The light and the holy is harmful to her body, this includes substances and magic. Primarily in the forest, the devout spell rapidly scorches her fur and flesh and can even result in death if she is over exposed to it. Once upon a time, owned a magical blockade in the form of a pendant that blocked any kind of magic thus protecting her from the devout's harmful effect but it has long since been lost.

The canine followed the scent
The Melanic Wolf stopped in front of her. Contrasting eyes scanned over her, inspecting her wounds. He remained silent for the most part. Drawing closer to nuzzle her, he caught the scent of other deer. His ears lowered a little and he slowed down in going in to give her affection. How he only hoped what he was thinking wasn't true. For now he had to put it behind and wait to hear what she had to say about it. Quickly shaking his head, he continued with his nuzzle before stepping back.
"So what's the story this time?" His voice was like a groan, it was clear he wasn't too happy. "Anyone I need to beat up?" The wolf didn't expect her to answer his last question, not when he could guess what deer were involved. Then again it was possible that she had been with others after the fight. Hopefully she'd tell him what happened anyway.
A single ear flicks back
The feline notices the hesitiation in his affection, she becomes slightly bothered by it, perhaps even mildly offended. Still, she returns the gesture by softly rubbing her head against under his cheek, already forgetting about her previous thoughts; they had no importance.
A quiet sigh is released before speech, "Don't worry, I started it." She doesn't expect him to be surprised, even if she'd been on a successful roll of not savagely picking on others. "As you probably guessed. How's the hair..?" A change of topic, though she did wonder whether he liked it or not.

His ears lifted as she changed the topic though lowered again. He couldn't tell if she was trying to avoid talking about her injuries or not but he answered nevertheless. "Yeah...it's good, thanks. I'm used to having short hair anyway..."

"Why were you fighting him?" He was curious if it was to do with Buttons or if she just thought he'd be a good target. Either way, he still wasn't pleased. "Did you attack him just because he defended Buttons that time?" He paused for a moment before speaking again. "Reed...suppose that would explain a lot. You seem to be hanging out with him more than normal..." Although he didn't mind Reed and had actually fought for him before, he noticed how they became closer and started play fighting together. One could say Kody was jealous, though he would beg to differ. He simply felt pushed to the side. "I thought we'd gotten over the stage of picking fights..." A a tone of disappointment was clear in his voice.
The corners of his mouth turned up to form a smile, though it faded very quickly. "Heh...yeah. Of course you wanna see my sexy face." A half-hearted joke.
