Kaoori heard the commotion of another deer nearby, and looked up to see a fawn with her hoof stuck in a rock. Her ears perked forward, and the little doe trotted over, concern crossing her face.

"Are you okay, little one? Can you move your hoof? " She craned her neck down to look at where the poor fawn's leg had been caught, wondering how to set her free.

Kaoori let out a soft laugh. "Quad... thank you. But please rest. If something comes.. I will let you know." She nosed behind his ear in appreciation.

Kaoori laughed quietly. She herself was quite clumsy, and she felt sorry for the little fawn. "Hold still, and when I tell you to pull your hoof out, go for it. Maybe we can do this together." The little blue doe nudged her muzzle down under the rock, closing her eyes and pushing it, trying to dislodge it so the fawn could free her leg.

"I may not understand it all...what has happened...but I gave you a promise, and I'm keeping it.", Quad speaks softly, as not to disturb her but hoping she may hear him.

The blackbuck sits in the soft dirt by Kaoori's side, his eyes drift upward to the sky. He watches clouds go by, starting to see pictures in them of stags fighting one another and of strange creatures. He sighs and returns his gaze to the distance, facing towards De Drinkplaats but listening to the commotion seeming to come from the direction of the Old Oak.

He tunes out their distant calls and focuses only on what is close by. Birds chirping above his head, seeming to fly from branch to branch as they look down upon him and the doe he sits beside. He wonders what they talk about. He wonders if they describe the deer in a strange bird-speak, and if so, he wonders what they're saying this moment about him and Kaoori.

It doesn't matter. He closes his eyes and relaxes. The swaying of the high reeds that are covering the two of them is strangely peaceful. The wind is gentle and animates them as if they were moving all on their own. He smiles here, opening his eyes and looks up to the beautiful grasses that are protecting the two of them.

Remember everything you've learned., he thinks to himself, Remember what they told you. You are in this very moment to fulfill the vow you gave to her. Stay focused and watch all around. Someone may be after her, remember that.

He looks around. There's nobody close by. Only the birds above who seem preoccupied with their little bird things.

Quad's eyes start to shut. He forces them open, shaking his head rapidly to keep himself awake.

...but slowly, he starts to nod off, still sitting upright but sound asleep.

His ears are still listening. He appears to be alert to the untrained eye.

He laughs in his sleep, mumbling something that seems appropriate to the situation...

"...Asweep...awready...sum...protect'r...I am..."

Violet saw she was helped along, and felt Kaoori pushed the hoof further outside. Violet also felt she can free her hoof, and pulled it out with a little 'pop'. It didn't touch Kaoori with that 'pop'. Violet shook her leg and then said: "Oh. I'm sorry... But it did come out before you said it, I'm sorry. Did it touch your muzzle? And I'd like to introduce myself, where are my manners anyway? My name is Violet, from the flowers I wear as a flower crown, and Rosie is my second name, from red roses I love..." She was quite nervous, as thought she has done too much mistakes today. First, that damn curiosity what drew her deep inside The Forest. Then that dashing and getting stuck, and finally the manners. Violet felt she'd want to slap herself.

Okay, I'll do my best to reply to them all-

Laciepoo-
The little shika knew she was there, she just was too tired to move. Lacie had also been there in one of her darkest hours; the loss of Hoshiko. She had never forgotten that, and sha appreciated her being here. When she had regained control of herself she would be sure to seek the other out and offer a thank you- a nuzzle, even if words couldn't be said for the gratitude she felt towards her friend.

Quaddles-
Kaoori heard Quad settle by quietly, opening one eye slowly, then closing it. She wouldn't run. Quad had been trying hard lately to protect her. He had indded made sure two deer had moved away while he was there, she watched with a half-open eye. He underestimated himself. He was as strong as he wanted to be.
His murmuring made her drowsy, and she fell asleep under his watchful eye.

Jettem-
(that actually made me tear up a bit. ;_; )

Kaoori relented when Jettem sat beside her, tucking the little doe close to her. She closed her eyes; it had been some time since the sisters had been close like this. Once again, Jettem had come to her aid. She relaxed somewhat, closing her eyes, and resting against her, a deep sigh letting loose. Her sanity had been coming back to her slowly over the night, but she had been so surprised and shocked by the previous day's events she let her mind disappear somewhere else while her body stayed. She was tired. As she had been doing all day, she drifted off into another sleep, but this time a more restful one- content to be at Jettem's side.

Deerth-
Kaoori laughed at the little fawn's energy. "I'm fine, it's alright. How is your leg, is it injured?" She looked down at it, but could not find any visible injuries. She then looked back up. "My name is Kaoori. You said you just arrived here-- are you new to the forest?"

"You've heard a lot about me?" Kaoori laughed. She hoped it was good things. "I'm sorry to hear about your mother. But I'm glad you've found someone who looks over you and cares for you. And it's always good to have friends." She looked up in thought for a moment, then smiled at Violet. "Have you eaten yet today? I know a place where we can find some delicious berries."

Violet smiled and replied: "Yes, I've had heard of you... And I agree with you." After hearing Kaoori's proposal, Violet replied yet again: "No... I haven't. I forgot...? But I'll gladly eat. I'll follow you, Kaoori!" Violet was already ready to go. Indeed, Violet had forgot eating, because she's almost lost her mind sometimes when wandering in the depths of The Forest. Curiosity did that to Violet, but she didn't seem to mind.
