I want to wait until
The Great Wolf RP is finished before I start this one, but here's the synopsis:
Trunks is the guide for lost souls, those who are stuck in 'limbo' so to speak. the thought i had was maybe while collecting souls to guide, a few deer ask to see where he takes them. So he guides them to a completely different realm, showing them the way leading to the other side, but something goes wrong...
Anyone interested?

"The candle is lit..looks like the path is ready to go.", Trunks smiled. The beautiful flickering of the stone pagoda he had placed illuminated the trees and casted eerie shadows in the night. He raised his head, and looking around, he waited for the
wisps to come.
It was his job to guide them to the next life. He was appointed by the Twin Gods themselves to lead those lost between this life and the next. He enjoyed the task, since he barely had a life of his own to live. He had five years to do this for his gods, before they allowed him to cross over as well.
The time was passing rather quickly for him. Already it had been more than two years. He let out a sigh, but as he did, he noticed a wisp approaching his light. His frown turned into a gentle smile and he approached the deceased,
"Hello there, it's time for you to move on from this life."
Other wisps were floating by, attracted to the beautiful little stone building, and there Trunks bowed to each of them and began to speak more about the plan for the night...
Interesting.

((Sorry for the wait)) His
His ears perked, he thought he heard movement. How odd, since the wisps barely made any noise when they moved.
"Hello? Is there anyone else here with me?", Trunks spoke, both to the spirits and to any deer who happened to be in the area.
((Mind if I join?))
Yeah go for it. It's open to
I'm not really sure what direction I'll take it anyway.
((You could just wing it...
Cordis' ears pricked as she heard someone speak. A voice she had never heard before, calling for someone.
She stood up and poked her head around the tree.
"I'm here. Is there something wrong?"

{{This would be a good chance
He hated it. The dark. It, terrified him. Claude, where was Claude? They had fallen, they were dead, Claude was dead, Hannah was dead, he was dead, he had to be dead, Hannah said he was dead, they were all supposed to go to Nirvana. How could this be Nirvana? There was no Nirvana without light, no heaven without Claude.
"Claude, this is an order, I command you to turn the lights on!" he stood, back arched, trembling, a tiny deer, pale sort of cream-gold, a head of silky hair on his head just a shade darker.
Over his back lay markings of rich violet, from his shoulders to his large overly fluffed tail.
He stuck his tongue out, looking down the bridge of his nose. Yes, his marking was still there, so why wasn't Claude making light?
...
Something shimmering and light passed by.
He blinked, eyes such a rich aqua one might have thought the colour was fake. But no, it was naturally his.
Like a stricken dog he cowered, creeping after this small source of light.
And then there was another, and another...
He straightened himself out now, flames casting light upon the trees. Was Claude here?
No, he didn't, see him...
But there was a deer! Bowing to the strange lights!
The gold-and-purple buck quickly bounced over, glaring up at this stranger with a ferocity unbecoming of something so small, so, fragile.
"Are you Claude?" he demanded.
The ghost deer smiles and
He then sees Teradeer approach and bow as well, "Yes, hello to you too!", Trunks bows back. "Interesting...you don't appear to be dead, so I'd assume you're not here to pass? I don't want to take anyone who isn't ready to go..."
During this time, a third appeared before him, one considerably smaller. "Claude? No, I'm afraid I am not Claude. My name is Trunks...", the ghost deer says bowing a third time, though he hesitates for a moment, "Although...that name...Claude sounds very familiar." He notes that the third was much similar to that of the wisps. "How interesting, you have kept your deer form much like myself. But the choice is yours whether you are going to the other side or not. The wisps have forgotten who they are, so I take them regardless. Those who are suffering as they are, I cannot just stand by and let it continue." He said a mouthful, not seeming to make too much sense to those who would not understand what he was even talking about.
"...?" Spheres of light all
"...?"
Spheres of light all gathered...will-o'-the-wisps, are they? Just...like it? Only not it...or are they?
A spherical wisp of bright white light, brighter than all of the others, yet dull as the dimmest of moons, approaches the gathering of lights and deer and one guide. It makes a humming noise, and when it speaks its voice is no less singing than that of the Forest's great Old Oak.
"...Hello...?"
His ears twitch, he catches
Trunks nods and says, "Well you're more than welcome to come if you'd please."
He does not realize that his words seem to make things more confusing. He never explains what will happen here to those who he speak to. It's as if he assumes they know what is going on.
From its sprawled seat on the
He hangs his head, as if in
His ears cocked at the sight of Teradeer, not unlike a jack-o-lantern, all lit up with the soul of another. And the little buck takes on a cocky look, marching up to the 'corpse' looking up at it.
"That was funny, do it again" he demands, tapping the ground childishly with a front hoof.
The corpse cocks an eyebrow
Trunks lowered his head, the
The idea of one having others serve work for them or otherwise serve them was an odd concept to Trunks. After all, he didn't live long enough to ever be treated in such a way. He has always looked out for others, but only on a temporary basis and never as a servant.
He turns to Teradeer and smiles at the spectacle he sees. "That one must really like you...", and then turning toward the others, he speaks, "I have noticed that some of them are hanging around each of you in particular...how very interesting..."
The wisp listens to each of
The wisp listens to each of the deer in turn as they talk. Then it sees the corpse-deer, catching wisps in its huge mouth. This bright wisp floats over to the corpse and begins circling it, picking up velocity until it is at such speeds that it would be almost impossible to catch. Streams of white light follow swiftly behind it, fading away at the ends.
Suddenly, the wisp arches over the corpse, changing form as it does, and when it touches the ground it has landed in the form of a brilliant white deer, its eyes hidden behind its lit self, and with a single antler centered on the forehead that is shaped like a forward-facing crescent moon. It is as small as a fawn, but the brightness of its light, shining out in rays yet not at all illuminating the night air, may in itself be a little intimidating to some.
"Stop that!" it scolds the deer. "You are being very disrespectful!" For some reason it seems angered by the other's actions, but then, abruptly, it smiles and giggles, and begins bouncing playfully around the corpse, as though having a sudden change of mood. "If you want to capture wisps," it says, "then capture me!" And in a moment it is back in the shape of a sphere, yet the humanoid face of its deer form is now faintly visible, albeit it is not very distinct.
"'course some would hang
"They're pretty, not as pretty as me of course" he frowned, deep, eyes narrowing. "Nobody is as beautiful as me" a giggle, "Well, maybe, Claude, or, Sebastian...or of course, Ciel" he's talking to himself.
After a moment he turns again though, flops himself in front of Teradeer.
"Bloody hell, I've never seen something that looked dead moving around like you, neat, me and you are friends now, I say so. And as Lord Alois what I say goes!" he stated, as if he owned the world.
In his mind, he did.
The circling shadow about the Teradeer took him by surprise, and he jumped back, scrambling to his hooves.
"so? I think it's funny, who cares if they're disrespected, it's fine if it's for my entertainment!" his legs are shaking though, the bravery is a bluff.
((Gah, it only just hit me -
What Trunks had said about the lights liking some in particular made sense; one was bobbing around her now. It flew in and out of her legs then arced over her back. It stopped in front her face, she gave it a quizzical look before it foated forward and touched her nose. There was a moment when sparks of ecstasy flew through her. Then it stopped and she was suddenly hit with farmiliar scents and sounds.
She stumbled back, shocked at the little ball of light. Could it be...? Was it really...? Him?
She marched up to Trunks.
"I won't let you take Him! Just leave Him with me, okay?"
The words were words of anger, yet anyone listening would have just heard sorrow, a feeling matched by the tears that were threatening to spill.
Trunks could hear the pain in
But he sighs here, and then says, "But if I take your mate, I understand I will make you suffer more. Maybe there's a way to explain to him where he is. I'll leave him in your care, but he is your responsibility."
He then raises his head and says, "I think we have all the wisps here. I will prepare the pathway. It will take a moment to create, and can be very dangerous on the other side. I don't want to lose any of you who are not ready to cross over.", his warning at the end is painful for him to say.
He has taken living deer to the plane only for them to die in the process - perhaps the worst day he has ever experienced.
Teradeer blinks, put off by
Trunks nods, and then closing
"Indicano la strada verso l'altro lato.
Aprite la porta verso la terra dei fantasmi.
Coloro che desiderano per la rinascita croce."

