Newbie Fawn

Hello everyone,

I am a very new addition to The Endless Forest. My experience so far has been very pleasant, all the deer I have met are very polite. I have slowly been getting the hang of using magic to change pelts, antlers, and masks. I know the changes don't stick to the Fawns. Sad But it is still fun to have a temporary change. My favorite is the big rack of antlers and the blue pelt. Though I'm sure I will have many more favorites the longer I play. Smiling

I would like to meet a few experienced players, who would be willing to help a newbie better understand how everything works. I would also love to meet a few playful deer that enjoy playing chase. Many of the deer that I have met already haven't wanted to run or maybe they didn't understand my gestures. Smiling A running companion would be greatly appreciated.

I almost can't wait for the month to pass till my fawn grows up. Smiling

Anyway, I am delighted to receive 4 responses so quickly. I would love to go play in the forest now, but sadly I'm at school now. If anyone will be on in 5 hours. That is when I will be home and able to log on. Smiling

I think my fawn would enjoy meeting Ayashe. I haven't thought of a name yet. I was going to wait till she/he grew up, but I think my little fawn could use a fawn name and then graduate to an adult one once she/he grows up. Heehee. I have to decide my fawn's gender first I suppose anyway. Smiling

I would love to meet Vala, I hope I have the opportunity to soon.

I was online last night at about 11pm mountain time U.S.A. I saw three other fawns I believe and a couple adult deer. It was my first experience with pelt changing! I found my blue one with the help of a zombie antlered deer. Smiling

Oh, I don't know how to find my picto for my fawn. I missed my opportunity to capture it when I first registered. Sad Do I need to take a screen shot while in the forest of the picto above my fawn's head? Smiling

Welcome to The Forest! People tend to be pretty friendly in the Community so don't be shy about asking questions and such.

As for making it more clear on who you are talking to most people just put something like...

Person 1's Name,
BlaBla

Person 2's Name:
BlaBla

It's not official but it seems the usual way people use to make things less confusing without posting multiple times in a row.

To show someone your picto they just use a link with the deer's name like so. Make sure to put the right Caps.

Anyone/Everyone,

I have one more question. Last night I closed The Endless Forest application without logging off. What happened to my fawn? Did it disappear? Or can other players see it sleeping? Smiling When would it stay in the game but be asleep? Do I need to have the application open on my computer?

If you close out or log off

If you close out or log off your deer/fawn 'poofs' into a cloud of smoke and vanishes. If you want your deer/fawn to stay sleeping in the forest just don't touch it and leave it running. You're deer will fall asleep after... five minutes I think it was? If you don't touch the game or move your mouse over it.

As long as it doesn't "turn

As long as it doesn't "turn off" or ... I'm not sure about hibernation mode. But if your screen goes to a screen saver or turns off the game should still be running.
