You're entertaining to watch! And, unlike most Let's Players who play this game, you don't patronize it like mad and that's nice. I've subbed.

I'd be more than willing to help you out with spells and what not. I actually really adore the fact you're not sitting there mocking every aspect of the game. It's such a peaceful wonderful place and it deserves the respect you've given it.

Hey again all. I'm not a typical gamer (and that's it's own struggle), so that may be why I'm "into" this sort of game. (Then again, you're all into it too and it's a game, therefore to me you are 'gamers'.) I am an artist as well, and a lot older than the typical gamer. But I also don't mock things for the sake of mocking things, even if I don't like them. That's a waste of time and a misdirection of energy, IMO. Life is too short to spend it hating. Go do something you love instead of playing a game you don't like, making fun of people who enjoy it. That's a small minded thing for someone to do. I apologize on their behalf if people have treated this game that way. It's not my place to apologize for them, but I just hate to think of all gamers being painted with that same brush. There are a lot of immature gamers out there, but we're not all like that.

I don't know how long my Let's Play on the server will last, but I'd like to at least let my fawn grow into a stag and get to explore and interact with other players. I really appreciate the warm welcome here and I hope to see some of you in-game.

And to "Unplugged" how cool! What a crazy small world we live in.

It's really nice of you to be approaching it from a more open-minded perspective than a lot of letsplayers. As much as I've been buried deep in video games for my entire life I tend to avoid communities at large since they tend to be... angry. So I'm glad you're chill.

Gamers is such a dangerous word on the whole. Everyone has their own judgements and definitions and measure of expertise for qualification. I just try not to think about it and play my vidya.

Just watched the video, and I have to say, I´m really happy to see this kind of let´s play where the player is actually interested and open-minded of this game. TEF is an unusual game which means that not everyone enjoys it, but who do... well, people should let them do so. So, thank you. Definitely keeping an eye out for more. =)

Also, just for a tip; seeing you were a bit confused with things. Trying not to spoil things that you might want to discover by your own. =)
While running around the forest, keep watch for additional commands that might pop out. They might let you do some fun things. Especially, for one, by that fountain you found. =) Second, you seemed to have quite a lag, which can result in freezing the deer, yours or other players. So, they might respond to you, you just can´t see it because the game is lagging. Usually decreasing some not so important effects like character shadows might help. Hope this was of some help, and sorry for babbling.

Just checked out the newest video... got surprised when I suddenly heard you drop my name, haha. yes hello i know you from places. Kinda funny to suddenly interact with someone you've only known through videos otherwise. I hope I don't come across like some creepy stalker, hah.
We've been hanging around you yesterday. I was the white deer with the black mask dancing by the ruins and also appeared in the last few seconds of your video.

A few thoughts I had:

* TEF runs on a pretty small server so they sometimes have difficulties handling many players at once. The problem you experienced with deer not showing up is pretty common. You'll see that the pictograms seem to "collect" at the bottom of your screen at first. Usually it'll take a while for them to spread and the other deer to show up. I'd definitely recommend letting the pictos spread first before starting to record.
* I'd assume your low framerate also has more to do with the TEF servers rather than with your computer. Plus, the game /is/ a bit dated after all, so I'm not surprised it doesn't run as smoothly as it maybe could.
* ((You also mentioned you would've hoped to see the game develop more. Unfortunately Tale of Tales just doesn't have the funding to make any major changes to TEF at the moment. They did add some new pelts very recently though, which was really awesome to see.))
* You should technically be able to use the space bar to jump. Alternatively, you can use the H key.
* There are indeed hotkeys for the game which make interaction much easier and quicker. F1 - F12 can be used for that. To bind a hotkey, move your cursor over the corresponding button and then press the F-key. To use the hotkey then just make sure your mouse isn't over any other button. That way you can assign any emotion/activity to a key.
* For a pelt spell, you need to lay down next to a sleeping deer for a few seconds. If you want you can check out the Forest Magic page for more info.

And Unplugged, doesn't seem weird at all to me. Thanks for the advice. Rebinding some of the moves is a good idea and something I'll probably do, thanks. And thanks for joining me in-game. It's fun to have friends to interact with.
