The elder hind had roamed the forest for years, nearly a decade now and during each and every season there had been a fellow red deer lurking near by. This year he wasnt, no matter how hard she looked he wouldnt be there. The Silverine hind was well aware of his passing but only during this time she would have to accept it, The mighty Red was gone.
Lucky or not, she wasn't the only one looking for him. The Silverine had seen a familiar white male looking for someone, desperately. As the days passed she figured it must have been Red, the only one among Saosin who was nowhere to be found. With heavy heart the Silverine approached the white male, Kostya. She was unsure if he would recognize her or remember her, her visits to the forest after Red's passing had been scarce.
"Hey-.." Her voice was quiet, whisperlike. Soft. Welcoming. She bit her teeth together, unsure of how to proceed but knowing Kostya had every right to know that his search would end in failure. "I have been looking for him, too." She stated after a short silence, sigh escaped her parted lips. "Yet neither of us can find him as Mother Earth has taken him back to be one of her own. Kostya, Red has passed." Her blood red eyes softly looking upon the male, slightly fearful when her time would come. Her friend wasn't too much older than her.

Special thanks to Rouda for throwing Kauna at Kostya and giving me the above response. I ended up getting double the feels cos she's Rhona's mum
Kostya has had one of Virgil's sets of dropped antlers by the bar for a while, now they're just that bit more special. They're up on this tree here.
JUst sad screams... Omg. ;_; Kau bb...
What a lovely, yet mournful exchange...
The art is looking gorgeous... I love how it's been overall concluded, the expressions between the characters and the gentle quietness of it.
Well done. <3 And thank you.
This is a lovely tribute to the Red and the friendships shared with him.
Loving Kostya's expressions and that last image especially, conveys things perfectly.
The end is so nice. No screaming or crying. No really noticeable outbursts of emotion, just the two of them paying respects to the now very important antlers by the bar. It's interesting seeing Kostya's changes in body language throughout. Ahh, so nicely sad.
Gentle screaming...
cue louder screaming?

Yeah, portraying it that way just felt right, I think sometime subtle things can hit just as hard.