Show the way to the other side.
Open the door to the land of ghosts.
Let those who wish for rebirth cross.*
And when the words were spoken, a blast of wind rushed past them. The wisps remained where they were, unaffected. Close to where the pagoda lantern was, a strange portal appeared, looking much like a dark tunnel, a light in the very center of a circle of darkness.
"Those who are coming, let's go. But don't touch anything. You will be tempted, and there are many dangerous things within. I will tell you what is safe to interact with and what never to touch! Come on.", Trunks speaks, and is the first to walk in. The wisps follow seemingly unwillingly.
* Originally I was going to translate this to Latin, but some of the words did not have a Latin translation. There is no special reason why it's in Italian, I just know a little Italian.
Though a little shocked at
Only one way to find out, Cord! She gave herself a mental prep talk, glancing at the wisp that had settled between her short antlers. It was the only one not to follow the ghost deer. It recognised her, that was obvious but did it understand her? Was it concious of it's state?
She shook her head, took a deep breath and then leapt into the tunnel after Trunks.
The wisp pauses, returning to
The wisp pauses, returning to a deer-like form, and walks, almost dejectedly, away form the corpse-deer. It turns away from the others and focuses on the one named Trunks, cocking its ears forward, its head to one side in curiosity. It listens to the words of the deer, nearly able to understand the words as though they were actually spoken in the same language as the deer.
"I follow-follow-follow you!" the wisp sings with a little dance of its own. It follows in after Trunks.
Those who have stepped
At the end of the platform is a glowing portal, a swirling green galaxy. Trunks has stopped at one point, the wisps are following and drifting toward the green portal.
Nearby there are other strange objects - giant shimmering crystals, great idols that seem to cry water off the edge of the platform, and several large, sealed chests. The words Trunks spoke echo once more, don't touch anything...yet these strange and marvelous treasures seem very tempting.
Alois gives a pause. He is
He is tempted. But, Alois is a coward. There's no doubt.
No, not a coward, he is simply a child, a lost and lonely boy in the body of a buck. And so he steps back.
He won't follow this time. Desperate, he wishes for Claude. He cannot leave this forest until he knows that Claude is not hidden amongst the trees.
And so, as the others depart, so does he. But in the other direction. Great leaping bounds bringing him to the treeline, and he soon is gone from sight.
Her eyes widen at the
She approached one of the chests and sniffed it tentatively. Mmm... it smelled good!
She leaned forward to flip it open but something stopped her. The angry movements of the wisp above her head. It was only then she remembered Trunk's warning. She shivered slightly. What would have happened if she had have touched it? She picked up her pace, ignoring the temptations and following the wisps and the ghost deer through the green galaxy, wondering what the new one held.
