jay, the human, if you've ever met him? He was well known.. It's where the seperation started because he left us for other humans. I was used to company or being part of one of the prides, but I was more than capable of taking care of myself too." A shrug follows, having rambled on. "Were you in a pride?" Her head tilts almost immediately after, another question coming to mind. "Also.. there is one thing worth mentioning. When we were young you fell in love with a female called.. Violet, I think? What happened between you two? I had the feeling she dissapeared but I can't remember that far back..." She wasn't sure if it was actual love or if he was just being.. Haakon. "I'm pretty sure you were a dick to Gabriel too one time just for being friendly with her, but I'm not surprised. If I can remember anything it's that you two didn't always get along, hah."

It seemed that his sister

It seemed that his sister didn't recall much either. As the sound of a fawn nearby yelled into the forest, causing his ear to twitch with irritation, he snorted. Of course he looked good in old age. It wasn't impossible. Then he shrugged at the mention of the human Jay. Sure, he'd heard of him before, but why would any predator accept the company of a human rather than eat them was beyond Haakon's understanding. The rest of what Umay said seemed to blur.

Her questions that followed are what snapped him back to a less day-dreamy state, but it kept him somewhat stone-still. Haakon cleared his throat. "A few, but their names aren't important to me anymore. They all had crappy leaders anyway. Misguided, misinformed fools who thought they fed on the blood of others. Little did they know that the blood of others was feeding on them." A pause filled the air as he recalled back to the name Violet. He recognized the name and a strange feeling lingered with it, but beyond that, nothing. "No idea, honestly. Probably just another clingy 'ess who found me overly attractive. And oh, please, obviously we didn't get along. Gabriel was competition to my good looks." He gave a grin and tilted his head to the sky and strutted forward, circled Umay, then stopped in front of her again with his head lowered.

"Remind me not to do that again." Said the stag having closed his eyes for a moment before re-opening them. "Sometimes I forget just how heavy these antlers are."

DogTog: Umay's attention

DogTog:
Umay's attention barely swings towards the fawn this time, instead her focus remains fixed onto her brother. Haakon wasn't the only one who was surprised by the friendship between the human and lion, she became quite known for being 'human friendly'.

A small snort is released before she speaks, an amused tone clear in her voice. "Glad I'm not the only one who suffered their crap leadership." As Haakon circles her, she mock-gags as she appears disgusted by the mere appearance of him. "Shouldn't you have grown out of your teenage big-headed-I'm-so-full-of-myself phase already if you're as old as you claim to be?" She shifts away, much prefering to keep some personal space alive. A grin tugs at her mouth, "Too pussy to hold up that tiny rack of antlers? You won't impress any ladies with that weakness, you gotta be strong like me~" She teases.

"Why are you on me? I'm not

"Why are you on me? I'm not your bed, 'Moo-moo," the bull chuckled, glancing over his shoulder to look at the feline. She had maybe half of her body propped on top of his back and didn't seem keen on getting off any time soon.

He didn't mind the touch of course. "Am I comfortable?"

She remains comfortably

She remains comfortably sprawled out across the bull's back, eyes taking a peek at his face as a smirk finds its way across her features. "Very."

"Growing up is boring. You

"Growing up is boring. You get wrinkly and smell and eventually rot." Scoffed the deer with a smirk. "Strong like you? Oh I bet you get all the ladies, you handsome male you." Haakon teased back. Although it got him thinking about his age and how he behaved. Was he really so childish? No, of course not. The stag shook all such thoughts from his skull and stepped back. "What do you do for fun in the forest?" He asked.

- - -

THIS LAYOUT IS SEXY. <3

"Well unfortunately for you

"Well unfortunately for you you're going to wrinkle up with age anyways." An open gaze is held against the stag for a second longer before she adds to her sentence, "On the plus side you'll drop dead soon." A brief smirk. "Hell yeah, get all the men too. Heh, what do I do for fun? Well, I chill with my hot male and female friends of course. Jealous~?" She brags in a teasing manner, knowing well that Haakon wasn't quite the popular type. It wasn't long until her shoulders rolled once more as the lioness shrugged. There wasn't really much to do in the forest. "Don't want to disappoint you or anything but I guarantee you won't have much fun here. Suppose you could try hunting down someone small, would be funny to watch the outcome."

THANKS <3

Haakon didn't seem as amused

Haakon didn't seem as amused about growing old, wrinkly and dropping dead. He briefly stuck his tongue out at her and made a funny face. "The only thing I am is sorry that they have to hang with someone like you." Teased the stag in reply. Although it couldn't hurt to get to know more of Umay's friends and the other deers in the forest. It would be beneficial.

"Hunt down someone small?" Haakon echoed that part of her sentence and thought it over carefully. "I suppose you are right with that one. Know of anyone small and insignificant for me to hunt down or shall I just molest every small fawn in the forest?" He said with a laugh.

Umay snorts, hardly offended. "No need to worry, they adore my company." Never is she this cocky, but she means no other than to rub it in his face that has friends. "I'm just sorry my arrogant brother can't even make a single friend. Oh, his lack of social skills is so saddening.." The feline comments, her voice plastered in sarcasm. She didn't really pity him, barely even cared about his social life.

Obsidian eyes light up when an idea springs to mind. "Tag along with me and I'll point out some." She only wants to see her brother get into trouble, get a taste of her life.

Haakon rolled his eyes. "Who said I wanted to make friends?" He said with a snort. Although he wouldn't mind company now and then. His sisters attitude was annoying and hard to put up with after a while. ".. Fine then. Point out some for me and I'll have all the fun I'll ever need." Haakon said. Although he was unsure about letting Umay point out others he didn't know just so he could cause some trouble. Then again, what better things had he to do?

Good, because unfortunately

Good, because unfortunately for Haakon that was exactly Umay's goal. Haakon was always arrogant to her, so she believed it to be only fair for her to behave the way he did. "Oh yeah that's right, my superior brother doesn't need friends does he?" A question not meant to be answered as she releases a half-hearted laugh. "Oh well, spending the rest of your life all alone must be so much more entertaining."

The feline decides not to respond to Haakon's last statement as there was nothing to say.

Haakon stared at her for a moment before he shook his head and turned away with his head tilted over his shoulder slightly. "As long as I'm alone, I can't be disappointed." Although realizing Haakon was being completely serious with his answer, she can't help but allow a brief smirk, even if she knew well what he meant. "You'd rather hide from it than confront it? And apparently I stooped to some lows." She retorts even whilst he walks away, her answer being similar to what he once said to her not long ago. Just to remind him, if he heard. "Dissapointment will always find you." Her gaze averts from her dissapearing brother, Umay returns to quietly lounging as she had done before Haakon had approached.

It seemed almost as if the conversation never happened.
