Newbie / Assistance?

Hello there, members of The Endless Forest Community. :3
I'm SandriPaws (though I normally go by either Sandi or Fiya. It doesn't matter what you call me, though.), and I'm actually quite surprised with myself for writing this. I normally get all defensive when posting in a community that I'm not very familiar with, but after reading around and seeing how nice a lot of you people are, I decided to give it a try. =3
Alrighty, so I'm about 75% nubcake and 25% old-bie, I guess. I have two accounts, I guess-- one that I just recently made in this name, and another one I just recently remembered that I made a long time ago.
Today I tried playing on my older account just to mess around with the Forest Magic and stuff. Well, it seems that I can receive it just fine. But for some reason, when I cast it on others, it doesn't show up.
I'm sure there's something obvious I'm missing or doing wrong here. So, if possible, please do explain!

Although you shouldn't be able to cast the new pelts, masks, and antlers, either...

Welcome! There are a few
There are a few reasons I can think of that would cause what you've listed;
-Your connection, or the connection of the deer you cast on was slow or poor. If you couldn't cast on anybody it would be safe to assume it was your internet connection.
-Were you casting on a nameless/guest account pictogram deer? If so, spells wear off and sometimes don't appear on them, so it could be that.
Other than those...I have no idea
I would advise, if you know your internet connection isn't the problem, to uninstall and download the newest version of The Endless Forest. If that doesn't solve your problem, I'm not sure what will, but you could post on the Support Forum and maybe someone there would be more knowledgeable.

And I guess it was the version problem. I was unaware of the recent update and simply re-downloaded it. It seemed to work after that.
